Monday Humor
Repost I know, but there is method to my madness which will become apparent soon enough. This was one of my first forays into humor here, and I admit I was a bit nervous on how it would be received with the TAH crew. Didn’t know the audience well, and the video contains sex, violence, and mystery wrapped in a Western theme. Should have known better, the comments were all extremely supportive. So once again, here’s Eric Kassack’s The Gunfighter.
Hat tip to AW1 Rod for the link, enjoy!

Funny then, funny now!
Glad to know Ron Swanson is still out there.
That’s pretty damned funny! I don’t know where in the hell I was(or am), but I’ve never seen that before. Thanks!
I’ve always hated the voice over with the only caveat being it’s some sleazy hardassed detective talking in a film noir, or Karl Kolchak.
I did once think it would be cool to have some great back up singers, and the Stax/Volt or Muscle Shoals rhythm section following me around adding back up vocals and cool music to make everything I said sound really profound.
I was pretty drunk when I thought of that.
Superb acting and filming. Would love to see the out takes.
This was live footage in a real western bar. No acting. No out takes. 🙂
giggle snort tee n hee. Been awhile but still funny as all hell. Thanks for the flashback memory. Just as funny now.
Another meaning to the term “Sheep Dipped?”
Here is the film again in case one has trouble opening in Vimeo.
Thank You, AW1Ed…we needed this much needed humor and laughter!
“I don’t care who you are, that’s funny!” – Larry the Cable Guy
So I’m wondering, was the comment about the bartender a reference to Hollywood westerns? It certainly was not the case with true western saloons, since most of the free blacks went west in search of work and property. As I understand it, it was more rare to see a white guy than it was to see a Black, Hispanic, or Native American!
Approx 1/3 of cowboys were Black, 1/3rd White, and the remainder Mexican, Indian, mixed, and other.
Blacks were not the bottom of that social stratum.
Isn’t revisionist history fun? So much stuff that “everybody knows” just is not so.
Kids today have little to no idea what it took to build this country or how folks had to live to survive as they built it.
The closing voiceover should have been:
“And the rabid wolf died 48 hours later of an itchy throat…”
To make it a clean sweep.
Ol’ Poe just hates loose ends…
Oh that is brutally awesome!
Now I don’t care who you are, that is some funny shit!
HEY WW, good to see you again, hope you’re doing well!
