Billings pizza delivery driver shoots alleged robber
By PAUL HAMBY
One man is in the hospital with a gunshot wound after apparently trying to rob a worker delivering a pizza on the South Side Friday night.Multiple Billings Police Department cruisers responded around 8:20 p.m. to the 300 block of South 28th Street, blocking off a portion of the road between Third and Fourth Avenue South. The condition of the man is unknown, and police are still conducting an investigation.
“The pizza delivery guy was attempting to deliver pizzas, when he claims that he was robbed. While in the process of being robbed, in self-defense he’s claiming, he fired a weapon, striking the suspect,” said Billings Police Sgt. Clyde Reid.
A white Sedan at the scene had a cracked windshield with visible holes. Reid said the suspect was struck in the abdomen, and then ran into a nearby alleyway where officers apprehended him. The delivery man remained under questioning by police, while the suspect was transported to St. Vincent Healthcare.

Police: Juvenile shot, killed man inside Batesville apartment, possibly in self-defense
No charges yet in connection with man’s death
BATESVILLE, Ind. — In what law enforcement officials are calling a possible case of self-defense, a juvenile shot and killed a 46-year-old man inside a Batesville apartment on Monday.
Officers responded to Canterbury Apartments at approximately 8 a.m. to find the deceased man shot in the chest.
Witnesses at the scene told investigators the juvenile shot the man, who was allegedly armed with a knife and attacking the juvenile’s mother.
Both the child and his mother are cooperating with authorities, and the Franklin County prosecutor said he would not pursue criminal charges until police complete their investigation.

The BATESVILLE, Ind. story seems to be a clear case of justified deadly physical force – the first story in Billings is less clear. I searched online for any updates and could find none.
How many pizza delivery people actually carry enough cash money to risk being robbed of? That kinda dried up around here after a spate of them and what few places delivered had a pay in advance by CC policy. Guess the taxpayer will be getting all of the billings for the suspects hospital costs. At least the reporter knows the difference in suspect (perp) and victim. I’ll have a pepperoni, with bacon, ‘shrooms, and extry cheese please. Oh, and a 24 count of hot wings with some of them cheesy bread stick things. Might need some snacky stuff for the Friday WOT Crowd.
Indiana may want you but Mama’s Baby says you can’t go back there. Least the DRT is close to the casket plant, might speed up his planting. “I was in fear for my Mama’s life. I will co-operate fully. I wish to wait for my Attorney before I make a statement.” Then STFU
MP-443? “…all steel construction….body armour defeating cartridge….9mm NATO equivalent round…” Hmmm? Wonder what Ivan was thinking? Hmmm? That one might make you PeeYa britches.

Exactly the conversation and manner you need for YOUR protection from overzealous prosecution and moronic policies driven by power hungry leftist klown kollege dropouts…
I drove across the continent, N-S last week to visit family and deliver a set of drums to a nascent drummer in the family, carried both directions but, thankfully never needed to use the Kimber Custom boss of the firearms !!!
“The MP-353 fires rubber bullets and is classified as a “non-lethal” pistol. ”
Rubber bullets………non-lethal……might just want to ask the guy that got shot in the nuts the other night. Yes, he lives, but I’m thinking he wishes he were dead.
“chamberings requested included 9x19mm Parabellum, 9x18mm Makarov and 7.62x25mm Tokarev”
I could see that the 9×19 & 9×18 would be very close in performance.
How would the 7.62×25 compare against the other two?
9×18 is 9mm Makarov and is marginally hotter than a .380. 7.62 Tokarev is a snappy litle .30ish caliber. 9mm, especially a +P, is more powerful than both. In general, if you have both more muzzle energy and greater bullet diameter in one cartridge than another, within reasonable limits the bigger numbers indicate the better fighting cartridge.
