Scotty sends us his work on Kenneth John Boyles, another motorcycle club member/president pretending to be a special forces soldier. He claims that he had one of his testicles shot off, so he has a plastic nut – but that he earned a Purple Heart for it. He claims service in Desert Storm and the Global War on Terror. He has service DURING those periods but not IN the wars.
I guess if you want to run into phonies, you should troll motorcycle clubs and weddings, because that’s where they are all hanging out these days, apparently.

@102–and if the Army recruiting is anything like Navy recruiting (fm2176, you there?) having an E-4 in the field is more like HARP (Hometown Assistance Recruiting Program) where kids go back home for a few weeks, but this guy was just waiting to get booted.
No way in hell this guy was a “bag” recruiter–didn’t go through the school, and more likely than not his station wanted him nowhere near any prospects whatsoever. His days probably consisted of the recruiter-in-charge of the station (SSG or SFC) going, “Okay, we’re going to do some PDC’s, etc. Sit here, answer the phone, if someone comes in, call us or have them stick around until we get back, but under no circumstances are you to try to sell them. PERIOD.”
Basically a case of sit in the car, don’t touch the radio.

OMG yes, this kind of fakery is rampant in the MC world, particularly among the Harley Davidson crowd. Try to find a bearded, Harley-riding 60-something biker who wasn’t in Vietnam. You can’t do it. They were ALL there, apparently, duking it out with “Charlie.” Even the guys who are my age and I was in Junior High School when the NVA finally captured Saigon.
It’s even spawned a bit of a cottage industry in “veterans” motorcycle clubs, and it only takes a few minutes of conversation to realize how FOS many of these “veterans” are. But within the motorcycle riding community, and again, especially within the Harley community (which is a large sub-set of motorcycle riders as a whole), these stories are accepted with absolutely no question and no proof.

Well he had a bunch of us snowed. I can’t count high enough to make the amount if lies make sense. His liscence plate on his gray dodge ram is a CIB plate and the stickers on the back of his truck say I served in Afghanistan . He specifically told me he served over seas in combat and was a Member of the elite 7th special Forces group. Also he claimed to be injured by IED. Further I served in one of the same units as he and just spoke with some of the soldiers he served his reserve time with. they all say everything he said and is portraying is a lie. I hope u see this Boyles ! You fucked up BOY!
It would be more than cool if he would remove all that unearned stuff from his vehicles. If you local guys would like to make that happen, we can probably help find some other folks to facilitate it happening.

We just want him to stop claiming honors he did not earn. And apology for doing so would be nice. And not using his unearned accolades for a questionable charity is a must.
He needs to know that he will not be forgotten. He needs to know that we expect him to be held accountable. A quick look around this site shows what this crowd is capable of doing to Valor Thieves.
Most of us around here also have no hesitation in seeing that Valor Thieves are arrested when their activities are criminal in nature. Stealing valor from our warriors who have earned it is disgusting.

I swerved with this POS and while we went to Iraq to run route clearance missions he “got hurt” (07-08) and then told me he joined up with the 10th mountain and went to Afghanistan but yet when I got on Wikipedia it said 10th mountain pulled out in 07 and in the email he sent stolen valor he even says he was in wv recovering June 07- jan 08 he is truly a piece of shit and I know quite a few guys that would love to remove the stuff off his vehicles and him if possible! I hope a news channel picks this story up and everyone sees what he really is!!!!! As many have said already your fucked fake nut!!!

Just to clarify here, in no way am I trying to discourage others from making contact with the media in and around Clarksburg. You never know whether local requests or those from outside the area carry more weight with the media, or what other items may be demanding their attention at the moment.

Boyle sent me his DD214, and it looks like there’s a CIB on it. Even though he’s never deployed, even though he’s never been infantry nor special forces. He admits it, but there’s a CIB on his DD214. He said that someone told him that he should wear it. Oh, yeah, all of the other shit he was wearing, that was to honor some imaginary friend. He thought the 7th Group was cool, so he was honoring them. Hey, I’m just telling you what I know.

I ran into one of those assholes shortly after getting back from Taji. A new guy to the unit walks in wearing his shiny new CIB. I asked him where he got it. He made no bones about the fact that he didn’t really earn it, having spent all his time in Kuwait, but it was on his DD-214.
