What we have here is the usual complete detactment from reality with the usual projection. And in this case, an unwitting admission. (Altho that, too, is very common.)
Guy with a sign to those of us with normal intellect is just a guy with a sign. To a lefty, it simply MUST be political in nature because from a lefty, any sign he or she holds is in direct support of some lefty political cause, and since that defines “normal” to them, any sign anyone else would hold would therefore also be political.
Since we are told that the sign above is a political statement against their political position, with a convoluted explanation of what this sign represents, by elimination it is clear where the latest persona of .03 stands politically.
As if there was any doubt.
In #82,“If people are still willing to push through disease and potential danger in order to make themselves heard” See, everyone, that excuses shitting in the streets, or on a car, and rapes, OD’s, using your kid for a human shield because you don’t have the stones to stand on your own, theft, property destruction and the rest. They’re just trying to “make themselves heard”.
And, this, “right to protest was enumerated“. I don’t think “enumerated” means what it thinks it means.
What they are demanding is people’s attention. THAT is not a enumerated right.
OWB–they have (should I say “HAD”) our attention. They just didn’t like the reaction they got from us.
#82: Very wrong. The bonus army was organized, and sanitary. They asked for no more than that which they were promised as recompence for their service. OWS is not demanding what is owed to them by law. in fact they are demanding things that we could not rationally as a society provide. That’s fine. they can sit and chant. Whatever but they ARE starting to infringe on peoples rights. Occupy Oakland taking over a port is a great example.

Nothing gets to them faster than either being ignored or laughed at. Yet somehow they are always amazed to discover that committing illegal acts brings about contempt for them.
Then again, folks who concurrently attempt to be liked and not care what anyone thinks about them are guaranteed disappointment.

These Occutards are idiots. There was one id10t in Portland who was holding his 2y.o. and challenging cops, believing that cops wouldn’t pepper spray his ass while he had his kid. Yeah. It was interesting. When the cops began their push because the Occutards were blocking traffic, a DHS (Human Services) cop grabbed the kid and pulled at the same time as my buddy sprayed point-blank into the asshat’s face. He was arrested and his wife was pissed when she learned that her kid was “in the system.”
All things considered, I do not support what these people are doing. I served honorably and came back to crap. I’m currently unemployed and living off of unemployment and hating it. I would rather support myself and my wife on my own. I’m not asking the government for anything as it is up to me to find a job (even there are none to be found).
I’m now going to college (Liberty University Online, not an indoctrination school) to become a Chaplain in the Army. Yes, I am getting loans, but I plan to pay those back with my officer pay. However, the only government “hand-out” I am happy to use is my G.I.Bill, because I actually earned it as it was a contracted agreement for my service.
Otherwise, I think it is funny that the guys playing in the Rockpile got together to do this. Everyone at the VFW loves the picture, though I had one complaint. A former Marine said the guy to the right of the sign looks to be a Marine and takes offense that he is being disparagingly called a soldier. 😛
Those are new camies being fielded by the Army. The Lt that was brought home by the boston Bruins last week was wearing them during the ceremonial puck drop. Hats off to you for doing it right, even though the right way isn’t always the easiest. Keep your head up man. Things will get better.

First, I would like to point out that this picture is borderline to violating UCMJ Articles that restrict protesting in uniform. While I recognize that it is simple “ribbing”, it can still be misinterpreted, and as a fellow soldier and NCO I am actually quite upset that any soldier would put themself into a situation that would bring disripute onto the uniform that I wear.
Secondly, these soldiers have no idea, obviously, how or why the “Occupy” protests came into existence in the first place. Their college is paid for, their healthcare is taken care of…. and they deserve every bit it, as I feel I do. However, to assume that persons persuing other paths in life don’t ALSO deserve those rights an privelegs that have been guaranteed by the Constitution that they swore to protect is not only naive…. it is IDIOTIC!!

Yeah, their healthcare and their college is paid for because they EARNED it, just like anyone else who isn’t a drug user or criminal can do for themselves.
