Michael Prysner; true communist hero
If you google his name, you’ll find hundreds of websites that call Mike Prysner a “true war hero“. Why? Well, because he opposes the war against terror, of course. The Left likes to see buffoons who wear their uniform at their protests. Prysner is more than willing to fill the boots for them. But, Prysner has other aspirations, too.
See, he’s already tried to use his anti-war and veteran credentials to run for political office in Florida in the “Party for Socialism and Liberation”.
He’s already joined and then left the IVAW because they weren’t radical enough for him. He co-formed March Forward, a veteran contingent of the Maoist ANSWER. Here’s a slickerized version of his testimony at Winter Soldier that he’s been sending out to the Leftists around the internet;
Prysner claims that he tried to be proud of his service, but that he’s ashamed. That’s funny, because I can hardly find a picture of him in which he’s not wearing some remnant of his uniform.
So what did this witness to war crimes and racism do in northern Iraq that made him such a hard-bitten anti-American? He was a ground surveillance radar guy. Here’s his records;
He served as a Imagery Ground Station (IGS) Operator and a Common Ground Station (CGS) Operator with the 10th Mountain Division. It seems to me that if he saw all of the bad things he described during his tour, and he’s wracked with such guilt, he’d report it. Even though, in my experience, he probably didn’t see much at all, since his job was to stare at screens. But, ya know, Iraq was a different war and maybe he did actually work outside the wire – but there’s no Combat Action Badge in his records which tells me he didn’t see much at all.
The only way he can become a hero is to be called one by people who have really, really low standards for heroes.
Just to show what type of Communism Socialism that Mike is supporting.

Communism is supposedly based on envy and therefore bad. Capitalism is based on Greed, how is that better? Super rich CEO’s eliminate 100’s of jobs so they can afford their new jet. All of you crybaby Miami Cubans are welcome to do something about the current Castro regime the same way he did to the Batista regime. Or are you “Gusanos” too lazy.
SP Jack Klompus,
I find Lysander Spooner to be delightful reading.
I dont really give a damn if he’s a mao’ist, communist whatever. I saw his Winter Soldier speech and he was right on. Every word he spoke the truth. So many of you are sheep who have been conditioned to think the way you do. Get an original thought and actually use the brains God gave you. The U.S. has been in continous War my entire life, and I am 49 years old. How much longer do we allow this? If anyone is a traitor, it is YOU who curse this man, for he is real and you are trained monkey robots.
As a trained monkey robot I am especially adept at throwing the poo at Communists, Maoists and everyone else that does not give me digital bananas.
Disclaimer: The aforementioned “digital bananas” in no way refers to certain parts of the male anatomy. DADT has not yet been rescinded and throwing poo in lieu of receiving the daily requirement of bananas is in no way homoerotic, nor are any homosexual references to be derived from such statement, act or marriage. The End.
some of the comments here are insane, mike prysner went to war for what he thought was a good reason, saw that the reasons for the war were false and felt bad about the killing of civilians and yet some of the moronic comments here are ANTI that sentiment, i hope anyone opposing peace realises their mistake sooner rather than later. there have been more civilian deaths in iraq due to uk/us soldiers than saddam hussein himself caused, so far.
If you think war wasn’t the answer, you didn’t understand the question. So far.
Everyone that has been to Iraq or A-stan and REAL time outside the wire with significant contact with the locals say Aye!
All of those that have not, listen to the voices of experience.
How can people say that only one side of the media lies?
Why do people listen to what NPR or World news has to say (when they have anterior motives), but ignore veterans who have no overriding motives?
I generally write off people’s political opinion if it is based on second and third hand knowledge, and trust those that were there and lived the experience they are arguing for or against.
I think that’s why most people here hold phonies in such disdain. They are giving false witness and mischaracterizing or lying about what is going on and vets who have been there know it.
Aye!
“War or a lack of penis” might also lack some basic math knowlwdge. The number of deaths in Iraq due to the war can never come anywhere near the million deaths caused by Saddam’s territorial wars and repression against his own citizens.
You are all a bunch of cowards. FYI IRAQ DID NOT ATTACK AMERICA!
The IRAQI war was ALL BASED ON LIES, yet you still support the troops being deployed there?
HUH? Do you think the troops WANT TO BE THERE? NO!
5k Dead soldiers all based on lies and you have the balls to criticize someone who WANTS TO BRING THEM HOME?
What a bitch you are and a traitor to the american ppl.
And what a disgrace you are to the honorable name of Thomas Jefferson.
Another Paulite, Debra. Or 9/11 Truther although they can be the same thing.
He is not a Paulite. Paulites do not argue for socialized healthcare (as he is doing on Saturday Two-fer). Or rather I should say (because I can’t really say what Paulites do or don’t do since they are, in many cases, not the crowd I’m accustomed to), Ron Paul does not argue for socialized healthcare; he has always been opposed to it.
Paulites, on forums, do tend to adopt names of our founding fathers so that is what I think that he is. Ron Paul does not believe in socialized healthcare as far as I know but quite a few of his followers do for some reason.
It’s “racism” to get attacked on 9/11 and kick ass in return. Funny, how leftist boy’s sh*t applies to George Soros and company… he just wants all that bad stuff to be done in the name of “social justice” so we don’t have things like private property and freedom of choice which are bad for us.
“I had no “combat action badge”… an award that did not exist until I got out of the military.”
Mike Prysner
The Combat Action Badge may be awarded to any soldier after the date of September 18, 2001 performing duties in an area where hostile fire pay or imminent danger pay is authorized, who is personally present and actively engaging or being engaged by the enemy, and performing satisfactorily in accordance with the prescribed rules of engagement.
He’s got a hard on for wearing every badge and ribbon in protest which leaves me to question why he doesn’t wear a CAB.
He plays the same tired commie race card bullshit that Stan Goff does,I’d bet the ranch that Stan had this boy for a very long re-education session.Stans as twisted as they get!
(just juse google translate moron…)
Mike prysner is really daring,he has the courage to tell the people, war mongrer that having m16 in hand and open up fire on unarmed civilian women, children is worse act of cowardice,he has the morality to confess that entering others house by force and occupying it with brutuality on the name of interest of own home is most ugly thing to do.where are wmd?bush and blair are sons of thousands guns, killing 1567854 iraqis, where is UNO? its end would be same as league of nations.world is looking towards american, like prysner.
I case people cannot remember obama ran on the campaign promise of bring the troops home but that never seems to be brought up?Being a patriot does not mean you have to take up arms against anyone the buffoons in the government tell you to.Learn to read more than what is stuffed down your throats from the mainstream media.Read about the founding fathers of our great land and things may become more clear. Also I remember Bush signing an order to bring the troops home before he left office. This war will not and does not keep America free and secure. We need to be fighting the enemies within our own government.

Damn, I must have been really drunk when I left my previous comments, I didn’t think I’d posted in this thread. Still, my comments made more sense than some of those posted since…
Baaah, communist, baaaah, baaah, communism, baaah, baaah, marxist, baaah baaah baaah.
Quality rebuttal. You’ve changed my life.
Meh, it’s probably Paul posting under another alias. Time for an IP check.
lol Sparky, you’re such a moron.

I CANT BELIEVE PEOPLE ARE STILL ASLEEP. WAKE UP!!! EVERYTHING THAT MAN SAID IS THE TRUTH. IF THE GULF DIDN’T TAKE YOUR BLINDERS OFF YOUR PRETTY MUCH BRAIN DEAD.
Another insightful and artfully stated counterpoint, undoubtedly composed in the throes of rocking out to Rage Against the Machine. You forgot to call us sheeple though, and pretend it’s clever.
I haven’t been able to find much proclaiming him an actual war hero. I think the Left thinks he’s a hero for speaking out against the war now, not for what he did during the war. And as for not reporting atrocities that doesn’t surprise me– the military keeps its own secrets, and that’s the way it’s always been. It would likely fall apart without that code. The communist link seems fuzzy at best, but I personally have never thought communism threatened The United States of America much– I think we’re much too strong for that. All these videos seem too slick for my taste, and that’s why I’m trying to figure out who this guy is.
How’s this for fuzzy?
This is beautiful, thank you for digging up his dd214. Someone threw one of his youtube videos at me in an attempt to try and “open” my eyes to the larger conspiracy. But alarm bells rang the instant he talked about all the terrible things he’d done while he was in. I instantly recalled all the debacles since we’d invaded. The mistreatment of the pow’s, all the collateral damage, and in all that, this guys name and face never came up. I also found it curious he never said “hey, this was my unit, this is when we were there” so anyone with half a brain cell could triangulate his location and colloborate it with his story.
Just another fuckstick looking for some glory at the ignorants expense.
Wasn’t the 10th Mountain in Samolia at one time?
Wanting to change USAmerica isn’t un-American.. it’s the other way around. The founding fathers set up a system to be equipped to change to meet the needs of the people.
The question here is “how is this war (and other military operations) meeting the needs of the majority of this country”? It sure is costing a lot, so what’s the ROI here compared to what that money could be doing for the people of the US were it to be spent stateside?
Except that the system that Micheal wants to promote has been historically repressive when it comes to general freedom. If anyone from the IVAW tried to do what they are doing now in Soviet Russia during ww2 they would have been killed. A reference is the order 227 commonly known as the “Not one step back order” by Stalin. THE SUPREME COMMAND OF THE RED ARMY ORDERS: 1. The military Councils of the fronts and first of all front commanders should: a) In all circumstances decisively eradicate retreat attitude in the troops and with an iron hand prevent propaganda that we can and should continue the retreat to the east, and this retreat will not be harmful to us; b) In all circumstances remove from offices and send to Stavka for court-martial those army commanders who allowed their troops to retreat at will, without authorization by the Front command; c) Form within each Front 1 to 3 (depending on the situation) penal battalions (800 personnel), where commanding, senior commanders and political officers of corresponding ranks from all services, who have broken discipline due to cowardice or instability, should be sent. These battalions should be put on the more difficult sections of a Front, thus giving them an opportunity to redeem their crimes against the Motherland by blood. 2. The Military Councils of armies and first of all army commanders should: a) In all circumstances remove from offices corps and army commanders and commissars, who have allowed their troops to retreat at will without authorization by the army command, and send them to the Military Councils of the Fronts for court-martial; b) Form 3 to 5 well-armed guards (barrage) units (zagradotryads), deploy them in the rear of unstable divisions and oblige them to execute panic-mongers and cowards at site in case of panic and chaotic retreat, thus giving faithful soldiers a chance to do their duty before the Motherland; c) Form 5 to 10 (depending on the situation) penal companies, where soldiers and NCOs, who have broken discipline due to cowardice or instability, should be sent. These units should be deployed… Read more »
@Sporkmaster
I doubt Mr. Prysner supports a Stalinesque version of socialism. There’s a VAAAAAAAAST empty void between things like universal health care and things like “order 227”
… plus your *attempted* point has no relevance to the question posed. (to be honest, it kind of came out of nowhere last time you posted it too)
Wow. Thats an AMAZING speech he gave. This is kind of crazy, but its actually made me understand the left anti-war position a lot better… Wow.
You mean the socialism is IVAW referring to that is totally different from this type?
Tell me which type when he has actively come out and said that the “heroes are the people on the other side”. You know that bravely and deliberately bomb civilian targets.
Or how many times we have heard this type of language by Russia, China, Cuba, and Korea to say the least?
It is the same thing that we have seen happen in the past only this time with a new label.
Re Prysner’s chosen end quote, attributed to James Madison: “If tyranny and oppression come to this land…”
Someone please demonstrate that Madison actually said this. I’ve seen it attributed to his writing in the Federalist Papers, which is false. Everywhere else it appears, it does so without sourcing. I’m beginning to think it’s one of those things that people love to say because it makes them sound well read, when they actually haven’t expended effort to see if it was something Madison ever said, and even if it was, they haven’t undertaken to find out the context.
Hey, uh, J Park, if Peysner doesn’t support “Stalinesque” socialism then what’s he doing standing there with a ‘Che’ sign? Che wasn’t Stalinist what with the prison camps and murders of political opponents?
Oops. I mistook Sporkmaster’s comment as an attempt at a response to mine… sorry. But even if Mr. Peysner’s vision of USAmerica included a strict adherence to the philosophies of Stalin (which it clearly does, since, as Sporkmaster points out, they conflict directly with the first point of Peysner’s own organization :\ ) if he believes that that is what is best for the USAmerican people, he has the right to push for that… that is part of democracy and he is exercising that not-so-uniquely-American right. (and please think about it a little before you respond with something like “see? He wants to get rid of the very rights which he is exercising”)
… and I still agree with his point that it’s tragic how much money has been diverted from OUR own public benefit, into the coffers of military corporations.
When did I or anyone here said that Mike should be prevents from speaking his mind? The point we are trying to make is that he is promoting a system that sounds better on paper then it does in reality with several examples. If he is trying to distance himself from these examples why is it that he is using a portrait of Che on a banner and using themes that are very similar to past Communist governments.
Also I would like to know which group we are talking about. The IVAW’s policy of prohibiting the calling for violence against US troops. (See video that calls the people that are killing US troops and civilians as heroes.) Or the group March Forward that he formed or the Socialist party that he is trying to run for Office under?
The current generation never experienced the Communist Threat and too many of the last generation were enamored with the Communist Utopia. Is it possible that the majority of Che T-Shirt wearers think he represents dope smokers? Surely, they are willfully ignorant that Che came from a rich family that paid for his medical education. Surely they are unware Che was a murderous thug that squandered his education for his lust for power? Surely they are unaware that he murdered thousands more with violence than he saved with a scapel? But Prysner? No, surely he does understand what Che was. Certainly a man that can write such an eloquent speech does so from his own lust for power. I won’t fault him for lack of a CAB, though I’m sure he’s trying to figure out how to get one. The CAB means nothing. It’s ugly and those that fight to get one are usually the ones that witnessed combat from a distance. One “V” device outweighs 10 CAB’s. (Didn’t see that in his records either.) I will fault him as a liar. I will fault him for self-promotion. And I will fault him for pretending to be all that he is not. And anyone that thinks socialism, communism, fascism, or islamism works is welcome to move to Venezuela, Cuba, North Korea, Syria, or Iran. You do have the right to say its better, but we refuse to idly accept your calls to a system that suppresses our right to tell you you are wrong. As to the record of civilian deaths: Saddam’s government murdered an average of 1000/month from 1979 onward to the end of his tyranny. Al-Qaeda, the Mehdi Militia, and Hezbollah murdered more Iraqi civilians each month during their heigth, but the totality of ‘collateral damage’ deaths (i.e. those killed accidently) by the US Military never came close. American Troops are no more responsible for the civilians murdered by our enemies than a Police Officer is responsible for not catching a serial killer before his final murder. PrettyboyPrysner is welcomed to emigrate to Pyongyang. No doubt Kim il Dong… Read more »
“it’s tragic how much money has been diverted from OUR own public benefit, into the coffers of military corporations.”
You **ARE** aware that defense spending currently accounts for less than 4 percent of GDP, do you not? Would you care to come back and tell me how much of your beloved “social justice” programs currently cost?
Communism obviously doesn’t work, if one actually looks at recent history. However, apparently our system isn’t entirely free from the flaws of the past either. Throughout history, labels like “savage”, “babarian”, “civilized”, “inferior”, and “superior” HAVE been used by those in power to motivate otherwise moral people to do unspeakable things. Two such cases are the way Hitler’s regime motivated the German people to commit atrocities against Jewish people, and how Puritan leaders, as well as the newly formed, at that time, American government, convinced colonists to commit horrible acts against the Natives and force them off land that had been theirs for centuries. These, and most other cases are in part due to the language(specific words with specific connotations) used by the prevailing powers at whatever time, but also in part due to the willingness of the people to listen to it. So, though it does seem from the reports of Prysner’s actual service, and his communist extremism, that he is not quite honest or necessarily fit to listen to, he makes an important point about what has been going on the past 60 years in America. We, the people of this country, time and again, have rushed out into the world to attack some country that our government said was bad for some reason or another, usually using half lies as their reasons. It may have been excusable for people to be ignorant to the state of the world 30 years ago, and I stress may, but this is no longer the case. We have access to a world full of information and viewpoints from which to base our decisions and opinions as to whether or not we will let our government wage war, and yet, in 2002 we allowed our military to invade Iraq, which was run by a fascist dictator to be sure, on grounds that he was supporting terrorism and hiding weapons of mass distruction that could be obtained by said terrorists. These were outright lies. We never punished those responsible because we justified the venture by removing Saddam from power, which “made Iraq a… Read more »
Here is a young man, speaking out against atrocities which we still take for granted and most of you are so brainwashed, you cannot recognize truth when you meet it. So the words “socialism” and “communism” still frighten you more than the idea of killing our fellow human beings? Sad. War has always been a scam. Time to listen to what the prophets were trying to teach us when they said “Love your enemies” and “Thou shall not kill”. When are we going to take a hint, people??????
I guess he’s like those former Moslems who go on talk shows to rail against Islam and new mosques. The conservatives LOVE them cuz they have street cred, and it makes them seem less bigoted.
Well, Susan–may I call you Susan, or would you prefer pathetically delusioned? I fail to see how we are “brainwashed”, considering many of us here are in fact combat veterans, some of whom are still serving, if you must know.
Ya see, Susan, it’s not so much that we don’t like the words “communism” and “socialism” per se, it’s the concepts BEHIND those words that many of us have spent a lifetime in and out of uniform to prevent the spread of those concepts and policies to our lives and that of our nation. Many of us have had first-hand experience dealing with those who would foist those systems upon us. Many of us have read our history and understand all too well the death and destruction which will inevitably result from the attempts to implement such “change” in our lives.
Or did you conveniently overlook the other 100 million who have died in the past century at other such failed (or successful, depending upon your viewpoint) attempts at formenting international socialism in such places as China, Eastern Europe, the former Soviet Union, North Korea, and a few other garden spots of planet Earth?
Perhaps a little context is in order, Susan–that “thou shalt not kill” doesn’t mean that we don’t kill, period. It means we do not MURDER. The concept of justified warfare has many, many examples not only in history but in the Bible as well. And scam? Really, Susan? Is there nothing for which you will put YOUR life on the line, or would you prefer your betters do the heavy lifting for you?
And hello–goodbye. You’re a fucking douchenozzle who only deserves a throat punch.
Hey, Sparky… name-calling is a dead giveaway that you realize (on some level) that you are acting as you have been programmed to do. Again, it appears you cannot see the truth when it tries to save your life!
My sympathies for your traumatic experiences but suggesting I “deserve a throat punch” makes you sound like a bully and an idiot! Let’s stick to the facts. What is it in your mind that distinguishes “murder” from “killing”? As Gandhi so eloquently put it (and I agree 100%) “There are many causes for which I am willing to die, but none for which I am willing to kill.” That is the ONLY path to a civilized and decent world.
Currently your society is failing in so many respects. The very rich are doing great and the rest of us are either wage slaves or completely poverty-stricken. Corruption is rampant in our governments, our businesses and even our “health care” organizations, etc. Could it be that our system is failing us because it is based on taking advantage of each other rather than on caring for one another?
Another glaring example is how we treat animals. We assume our own superiority and “own” billions of innocent sentient beings whom we torture and kill for our pleasure. Meanwhile, this makes us very sick AND wastes tremendous resources we could be using to feed the world. Millions die every year of starvation! Do you care?
The “concept of justified warfare” is propaganda just like the meat and dairy industries hypnotizing us to believe we need their poison to be healthy!
Best wishes to you and yours.
Ah, Ms. “Holier Than Thou” speaks! All bow down to the hypocritical blatherings! BTW–not a real good idea to call out people for namecalling when you come in here flinging shit right off the bad–just sayin. (Hint: calling people brainwashed IS in fact namecalling, fyi.)
As far as “my traumatic experiences” go, well, you weren’t there, you don’t know, and frankly, the worst I ever had to endure in my time on the boats was dealing with tender pukes and the Shellback Initiation.
Finally, my final comment was directed at the poster below you, hello. You know, RIF–reading is fundamental. Unless, of course, you WANT a throat punch.
And one has to be willing to kill and/or die for their beliefs. If you’re only willing to die, I’m sure the Islamists will be more than happy to accomodate you. Me, I’m one of those, “Better to die on one’s feet than live on one’s knees” kinda guy.
But to quote Colonel Jessup, “I would rather you just said thank you, and went on your way, Otherwise, I suggest you pick up a weapon, and stand a post. Either way, I don’t give a damn what you think you are entitled to.” Frankly, your naivete is, to put it mildly, dangerous in the extreme.
Ms. HTH, Gandhi also said: “It is better to be violent, if there is violence in our hearts, than to put on the cloak of nonviolence to cover impotence.” Just be honest, say you hate America, men and everyone who’s successful, well-adjusted or just braver than you. Gandhi wouldn’t like you using him so you can whine either.
