Weekend Open Thread

The left is all over a statement that President Donald Trump made, claiming that 300 million people died last year as a result of lethal drugs. “Dementia” is one of the labels being thrown around. However, context matters. Where the left portrays a man sitting in the Oval Office while making the statement, Trump was actually answering questions during an impromptu press interaction while he was getting ready to board a flight. Given what is going on in the president’s mind as he goes about his day, this kind of slip-up is bound to happen. This is not comparable to having minimal work, not quite being there, and making statements out of the blue. Enjoy your weekend.
