I’d agree. It also looks like it was something of a technical challenge what with one light source on the horizon, and another to the left of the camera throwing the tree shadow. My guess is that it used high dynamic range without being in your face about it. Something that’s often tricky to do.
First!!!!
On my way to fort bliss again holy cow
Wish someone I knew would stop forgetting stuff
How the hell did you guys get all those posts on while i was posting mine?
Blame your ISP for choking down your stream.
There IS a semi-hidden story in yer comment that may well apply to the DRC? “choking down your stream.”
In Miami for 4-day weekend. Only 600 miles from Benning.
Managed to stay ahead of that Hermione weather thingy. Bet my home gonna be flooded when we get back.
No matter. All my toys are on the second floor.
Villages of Benning sucks, by the way.
We weren’t that lucky here on Pompano Street in New Port Richey. Pool overfilled, canal out back came up around four feet, lacked only one from getting into the house. Raining HARD today, off and on. Leaving tomorrow morning, hoping rain will let up long enough to pack up van. Street out front filled to the point we started looking into attic if need be, in spite of a few tiles being blown off and leaks here & there. We were blessed with a dry floor throughout the night. Others in this immediate area had 3-4 feet of water in their homes, not to mention trees on cars and houses. Our biggest worry was slow steady drip from light over dining room table. Left probably four inches of water in
Just now all cell phones ringing with flood alert through 7:00 p m. Dammit, I need my tank again!
Our biggest confusing event through all this….some goofy looking M F next door mowing his TOTALLY SATURATED yard between rain squalls. Wearing one of those Bullwinkle and Rocky hats with large flaps over the ears. Gotta be POSER material with OCD deserving of some kind of V A treatment. Just HAD to get a picture of this cat! If anybody’s curious to know what this character looks like, let me know and we’ll send a picture early tomorrow when we get home. Rocky the Flying Squirrel worrying about yard with flood warnings popping up on the cell phones. Methinks maybe Thomas Register is in need of either dog food or MD 20/20.
The four inches of water is in the kitchen trash can. End of sentence.
Benning sucks in general.
There are MUCH worse US Army installations than Benning, ever been to Ft. Polk?
Oh yeah. I have done JRTC 4 times already, and the OCs always tell me doing a month long rotation ain’t shit compared with being stationed there.
Fort Polk LA is the one Army Installation I have NEVER heard anyone say anything nice about whether they were there temporarily or Permanent Party.
Ft Irwin is hands down the winner
Another good entry.
Hot as balls and everything is not quite in walking distance.
But Vegas is 45 min out the back gate if you haul ass…..
Good point.
I was through there on a few training rotations back in the late 90’s.
It was less-than-stellar.
Wal-Mart, liquor store, strip joint, dollar store and a McDonald’s.
ahem…..some of us have jobs.
Bwahahahaha….yeah, I almost typed that without laughing.
Some of us have errands to run.
Well, Daniel Bernath does not have that problem.
This just in…
Not only is Daniel Bernath is STILL a Non CPO, he is still shitbird who is too stupid to look a fuel gauge, and he is also still a disbarred lawyer in the state of California. Look here for details.
http://members.calbar.ca.gov/courtDocs/13-O-14986-3.pdf
Not retired, disbarred. That means that his ability to represent someone in a court of law was stripped from him by the state BAR.
This is unlikely to change any time in the near to long term future, and those that might have been unaware of his inability to form a coherent sentence are safe from his “legal experience”.
Rustle, rustle asshole. watch out for coconuts in your yard.
Nice link. But I prefer this one – especially the line giving “Current Status”.

No Way!!! Say it IS so Joe!!!
Yo Ho, it’s so, Joe.
Disbarred lawyer Daniel A. Bernath. Has a nice ring to it.
Disbarred, Disgraced, Disleveled. Discombulated, Dishonest….
You forgot Disgusting.
And Deadbeat… as in Deadbeat Dad
Sucks for you, Danny-boi.
Sucks. For. You.
BERNATH, WITTLESS DALLAS and CRYER are beyond the words of HARASSING ASSHOLES! Honestly, I don’t understand how the hell they get away with the libelous lies they put on blogs and YOU TUBE.
I pray to BUDDHA and GOD every morning and evening that any law enforcement agency puts a arrestable end to their bullshit.
I haven’t been harassed, libeled or slandered as much as our friends have and I’m already sick of the crap. Bernbitch has yet to win a case because JUDGES aren’t stupid and know the law, unlike him. Bernbitch put all assets under his wife Martha and the only child, (Nicole) who would dare admit he’s related, unless she’s mentally challenged and has no clue. WITTLESS threatens he COMETH, yet still hasn’t, BERNBITCH says you’ll be served, but I haven’t, and CRYER is just a loud mouth. All three are big talkers with big threats behind the screen of a computer, but are pussies (like Bernbitch) if confronted.
I love the way they “cry like babies to the PO PO” if anyone even says “I’m coming to kick your ass”. Wittless wrote “if any fucker comes to my house I’ll blow their heads off”. You have a gun after being diagnosed with PTSD? Does your shrink at the VA know this? Does he know about the threats, blogs and other illegal crap that spews out of whatever brain you have?
I’m on a plane to Florida, where my job relocated me to. I know your reading this DALLAS WITTLESS and BERNBITCH. WHEN we legally meet, I’ll be the man/woman that smiles, legally wears my gun on my thigh and ID around my neck. YES, LEGALLY MEET…???
Hey Reb, it’s rumored that Daniel A. Bernath was gracefully DISOWNED by his own Daughter, let’s not forget that the plane he wrecked was bought and registered in her name. That “Special Day Guide” website he used to spew his slander and libel on (shut down) was rumored to have been meant for her to use for a Wedding Photography business, but it’s obvious that Daniel A. Bernath the Fred Phelps clone can’t stand to see anyone legitimately succeed at anything, even his own Daughter when he used that website for spewing his bullshit. Let’s not forget that Bernath once had his Law License suspended for failure to pay child support.

James Walls aka The Cocksucker, is still working balls over at the UH-1 Huey Helicopter Facebook Page.
Clark Schreiber obviously never completed his 250 mile hump for charity possibly due to his newfound hobby of sucking cock behind dumpsters in Chico, California.
Fuck you Daniel Bernath.

That how his ass got that fat.
It was eating to many cocks.

Thomas Reister has been bullying Women, “Lawering up”, sockpuppeting here in all caps, I wonder if he’s been initiated into The Dutch Rudder Gang yet? IDGAF either way, but I’m sure he’s behind bus stops working the same ballsacks that Bernath does if he isn’t scraping lead paint chips to garnish their Dutch Rudder Cocktails with!
#15? Look! Finally in the top twenty!
Sitting here wondering how Gary “The Turdman” Erdmann’s week is going. You remember him, right? He of the 11 awards of the Combat Action Ribbon. Wonder if he will have a job to go to come the Tuesday after Labor Day.
Did a little research on the One who shall not be named. Was trying to figure out why he doesn’t like to be called out by his name.
Well, according to the 1989 Oxnard High School Yearbook, he who shall not be named didn’t go by his first name in high school. In fact, he is not captioned by his first name under his senior picture. He went by the first name of Nick back in those days.
So I’m sure he was repeatedly called Nick The Dick, a name which he has valiantly carried forward to this day by his actions, ideals, and language.
So, in that vein, I will do a Adrian Cronauer quote and say that Nick is more direr in need of a blow job than any white man in history.
Badeep, Badeep, That’s All Folks.
Kindly keep me updated Claw, he’s in my AO. The fun continues!
Which one? Turdman or Nick The Dick?
Gary the turd. Been curious about his employment status myself!
I want to see if the Cape May Sheriff’s office has any balls.
Word.
They have plenty they work.
Yea, Gary Erdmann the Turdmann
Haven’t heard a peep about him. Guess he and the Sheriff are butt buddies or something.
Here. Dunno what number. Just happy to be here with the rest of the hellions.
Making quickie bean soup for supper. Quickie means canned beans instead of dry. Already hydrated, quicker to cook. Takes a half hour instead of a day.
Bean soup, cheesy cornbread, might grill some zucchini slices with Asiago. Add olives, radishes, and for afters, cheesecake with chocolate sauce.
Good food.
Marinating some yard bird in soy sauce and sesame oil with garlic and a slice of ginger. Chicken stir-fry is on tap tonight, served over jasmine rice infused with ginger and lemon zest.
Wok this way!
Yeah!!!
Simmered some ham bones today, let it cool to room temperature and now in fridge. Scoop off fat tomorrow and then cook Navy beans. Make this concoction at least weekly, using different bean types.
I’m very disappointed with my cornbread. Used to be proud of it, but ‘something’ went wrong. Tried many brands of flour/cornmeal. Switched recently to boxed brands and they are much better. Going to try from scratch tomorrow.
Try getting new baking powder or replacing baking soda. Baking powder tends to go stale after a while. Baking powder doesn’t go stale but it absorbs moisture if it isn’t used up quickly.
Damn, that stuff is probably two years old. Both of them. Which goes stale and which absorbs?
Thanks
Bacon, Spinach and Cream Potatoes
3 pounds Idaho potatoes, peeled and sliced
Salt
Extra-virgin olive oil
4 strips center cut bacon, chopped
1 medium onion, quartered and thinly sliced
1 cup cream
2 boxes frozen chopped spinach, defrosted and wrung out in a kitchen towel
Salt and pepper
1/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg, eyeball it
Got the ingredients, now what? Fry up the onion and bacon, layer the potato slices with the spinach/onion/bacon in a casserole dish, season, add cream, cover and bake?
Hey Ex-PH2, when are we gonna get to read another one of your Astrological forecasts?
Hey Ex, a pal sent me this link and I thought you’d be interested.
http://www.mnn.com/your-home/organic-farming-gardening/stories/7-things-you-never-knew-about-dragonflies
Thank you!! I love the dragons! The way they can change direction of flight would make a human pilot black out.
The one thing I did not know about was the way their color vision is constructed. I know that cats can see in the ultraviolet spectrum, as can other insects, but the dragons can probably see dark matter and quarks, too.
My grandma told me that if you tell lies, dragonflies will sew your mouth shut.
Scared the hell out of me, I was 4.
Maybe I need a service dog…
Go to a shelter and adopt a homeless pooch. And go to dog school. You need the training.
Adopted a Golden doodle a couple years back. He’s not the brightest bulb in the box but he’s loyal. And we’re in school for the next few Saturdays. I’m much better on a leash now.
Haha! Does he have you doing ‘sit’, ‘down’ and ‘stay’ without verbal commands?
Oh, and are you ready for the agility course? I hear that’s a blast from the past!
Had hand warts as a kid, about 8 y/o. Grandma made me bury a dishrag under a rock, then walk away and not look back. I looked back. They went away about 5 years later.
Service dragonflies, why not? Calling Thomas Reister, where are you?
Up to six years underwater? I didn’t have a clue.
I am ready for some College Football!!!
And in other news, Phil Monkress (CEO of All-Points Logistics) works balls.
This ?????? ????
?????
Season already started. Tenn and App State squared off yesterday.
Tenn won. In OT.
I watched it.
A lot of folks had UT as a potential contender this year.
I imagine a few folks are re-looking that one.
Looking forward to the Ole Miss-FSU game.
Should be a good one.
Good game down to the wire. I’m SEC fan. Love me some Bama ball. Also like Auburn except when playing Bama or certain others. Much prefer NCAA vs NFL.
Little Phil never once gave it away. He paid everyone else so he could play.
Okay all of you TAH’ers, have you all been on Youtube lately and seen this shit?

Must have way too much time on his hands since he is no longer allowed to practise law.
Isn’t this crap akin to stalking?
I contacted youtube about this, but haven’t received any reply yet.
Bernath is one crazy sick muther-fucker!
I don’t have any coconuts to mail him, but I do have tons of black walnuts to airdrop on his AO.
Good luck reporting that stuff. I’ve done it like a hundred times. YouTube protects criminals.
Jonn did you get those pics I sent from NM ?????
I too contacted YOU TUBE and other agencies. Libelous bullshit is against the law. There is a attorney, in good standing or a new law enforcement rookie who wants to make a name for himself who responds to at least one of the 100’s email I have sent.
Relocating to the DEVILS DEN, was a great career choice and the money is to good to pass up…hello BERNBITCH AND WITTLESS PURPLEHEART PUSSY…

Would have been one hundred thirty sixthish, but I had to take my morning Bernath.

Has anyone ever studied the correlation between Airborne and woodworking? I too have “taken that one big step”, (41 times), and have a building known to me as “The Sawdust Factory”. Having done business as “Goodwood by Frankie”, for years.
Dunno, but my Airborne son does a mighty fine job of building his wife some furniture – with home-made stained-glass windows on the china cabinet.
Wonder if we can get a gubbmint grant to study this? How many cases of Shiner will we need for the study?

We had a case of horse theft at our county fairgrounds sometime between Wednesday night and Thursday morning. Someone cut the lock off the 4 H horse barn and made off with one of the kids horses. The county sheriff and several deputies responded. The sheriff was going on and on about how horse theft was still a hanging offense as the law has not changed since 1870 something. He was in a good mood with the idea that he might get to actually hang one or more of our local lowlifes. By late afternoon the horse had been located and returned to the young lady. No word on when the hanging will happen.
If it does happen, make sure we get pictures.
There’s still cattle rustling going on down in Texas in some places.
The problem is we get some city judge who doesn’t realize what a monetary impact a “little rustlin'” has on a rancher’s income, and lets the jerk off with a month or two in jail.
I like the idea of a good, ol’ fashioned necktie party.
Rustlers in Wyoming don’t make it to trial. Lots and lots of open spaces that haven’t been explored since the territory entered statehood. Might be a few bones left out there to bleach in the sun that weren’t dragged off by wolves, coyotes or bears.
Had a good buddy there that I drank coffee with every morning for eight years. He was the Brand Inspector (for 40 years) for the four northwest counties of the state and had practically a new or old story about rustlers to tell every morning.
When I let him know that we were moving out of state, he said “Well Hell, I’m not even halfway through telling you russlin stories from the old days. You need to stick around for the Paul Harvey version of the rest of the story. ”
Interpret that as you will. It’s simply real life in between the Big Horns and the Rockies.
Shoot, shovel, and shuttup. The unspoken law in Wyoming.
I’ve heard that referred to as “The Three S’s”, and I’ve heard it’s practiced among folks in the boonies when it comes to varmints, two or four-legged.
If I have to move….
Update on the Horse Thief: There will NOT be a hangn’ in Ferry county. Turns out there was no theft from the fair. Seems that the locks were not correctly applied and the horse in question wandered off on its own. It walked down the road and found a pasture and munched its fill. The deputies solved the caper quickly, but the sheriff is nearly inconsolable that we still can’t hang the rustler. I guess he will have to console himself with busting the Meth and heroin dealers that infested our rural community. Perhaps we can lynch a few of them as a warning to others. Long prison terms and asset forfeiture doesn’t seem to dissuade them.
Aren’t there chores those useless twits can perform as a public service? Something appropriate such as cleaning out ditches, spreading gravel on roads that need it, filling sandbags against flooding possibilities, or just plain tidying up the streets.
I had a horse a long time ago that would let himself out of the fenced paddock, shut the gate behind him, and go for a stroll through the neighborhood. He’d also let himself back in. I got a call about him one night and got over to the barn just as he was opening the gate to go back in. Clever fellow.
A lot of animals are smarter than we give them credit for, horses being one example.
My neighbor has a horse like that. I found that out one day when I walked out the front door and was face to face with it. I almost needed new drawers because my first thought was that it was the mamma moose that frequents my yard.
Neighbor’s horse Bunny would occasionally play Houdini and come over for a visit. I’d find her sniffing noses with our nag at morning feed time, happy as a clam. I’d just throw a lead line over her neck and walk her home.
Hey, three day weekend for mst of us – if you have to work this weekend, sorry.
Want to give a shout out to all of TAH’s sockpuppets for “servicing” the bullshitters that are caught doing to Stolen Valor thing.
I still miss Elaine Ricci and can’t get over her and Macho Grande.
Danni-boi is working triple OT this weekend at the Exxon gas station in his AO and offering free reach arounds to the first 100 customers every day. And, for an extra $0.05, QuEeFeRs will queef “Mary Had A Little Lamb” for you as entertainment.
Jimmy Walls is still having a problem with his “Left Nut Low”.
Jerry Forster is still showing his buddies his disappearing cock trick.
And a special shout out to Wallace Grey Rather, the disgrace of the Hospital Corps and CPO communities. Here’s hoping that he finds himself back in front of a judge real soon.
Now that Daniel Bernath has plenty of free time, he is keeping busy checking bums for hernias down at the homeless shelter.
And throws in a handjob if they ever watched Law and Order.
Just a bunch of ball-working dudes.
I can only imagine they will be getting their collective “Phildo” on this weekend.
Speaking of shitbags, I wonder what the False Commander “Phony” Phil Monkress (CEO of All-Points Logistics) is doing over the Labor Day weekend?
Probably getting a much needed rest.

Whilst the rest of you all may be eagerly anticipating the season of the pigskin, there are some of us (me, at least) who are extremely happy to be able to say that the magic number for the Chicago Cubs to clinch the NL Central Division is, at this moment, 14.
That’s right … any combination of Cubs wins and losses by that bunch of guys in St. Louis that adds up to 14 gives the Cubbies the division. And, please God, let this be the year that we go to – and win – the World Series!
Football … pfui!
Yes Sir. I’ll take that three hit, complete game, 2-1 victory that Lester put up today every day and twice on Sunday.
Hey, Hey, Wadda Ya Say !! Let’s play two.
I was at the 13-inning game Monday night … having flown 1000 miles just to see the game, there was no way I was leaving before the last out (or, in this case, the last run). I didn’t think my emotions could swing that far as often as they did watching the Pirates take the lead, then the Cubs catch up, and again, and again.
I freaking LOVE Wrigley Field!
Hey, Chicago, whaddaya say?
The Cubs are gonna win today!
You were in Wrigleyville and you didn’t call?
I humbly ask forgiveness, Ex … giddy about the game, and all that sort of rot.
Okay, well, it appears that Lester is having a good seasons and while the Cubbies are not in the basement this year, they still have the playoffs to go.
http://www.csnchicago.com/chicago-cubs/another-win-jon-lester-shifts-cruise-control-cubs-enter-stretch-run
Cubs win! Cubs win! Cubs win!
THIS is the year we Cubs fans were always talking about.
Yes! I used to live about a mile north of Wrigley Field. Walked down there one spring day, bought a ticket at the box office and sat to the right of home plate. Hardly anybody there. That was some time between 1983 and 1987. Beautiful day, and no one was paying any attention to the Cubs back then.
Anything for the Cubbies!
I was a White Sox fan (I stopped watching after the strike) and the last MLB game I watched was a Cubs game. My brother-in-law knew someone who let us use their season pass (one of those that get passed down from family member to family member). We sat front row behind home plate. It was a great experience.
OK, if this is the year for the Cubs and they win it all, how much of Chicago goes up in smoke after the World Series?
Maddon and his team are in control of their fate… I’ve watched them on MLB Network a few times this year and they look scary good all around (at the plate, pitching and defense) and they have Chapman out of the bullpen (a good move at the trade deadline) who can slam the door shut on any team.
If the Cubbies win it all, it’s just another sign of the apocalypse…
Most importantly, did they walk the goat around the bases yet?
The goat is dead.
Maybe a new goat? It can’t hurt. I’m tired of my Cubs fans family members telling me “this is the year” year after year and then comes the wailing and gnashing of teeth.
The Cubs pulled off another win in extra innings… 6-1 homestand! Got five inning from Lackey, then the bullpen picked it up, with Chapman going two innings to help out. Heywood drove all three runs in during the game.
I’d hate to be managing against them right now.
Agreed, Senior Chief. Against the crew Joe Maddon has at his disposal, you fill out your best lineup card … and then, you pray. Hard.
I just returned from PA and passed through a place called Quarryville. On the main drag, on each side, are banners that are maybe 3′ X 2′ that are affixed to poles. Each one is a picture of a Fallen serviceman from the area, with identifying information, including the war or conflict in which he fell. There are far too many for that little place. It’s the best community remembrance I have ever seen.
When I think of “small town America” in flyover country, Quarryville seems fit that mental picture I have.
It’s home to Jellystone RV Park! Watch out for Yogi and BooBoo and keep an eye on your pickinck baskets!

I am a CHOIR BOY compared to you guys, a CHOIR BOY! I’m a girly man, that’s why I’m voting for Hilary.
I thought you were “balls deep for Bernie”?
91rd!
Sorry I have not been around, the DCR’s had me fired from my job, I had to sell my house, car, harley and Elvis commemorative plate collection and I have lost most hope.
But, I am still running the high side of the TAH computer network and have access to the MIT Design and Engineering system.
So for this weekend, route all info through:
BRAVO SIERRA switch # 1!
And stop sending jpgs. We only can read gifs!
Out!
Thought maybe you were hiding in the MCPO bunker or off at the Sterling Renaissance Faire.
Popcorn is the best snack EVER!
In case I forgot,
Go fuck yourself Daniel Bernath.
Speaking of popcorn, I would urge all TAH subscribers, regulars and command and line staff personnel … BUY PLENTY OF FRESH POPCORN.
Youse gonna’ need it!
Who’s gonna be wearing handcuffs? A multi-gazillion dollar lawsuit? Long term stay in the poundthemintheass prison with TBJT?
Gonna go get me some ‘corn!!!

Have you ever had that sinking feeling in the pit of your stomach as your airplane lifts off the runway that you don’t have enough fuel to reach your destination? Me neither.
Or you ask yourself if that 99 cent iPad app is really accurate, or did you bring enough duct tape for the dog?
Have I mentioned that I’m not a big fan of HR types?
DAB is not, never was, nor will he ever be a Genuine or Honorary CPO. PERIOD!
Nor is he a genuine or honorable man.
What a loser.
Be he can work balls with the best! It’s the only job he’s fit to do now!
Looks like a clear and beautiful day in my kingdom. Fine weather for Autumn cleaning and tossing out stuff not needed, worn out, or just plain ‘why did I buy that?’ dumb.

The VA plans on clearing a forest that predates the settlement of Indiana.
https://indianaforestalliance.org/crown-hill/
That’s pathetic. There are other sites, but the VA wants to have its own way, regardless of the actual environmental impact.
I live in a county that thrives on its forest preserves, does whatever it can to acquire unused acreage to expand the forest preserve’s trails and ecosystem restoration projects. And that includes repurposing Ft. Sheridan into a nature preserve where hawks nest.
And yes, we also have trees that are 500 years old.
That article pains me.
It pains me too. I’m from Indiana and I’ve been in that woods. On a side note, Crown Hill Cemetery has some notable people buried there. Benjamin Harrison, 3 vice Presidents, 9 Indiana Governors, 10 Civil War Union Generals, 1,600 Confederate Soldiers, John Dillinger, and Robert Irsay. I did a tour of it a couple of years ago and was surprised that President Benjamin Harrison had such a small headstone and was in a nondescript location.
We take road trips and usually go scenic routes, off interstate. If it takes three days to travel a few hundred miles, that’s a good thing. Look out for old abandoned homes and cemeteries back off the country road. I’ve stumbled on both that I am convinced no other has visited in decades. In one cemetery the last recorded burial, via inscription, was 1911. About 40 headstones. In another the last burials were two obviously KIA in WW2. Had an old house adjacent to cemetery, not lived in for many years. Wonder what happened to those who once lived there? Wonder if the community dissolved after those war deaths?
It used to be pretty common for extended families with large enough properties to have family plots.
Pretty sure that practice was stopped by Government regulations.
For Ex-PH2 and others – the first instruments on fly-by of Jupiter done by Juno happened this week, and the initial Juno Cam photos are awesome! Also included are the first photos of the auroras at the south pole of Jupiter taken in IR wavelengths.

Wow. That, and the 2015 SETI signal from HD164595 coming from 94 light years away, are just keeping me hopping!

We need to get the tourney rolling.
We have several that could make deep runs….
We had to edit Mr Reister.
The dog group making shit up to cover for one of their “clients”… where have we heard that line before???
It has been three months (today) since the TAH West summit was held. Again, I wish to thank those (sj and Mrs. sj and 3/17 Air Cav) who gathered here at Claw Manor for their camaraderie and making the journey from far flung points to bring a few days of joy to an old soldier.
In the three months since June 3rd, there have been 54 posers/embellishers featured here on TAH. That averages 4.5 new LSOS’s per week and goes to show that there is a tough row to hoe ahead until all the phonies wise up and just stop lying.
The Claw Manor is getting closer to returning to the stately appearance it held before the shit storm struck. All the sheetrock work is done, all the new flooring has been put down, new toilets have been installed, and the new carpeting for all five bedrooms should be completed by the end of next week and then once all the furnishings have been returned to their appropriate settings, Mrs. Claw will once again be a happy camper. I will issue a final report when the Claw Motel 6 is once again available for occupancy by guests.
The days are getting shorter. The light wood trees are starting to change to their fall colors and the overnight lows are getting closer to going below 40 degrees. Only three weeks left in the summer, but Fall is a nice time of year to look forward to.
That’s all for now, except that neither high school football team from Pulaski County, Indiana has yet to claim a victory for this season. (Nudge, Nudge, Wink, Wink for Twist)
Damn.
Good to see things are coming along at Claw manor, at our Tucson house all the work done earlier this year has paid off finally, around the 8th of August give or take, we had a monsoon storm that dumped 3ins of rain in about 2 and a 1/2 hours. major flooding in our neighborhood but thanks to new drainage in the yard it missed us with just a little bit of damage in the front yard. temps are still above 100 with nighttime temps way above average in the 70s and the New Mexico cabin or house we showed up this week and the rain seems to have disappeared we hope it returns because we need the rain here, at our house The elevation is 8,859,3 feet above sea level so the temps have been in the 58-68 daytime highs with nighttime lows in the 41-46 range since we have been back south of us at benson peak and sunspot fall is starting with the aspens they have already had low temps at 36 and sleet. Also a police officer on the force here for about 4 years and a combat veteran with a GF and a 6 yearold daughter was shoot and killed yesterday by a POS drug thug in Alamogordo, Nm the POS was killed bye return gunfire by the other officers on the scene. The POS. May have been a early release from a DOJ facility, the this community is in mourning
????????
Also attended a great even in las cruces, this past week for a vet and his family it was awesome
Glad to here that the Manor is getting back to being stately again. Sure that Scooby appreciates it too. Being a new bride, Mrs SJ was apprehensive about being accepted in a vet community. That lasted for about 05 seconds after our arrival. The Claws and 3/17 welcomed us lavishly. Particularly great to finally meet in person gents that I had followed here on TAH for years. I was not disappointed.
I actually may be headed that way next week.
Will know later this week.
The week of 11-17 Sep? We may/hopefully be ready for guest occupancy by that time.
Will be standing by for the word.
Roger.
I will/you can holler an Jonn and provide emails or numbers both ways.
It would be the 12th or 13th, if it happens.
Drinking beer and calling posers…..
Man, that gets me going!!!
Okay. Standing by.
Scooby’s eyes lit up when I told him he may have a house guest to give him extra noogies.
Interesting discovery today. I was replacing one of my cell phones that shit the bed at Verizon and in order to verify my account the guy asked for my ID.
I generally just give him my DL, but it just so happened my Military Retired ID was the easiest to get to.
Upon seeing it the guy asked if I had a VA card.
Long story short, Verizon gives a 15% monthly discount for Vets ( I dont know if it was for Disabled… didnt ask)
Its easy to see why posers would want to fake serving. A lot of companies offer discounts, It can add up.
Just……..I looked it up, if your a veteran, you get 15% of monthly just use your DD214!
ATT and T Moble also do it, and lowes and Home Depot the n fact a year ago I had a store manager at lowes ask me if I was a vet after seeing my blue card and I said yes and he added that to a my lowes account for a automatic 10% every time I shop there. He said a lot of twekers or meth heads are always try to scam for a discount with fake IDs
We still have two days left in this long holiday weekend.
I am being vicious with tossing out junk I don’t need.
I’ve been looking for companies that sell useful stuff directly to people, so here’s a start.
Smucker’s, in Orrville, OH, has an online store.
https://onlinestore.smucker.com/
Mrs. Dash sells direct to customers.
http://www.mrsdash.com/buy-online
North Bay Trading sells dry beans, dehydrated and freeze-dried stuff directly to customers. They’re in Wisconsin.
https://www.northbaytrading.com/
That’s just a few.
And All-Points Logistics sells bullshit.
http://www.allpointsllc.com/
Lots of it…..
The National Mustard Museum in Middleton, WI not only archives mustards from everywhere. They also sell it, and other goodies.
http://store.mustardmuseum.com/
And Apple Holler in Sturtevant, WI, has an online store that offers a lot of orchard products.
https://www.appleholler.com/store/
Yes, their pies are wonderful, but those are pickup only.
Since I’m not smart enough to know how to do links on the computer, but you say you’re always cooking up beans and such and looking for companies that sell useful stuff to people, Chugwater Chili.com should be included on your list.
Check them out. Best western style chili fixins ever.
Thank you. I just open the website, wait until the URL settles down in the bar at the top, and copy that and then paste it in here. Saves a lot of time.
Hey Ex-PH2, done any more of your Astrology forecasts lately?
There’s an interesting take on the near future in financial markets by someone with a high degree of accuracy.
I’ll post it later.
I just got a new job!
UPS route from Hoboken through and around Sayerville.
Good paying job.
Oh and I just bought a mint condition Yugo with a RevTech and a kickin’ set of spinners.
Out!

“Oh and I just bought a mint condition Yugo with a RevTech and a kickin’ set of spinners.”
I bet it ain’t ‘nuthin compared to the ’73 Pinto I got from my Uncle Billy-Bob! Just gotta get rid of the rust on the mag wheels…
I’ll sell you a old pickup if it would help you get out of the Yugo
Just sayin
????
But you had a new ride that Benasty bought you last year or so. What happened to it?
BTW, have a friend visiting this week what was a submariner. No way in hell would I do what he did (and no, he’s not bragging, just matter of factly answering questions – his standard answer to my amazement is that he was just a crew member.

Next year, there is going to be a full solar eclipse that will be best viewed all over the USA.
Get the correct solar glasses to protect your eyes if you intend to look at the sun, or make a much safer camera obscura with a cardboard box. One hole in one side to let the sun’s image shine through it, and a light colored surface on the opposite side of the box.
More on this later.
August 21, 2017 is the day. Here is one of many links to the event:

Just blew a front left tire on my brand new 2017 UPS van, stuck on NJTP @ 13. All the new guys have to work holiday weekends. I will be here for a while, won’t get home to Old Bridge by 0200 tomorrow.
Life is good!
PS: for those uploading, use code BRAVO FOXTROT.
Out!
I thought that since you are the FNG at UPS, you’d get the ’96 van with the broken AC and heat…
Copy BRAVO FOXTROT
And the route on the “North 40”.
But I guess the NJTP is a close second.
Hope the job gets better.
When I have down time, I call in and check on Phil Monkress and others.
It passes the time.
Be safe.
Oh, trust me, for those who know me, my new job is just fine!
It is exactly like my last, but much better!
