That is to say the Ron Paul Truthers. The ones who suspect that the Twitter page of one “Ron Paul” is not done by “Ron Paul.”

That is really odd.
The ‘lives by the sword dies by the sword’ seems very un-Ron-ish, under the circumstances, but the frustration at taking a guy with PTSD to a firing range could be a doctor thing.
I’m thinking not.
He seems to have some people who insert leftist cultural stuff into his things (read the immigration chapter in Liberty Defined, and I am not talking about the policy position, but they ‘they have a better work standard’ gratuitous slap in the face stuff’) I don’t like leftist red meat any more than rightist red meat, and Ron doesn’t typically use ANY. So, I don’t know.
I think it’s someone Ron trusts (and therefore doesn’t keep an eye on) trying to discredit Ron and make Rand the face of the “liberty movement”.

How would he act if the roles were reversed – if he were the over-matched man trying to defend private property from a group of state-licensed pirates claiming “authority” from a UN mandate? We’ll never know the answer to that question, because Kyle’s “courage” is of the sort that only manifests itself in the service of power, and in the company of those enjoying a prohibitive advantage over their victims.

Had a friend of mine tweet the most notorious American serial killers and their victim counts. He then posted Kyle – 160. I set his ass straight with the differences between psychos killing unarmed women and enemy combatants.

It is one thing to read a book, but another thing to actually understand and process what is contained in the book. I hate when people just blindly say “read a book” hell regurgitation shows no sign of intelligence, processing of information is what shows signs of intelligence. Actually, Eagle Keeper – it was in the US strategic interest to take out Hussein. We should have done that during the Gulf War. IMO, we stopped there a day or two too soon. We left just enough of his loyal forces intact to allow him to survive the postwar period and retain power vice being hanged by his own countrymen in mid-1991. Saddam Hussein had long-term designs on hegemony in the Persian Gulf region. He saw himself as a modern-day Saladin, and actively worked towards that end. Any nation having hegemony over the Persian Gulf area is NOT in the US strategic interest. While we would weather the potential loss of oil from the Middle East, two of our vital trading partners and general allies – e.g., NE Asia (Japan/Korea) and Western Europe – would not. The result would likely be an economic depression like that of the 1930s. Allowing a megalomaniac with no morals and a propensity for murder, including using WMD on his own people, to acquire the ability to kill the world’s economy would have been stupid in the extreme. Hussein’s efforts towards acquiring WMD, his instigation of the Iran-Iraq War, and the invasion of Kuwait were all steps towards this aim. Unfortunately for him, he miscalculated in 1990 when he stopped at the Saudi border. God knows how things would have turned out had he gone ahead and occupied Saudi Arabia also. WMD research and covert efforts towards same continued after the Gulf War, even if production may not have (and it well may have; at this point, it’s an open question if Iraq’s WMDs ended up in Syria in early 2003). This clearly shows that Hussein still had a long-term goal of regional domination. He didn’t need WMDs for self-defense. Bottom line: Hussein was still a threat to US interests in 2003. Therefore, your attempt to rebut Susan’s argument is logically invalid due to the fact that it’s based on a completely invalid comparison. Forget comparing apples to oranges – that’s like equating a person to a mountain just because both happen to share the same first letter in their name!

This went back and forth on Reason’s blog yesterday. There is an unfortunate strain in libertarianism that considers itself above the calculations and considerations that governments have to make to function in the world. At the extreme this manifests itself as anarcho-capitalism. When the obvious flaws with this worldview are pointed out the proponents simply dismiss them-there’s no arguing with the ideologically deluded.
It’s a bit difficult to unscramble the incoherent ramblings from one of these posters. Eaglekeeper, is it? Is that all in some kind of code? Do I need a secret decoder ring for it?

Ron Paul has been deteriorating into peculiar behavior for quite some time. If he keeps attracting people who seem to need to be under adult supervision, I’d prefer to stay away from any of them.
