“Where are the Carriers?”

A President’s first question in a crisis.

US sending military assets to Middle East as Trump weighs Iran strike, sources say

Fox News confirms through ‘well-placed’ US military sources that at least one aircraft carrier in motion toward Middle East
By Jasmine Baehr , Jennifer Griffin

At least one U.S. aircraft carrier is being moved toward the Middle East as tensions with Iran continue to build, military sources confirm to Fox News.

It is not yet clear whether the carrier is the USS Abraham Lincoln, currently operating in the South China Sea, or one of two carriers that departed Norfolk and San Diego earlier this week. Transit to the region is expected to take at least a week.

U.S. military assets from air, land and sea are expected to flow into the region in the coming days and weeks to provide the president with military options should he decide to carry out strikes against Iran, sources said.

The movements are part of what officials described as a process of “setting the force.”

One well-placed source said if the president decides to carry out military action, “This will be different, more offensive.” The source said U.S. military planners are preparing a range of options that would depend on how Iran’s regime acts in coming days.

Fox News

Nothing says “I Care” quite like parking a nuclear powered Aircraft Carrier or two just off of one’s coast. Lincoln, with her Battle Group, is currently transiting from the South China Sea and should inchop the Iranian OpArea very soon. Plenty of time for the Mad Mullahs to make their travel plans. That dacha outside of Moscow is looking better and better.

Reportedly, when world crises threatened, at least one president was known to ask, “where’s Corn Pop?” In more lucid moments, he talked of sending in dog faced pony sailors.

I hope and pray the carrier’s drone, ABT and missile defenses are up to snuff. The last carrier lost in combat was the fatefully named Bismark Sea in 1945 due to suicide attacks.

With Trump rapidly becoming persona non grata around the world the Iranians might be thinking they have nothing to lose and we might not get much support if they can sink one.

Prayers for our Sailors and Marines moving into harm’s way. You are special people, the best among us.

Hmm…The Top 5 most powerful Air Forces in the world are:
1-US Air Force
2-US Navy
3-Russian Federation
4-US Army
5-US Marine Corps

Yeah, having that kind of firepower show up to your front door turns many-a-wannbe-trouble-maker about as tough as a litter of puppies.

Quartermaster

There are serious questions about the Russian Federation.

In the old days, the leadership might say “screw the people” and hunker down in shelters while the city got flattened. Civilian losses were regrettable. Nowadays, they won’t see the B-2 or F-35s coming, and the precision weapon that takes ’em out will have their name written on it. The folks next door might not even be touched. In’sh’allah, asshole.

My guess is that Mossad knows where Ayatollah is with considerable certainty but are not going to do anything until they are very confident that they won’t have to anything. Better that Iran would “give up” the Assahollah when there is compelling evidence that it is in their own interest to git’him’gon along with neutralizing would be successors.

Ah well, military strategy is not one of my skills. However, there are a LOT of guys for whom it is a profession and they are good at it. Trump should listen to them.

Decapitation strike on regime leadership, major IRGC capabilities and money-making oil industry facilities. Plus zap more of their nuclear program.

I don’t know. They used to live just two doors down from my Grandma. From what I remember Barkley went into some kind of economic excitoexamination and how do you make money at it, and his sister went into something like raising raisins…or chilluns.
Much like the Murphys went into the Marine Corps, and the Bachlaiges went into barkeeping and Real Estate.
ME? I went into keepin’ the peace while drinking heavily, and holding “Choir Practice” when needed. And all of us somehow came to an end that was okay with us………….
