Female cop lies, gets consequences

A state trooper has resigned after her arrest on Thursday.Trooper Samantha Jade Ping Stella turned herself in at Troop L in Litchfield on Thursday.
She is accused of lying about an accident while in her police cruiser.
According to state police, Stella called a sergeant on the morning of Oct. 21 to report that her cruiser had been hit by a black hatchback vehicle that then sped away from the scene as she was driving on Interstate 84 West near Exit 2 in Danbury. The sergeant told Stella to broadcast it over emergency channels so that other troopers could be on the lookout for the vehicle.
Stella was taken to the hospital to be treated for injuries.
Stella’s cruiser had damage to the right front bumper and right front fender, but the sergeant did not see any black transfer paint from another vehicle, according to the arrest affidavit.
A witness contacted a different trooper to report that they had been told a state police cruiser went off the highway and into the median, hitting a metal pole in Southbury, according to the affidavit. Troopers investigated that area and found silver pieces of debris that matched missing pieces from Stella’s cruiser, according to state police.
When an investigator contacted Stella about a month after the accident, she admitted she became distracted and had driven off the road, according to the arrest affidavit.
In her four years with the state police, Stella had been involved in four accidents involving her cruiser, state police said.
She was charged with first-degree falsely reporting an incident, misuse of the emergency 911 system, evasion of responsibility in operation of motor vehicles and failure to drive in established lane.

But it was MEN drivers in Saudi (no women drivers allowed. Islam).
During my one year TDY there, we saw all too often what we called the “Saudi sweep”. Car in the far inside left lane, needed to make the exit in less than 100 yards, no turn signal, just go for it.
Brrrr. The Front Bumper Rule: If my bumper is ahead of yours I have right-of-way into your lane. RTF now.
Don’t get me started on the round-a-bouts.
Don’t google her name for a picture of her,she looks like one of the KATUSAs that I served with, except with shorter hair. Want to bet she lied because she was on some sort of final warning for the previous 4 accidents? Now instead of just getting shit canned, she catches a charge too.
