Two Kennewick police officers shot a 27-year-old man after he allegedly charged at them with a knife in an apartment complex parking lot on Wednesday night.A video posted on Facebook shows Kennewick police officers talking with a man and then firing multiple shots as he bolts between two parked cars toward them.
Three officers can be seen with their guns drawn at the end of the video and two reportedly fired shots, said a Kennewick police news release.
Dillon Winters was wounded but didn’t suffer life-threatening injuries, said Kennewick police, who have turned the investigation over to the Regional Special Investigations Unit.
The Tri-City Herald has reached out to the person who took the video, but hasn’t received a response. According to online reports, the 30-second video was taken by a resident at the apartment complex.
Kennewick medics and police were called to the Arlo on 10th apartments about 10 p.m. after someone reported that Winters had cut his arm and said he wanted to die by suicide, Kennewick police and dispatch reports said.
Officers reported finding Winters with a knife with a large blade and spent the next eight minutes trying to talk him into giving up the weapon and getting help.

PHILADELPHIA – Investigators say a rifle-wielding man was shot in the arm by police during an encounter Wednesday in Philadelphia.
The 36-year-old man was rushed by police to the hospital in unknown condition. No officers or bystanders were hurt, investigators said.
Police say a Philadelphia License and Inspection employee and two sheriff’s deputies went to check out a property on the 1900 block of Morris Street around 11 a.m.
They were met by a 36-year-old man armed with a rifle who exited the property and walked from Morris Street to Moore Street while being followed by police.
Deputy Commissioner Frank Vanore told reporters the man refused to drop the rifle and turned towards police, and was shot in the side by one officer.

You know…iffen the popo had of carried something designed by His Most Saintly, John Moses Browning (Howitzer Be His Name), their accuracy in scoring a DRT would have vastly improved. And preferably…something that would make an Earth Shattering KA-BOOOM! I can neither confirm, nor will I deny, that there’s been talk that when our very own AW1Ed was doing duty in and around Philthy-Delphia there may and or may not have been the Ultimate Design of HMS, JMB (HBHN) riding close to hand.
Ok, Big Dawg…I know you gots that Trophy Wife to attend to and you’re a very busy man herding these cats, but you need to fix The Gunz Girl Linky. I gots to go dark again and gets back to preparing for the Invasion of The Cornhuskers but I will be lurking and checking. If I can successfully complete my seventy tooth (72th) revolution around Ol’ Sol today, you can successfully post a picture.
