Man fatally shot after allegedly entering wrong Bowling Green apartment
BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – One man is dead after police say he accidentally entered the wrong apartment and was shot.
According to the Bowling Green Police Department, officers responded just before 1 a.m. Sunday to a reported burglary in progress at 1317 Scottsville Road.
Police say while they were en route, the caller remained on the phone with dispatch and reported someone was actively kicking the door into the apartment.
According to authorities, a man-made entry into the apartment was made and a man was shot and killed by the resident.
Police say the individual killed has been identified as 23-year-old Matthew Maggart, a resident of the apartment complex.
Police say evidence suggests he was impaired and accidentally entered the wrong apartment.

Houston Family Dollar employee shoots alleged chainsaw-wielding shoplifter after fight, police say

HOUSTON, Texas (KTRK) — A store employee shot an alleged shoplifter in southeast Houston on Tuesday afternoon, according to Houston police.Police were called to the 8400 block of Winkler Road to a Family Dollar just after noon.
A sergeant on the scene said one of the store’s employees confronted a suspected shoplifter as he was exiting the store.
The two got into a physical fight, and officers said the employee was struck several times in the face.
Police confirmed the alleged shoplifter had a chainsaw on him at the time of the confrontation but did not use it.
As the employee started to fall back, police said the employee pulled out a gun and shot the alleged shoplifter in the torso.

I not only have KHOU bookmarked for daily checks but also use GVA Site and Bing Local “Houston”. Blatantly stole that from Knuckledraggin my life away blog. Sadly there was no FGS on his “Florida Man” Reports.
Seems like TDS or it’s equivalent is not just a modern ailment.

May even swing by Jenneane’s to score the cube steak (size of a baby moon hub cap), some smashed taters (gravy), dressing (gravy), sliced ‘maters, cat headed biskets, johnny cake, and some ‘nanna puddin’….or the porked beast chop…or the meatloaf…decisions decisions. The struggle will be real.
