Concealed carry holder shoots pot dealer who pulled a gun on him: report
CHICAGO — A concealed carry holder shot a man during an altercation on the South Side last night and told police it all started when his weed dealer pulled a gun on him. The alleged dealer remains hospitalized in police custody.
In a media statement, Chicago police said a 30-year-old man “was standing outside when he was involved in a verbal altercation with a male offender that was in a vehicle” around 9:30 p.m. in the 7200 block of South South Shore.
When the 30-year-old saw that the other man had a gun, he pulled his own firearm and shot the other man in the chest, according to police.
The injured man showed up at Jackson Park Hospital moments later. He was initially listed in fair condition. Officers at the scene said they saw a firearm inside his car.
According to information from the scene, the concealed carry holder told police he was trying to buy some pot from the guy in the car when the dealer pulled a gun on him.

What we know:
According to HCSO, firefighters responded to a fire call around 6 a.m. Friday in the area of Robson Ave. in Seffner.Hillsborough County deputies arrested a man who they say tried to fight an arson investigator at the scene of a fire in Seffner early Friday.
Deputies said when an arson investigator with Hillsborough County Fire Rescue arrived on the scene, a man near the fires tried to fight the investigator.
The investigator pulled a gun, officials said, forcing fire crews to stay back until law enforcement could take the suspect into custody.
Firefighters got the flames under control within 30 minutes, HCFR said. No injuries were reported.

So in shitcago, was the licensed firearms owner dealing with a licensed pot dealer? Is pot even legal there? If not then I doubt the FOID owner there is going to have that Illinois gun “privilege” much longer. I still can’t believe that foid crap hasn’t been tossed in the garbage by the courts yet.
Pot is legal in Illinois but one of the questions IIRC on the FOID application is about being a “habitual user of marijuana”. There are dispensaries everywhere in Illinois, the only reason to use a street dealer is the cost. Hope he saved enough of the difference to hire a lawer.
Didn’t know that “The Art of The Deal” on “Let’s Make a Deal” included pulling a weapon on your customer. Not gonna get much repeat business with that business model. Or…maybe…just maybe…we have a situation where the usual suspects are doing…the usual thing?
