Burglar shot in break-in at Terrell County mobile home park
GBI is investigating the incident.

TERRELL COUNTY, Ga. (WALB) – A man was shot after breaking into a home at the West Lee Mobile Home Park in Terrell County.According to Terrell County Sheriff John Bowens, the incident happened on Monday, June 24, when the suspect, Carderio Laney, allegedly broke into a home, resulting in him getting shot.
Laney has been arrested and is being held at the Terrell County Jail. He is being charged with aggravated assault and burglary.

A good example of The FA&FO Principle. Dawson/Terrell County, Georgia (Birthplace of Otis (Big O) Redding used to be a real nice, sleepy, low crime, friendly town. A place where folks left their homes/cars unlocked and got along with one another. Alas, as nearby Albany (home to Ray Charles) became a cesspool of crime and ne’er do wells, the trash spilled over into the surrounding areas and here we are.

Trailers are easier to break into, but as Carderio Laney plainly found, it’s not a good cardio workout when you catch some lead.
I’ve got a second pattern and a first pattern that was retrofitted with manual extractors.

That classic derringer was made from the 1860’s until 1939, but ammo, .41 rimfire, is hard to find. Last time it was available from Navy Arms, I bought six boxes.
