Christopher Lafayelle/Kincell; phony special operations
Someone sent us their work on this Christoper Lafayelle fellow. He changed his name from Christopher Kincell several years ago;
He probably changed his name because he was arrested in Fayetteville, North Carolina for trafficking in drugs in 1990;
Regarding the earlier charges by local authorities, Mr. Smith is charged with conspiring with Fort Bragg soldier Christopher Shannon Kincell to possess, sell and deliver steroids between Oct. 27 and Nov. 17.
Mr. Kincell, about 22, was charged Nov. 17 with four counts of possession with intent to sell and deliver anabolic steroids, four counts of sale of anabolic steroids and one count each of conspiracy to distribute anabolic steroids and maintaining a drug vehicle, according to records.
The steroids allegedly bought from Mr. Kincell were believed to have come from Mexico, West Germany and France, according to authorities.
His LinkedIn profile doesn’t mention his time in the slammer, but he does make reference to his time in “Special Operations”;
Well, he was “special operations” if that is what you call a prime mover driver for air defense artillery systems in the 3/4th ADA in the 82d Airborne Division.
Lafayelle/Kincell got out of the Army as a Private First Class after four years. He was activated for Desert Storm, but that war ended before he could leave Fort Bliss, Texas. He claims that he has two honorable discharges from the Army and that’s why he has two – that three months at Fort Bliss earned him one and he was discharged before the drug arrest in 1990.

Interesting. The linked article says that this guy was charged on 17 Nov with possession with intent to distribute and some other crimes. The article’s dated 6 March 1990 – so presumably that means Kincell was arrested on 17 Nov 1989. He was still on active duty at the time.
I’d love to know the full backstory on this one – specifically, how he escaped a court-martial or an OTH discharge in lieu of court-martial.
EDITED TO ADD: Looked over the timing a second time, and I’d guess the guy was allowed to ETS normally because his unit “didn’t want the hassle” of a court-martial and decided to let civilian authorities have him. If that’s the case, it’s a pity – he likely got an honorable discharge that he clearly may not have deserved.
Well, according to his LinkedIn, he is single handed lay responsible for every military and veteran organization’s success in Chicago. Guess that makes sense, since he is single handedly responsible for taking down drug cartels in Latin America, according to the tall tales he tells about his extracurricular activities as a mercenary of God.

Chris claimed to have co authored “put Illinois to work” , he also scammed money from investors on phony veterans housing units that never got off the ground. He is a con man who is out to hob nob with politicians and notables. Christopher uses the vet sympathy act to get people to believe his lies. His vast knowledge of vet programs and politics make him believable. I have yet to see anything concrete that he has done for anyone but himself. Drugs,whores and hanging with black people is how he lives in order to keep himself connected to those gullible enough to believe this liar. This is crazy! I actually was in the now-defunct 3/4 ADA in the Deuce! I was there from February of 1992 to January of 1994. Myself and a bunch of my buddies were all Airborne volunteers out AIT at Ft. Bliss. The retention rate was horrible, and they actually went out to Logan Heights to recruit us! We were all in B Battery with CPT Enriquez. I have never embellished one thing about my short military career, but being the Alcoholics Anonymous (AA! funny, no?) has really opened doors for me
