Doug Sonier; phony Marine

| May 21, 2015

Doug Sonier scrawney

The crowd at Military Phonies send us a link to their work on this Doug Sonier fellow. He claims that he is haunted by his service in the war against terror, like he told Lehigh Valley Live a few weeks ago.

Doug Sonier headline
Doug Sonior claims

He was one of about 60 backpackers gathered at sunrise for a “Carry the Fallen” march from the Hope Road boat launch in Bethlehem Township, Pa., to Easton’s Centre Square and back again. The heavy packs the backpackers wore were symbolic of the emotional burdens veterans carry.

“I felt it’s my responsibility to carry on their memory,” Sonier, an Operation Iraqi Freedom veteran who served in the Battles of Fallujah, said of his friends. The march “just seemed like something I should do.”
Carry the Fallen walk for veterans 3-28-15 A team of about 60 people, many of them veterans, participated in the Carry the Fallen walk from Bethlehem Township to Easton and back Saturday, March 28. They raised thousands of dollars for the nonprofit organization Active Heroes to establish a retreat for veterans in Shepherdsville, Ky.

A few of his friends have died, two from suicide. This has been an especially tough year for Sonier. He surmised it’s because of the recent 10-year anniversary of Fallujah.

Doug carries a burden alright;

Doug Sonier Nazi

Well, aside from being a piece of Nazi scum, Sonier is also not a Marine. He did twenty-two days at Parris Island before they put him back on the street.

Doug Sonier FOIA

Probably because he absconded from his halfway house from youth bootcamp and he was on probation when he enlisted without telling the Marines. Scotty has the documentation.

I hope you ladies like the shirtless picture – you’re always complaining that I don’t give you man meat to drool over. Voila!

A Neonazi, eh? Well, in that case . . .

Er ist ein Scheißhaufen. Scheiß auf ihn.

Pinto Nag

You could just tell us to LEAVE, you know. 🙁

Just an Old Dog

22 Days,, sounds about right for a fraudulent enlistment… About 5 days processing,,, was in training about two weeks before his records caught up, or he pissed hot,,, about 5 days to out-process.
Oh he’s a bad ass MMA guy too. His last fight was in 2010,, He had 0 wins, 11 losses and never made it out of the first round.
sespite him being an easy mark for up and coming fighters, once his racist background and criminasl record came out, no promoter wanted anything to do with him.

Daisy Cutter

Still lookin’ for that elusive first win.

JarHead Pat

A nazi, nice…..Yeah I’ll bet your right, he pissed hot, or after a week went wtf am I doing here.

That or he pussed out because he missed having his Mommy giving him a warm emema every night when she thought he was being a good boy.

Instinct

Hey, with that he-man build he has, I’m sure it’s right around the corner.

Hack Stone

22 days in the Corps? Given the way that wheels of administration turn, and maybe Tank Boy can confirm, that he had to move to Seperations within the first few days to get bounced in that amount of time. Maybe warrants caught up with him, maybe he just wussed out as the bus was crossing the causeway. And he is from Philly. A fake Marine from my neck of the hood. I will have to come down from the undisclosed location in the North Philly housing project and have a talk with him.

Just an Old Dog

Hack,
As a rule, at least during my time at the depot we launched entry level guys ASAP.
Once the word came down the guy popped on a piss test, had bad paper come in or was considered a medical PTE or a FTA he was gone quick.
The Company DI’s would inventory his crap, he would get drop-counseled by the CO and he would be at Bn routing that Evening. The Next day the Bn XO would do an interview and they would get sent to Separations.
At Seps they had a 3 day process. They would get a last interview at Regt, get their civie back, turn in all issued stuff, get their seps DD214 and get set packing. It would take 4-7 days at most.

ChipNASA

I initially read that as “Stoner”.
I may have not been too far off.

Okay, I’ll get the requisite ‘one suicide is one too many’ out of the way first. Done. Now, about that group and their claim that 22 Veterans are offing themselves daily. See, this is all based on a false model, that the role of PTS and those 22/day fit hand in glove. And that’s total bullshit. Total. Bullshit. Most of those suicides were committed by those who never never deployed to a war zone, let alone engaged in combat in any form. The 22 is based on a report that was compiled about 5 years ago and looked at suicides in 21 states. The actual connection of the Veteran to the military was not a factor (i.e., nature odf service, length of service, and combat experience, if any.) That is, if a Veteran whose service ended, say, in 1959, committed suicide at age 70, that was included as one of the military suicides. I tell you. This is all bullshit and groups that seek to end Veteran suicide by using these bullshit numbers and giving away patches for a minimum $100 donation ought to be investigated. As I like to point out, non-profit is a tax status and has nothing to do with donations used for salaries and leased SUVs. I don’t know a damn thing about this group, other than they are using bullshit to solicit financial support.

Just an Old Dog

I agree anyone milking any Veteran Problem to scam people should have their nutsack cut off, cured and made into as coin purse.
I looked into the “22” a day reserach as well. Even though it is not disproportinately related to Combat and PTSD veterans still have a higher suicide rate.
It doesnt matter to me if its a guy who saw too much combat in Iraq or if its a 60 year old who served in the peacetime AirForce in the 70’s and is dying alone of cancer, I dont want to see then not get help.

Hondo

I’m not convinced the disparity is actual, Just an Old Dog.

Veterans are overwhelmingly male (approx 80%, with the disparity growing with age – there just weren’t as many women in uniform prior to the all-volunteer force). The civilian population is slightly female majority.

Males commit suicide approximately 4x as often or more as do women. I don’t believe any of the “studies”
purporting to show “vets off themselves more” accounts for that demographic difference correctly. And if that difference isn’t accounted for, the studies are BS.

I recently did a “quick and dirty” check, and if I correctly recall the results a 75%/25% male/female mix drawn from the US population has a roughly comparable suicide rate to the US vet population – I think it was a bit lower but not much, but I can’t remember now with certainty. I’ll see if I can find that quick check and post it here.

2/17 Air Cav

When all suicides rise–and they have been–the suicides among Veterans rise too. It’s when one takes the Veteran suicides and isolates it from the larger population–w/o mentioning that the non-Veteran suicides rose in the same period, that the results become skewed. The Wa Po did it, as did others who picked up on their sensational bullshit story regarding Veterans and suicide.

I agree that anyone contemplating taking his own life needs help. What I object to is the raising awareness approach–the feel-good, wear pink crud that makes money for manufacturers of pink outfits, balloons and whatnot but otherwise does little or nothing to provide help.

Pinto Nag

It’s easier to buy a pink whatever than to get up close and personal with a suffering human. THAT is why “raising awareness” is marketed, rather than “roll up your sleeves and DO SOMETHING.”

A Proud Infidel®™

I wonder just how much money these feel-good entities actually put toward their causes versus paying hefty salaries to their upper echelons like the WWP does?

2/17 Air Cav

So, a few days ago in my area, a 14-year old boy puts a shotgun in his mouth and literally blows his brains all over the wall of a room in his house. He had a dispute with his parents. He had what anyone would regard as a normal life. He was a good student but preferred to spend most of his free time playing video games. That’s what the dispute was about. He took his own life and ruined those of his family. I can’t figure it. The facts I know because of my close associations with certain folks. I am not omitting anything that would otherwise help explain why the boy did what he did.

Thunderstixx

Oh Good Good.
I hate hearing those stories. Veteran or not, suicide is a waste of life and affects others and so completely devastates those left it is no wonder that many of surviving family members have issues for the rest of their lives.
God bless that family.

Thunderstixx

It’s supposed to say: Oh Good God.
Sorry.

Pinto Nag

There is impulsive vs. considered suicide. Children are particularly vulnerable to impulsive suicide.

Justin Fitch

I am actually on the committee of “carry the fallen”. Our financials are posted clearly and we are not a scam. I have seen this group save lives first hand. You can argue about statistics all you want or claim that a soldier that hadnt deployed who kills themself is somehow not tragic, but it is about saving troops and having a heart. If you have an issue about carry the fallen, feel free to call my cell phone 706-536-6146 … i have terminal cancer and still consider the cause important enough to put my time into. Also, no one has to donate a penny to participate. If they raise $100 to help us build the veteran retreat they get a patch that costs less than a dollar. Like i said, feel free to call me. This guy was someone who showed to an event and is not associated with us. It is a shame to have his lie reported from one of our events. It hurts what we are trying to do.

D

You say it’s a shame to have his lie reported from one of your events. But you certainly don’t mind using very questionable statistics to promote your cause, including on your LinkedIn page: https://www.linkedin.com/in/jruck

uh1av8r

Well I cannot comment on accuracy of the statistics but in the last year two of my team from Iraq and Afghanistan have killed themselves one is committed to a VA institution. Since I am Reserve and Guard a lot of our suicides do not get rolled up in the totals. Since leaving Bragg in 2006 there have been 6 suicides in just my small circle. The truly sad part is one worked at the VA and could not get good treatment and one was considered “cured” by the VA before he shot himself. I was not one to really believe in PTSD as a real issue, but after 3 1/2 years deployed since 2003 I found myself in Walter Reed trying to get TBI treatment from one to many IEDs. A lot of us have bit the bullet and kept deploying so we could stay with our teammates and eventually you pay a steep price for it. PTSD ruins everything and effects you in ways I never thought possible. Something has to be done and relying on the VA is a joke. I’m a 28 year LTC and am an airborne USAJFKSWCS graduate. I’m also a retired police officer. I’m no chicken but Soldiers that really suffer from PTSD (not the bus loads of fakers I see spotlighted here) usually do so in silence and when they decide to end it they just do it.

This may be a tough year for dougie-boi, but I’m sure it has absolutely nothing to do with the upcoming ten-year anniversary of the Battle of Fallujah. Go tell lies about something else, asswipe…

CLAW131

So what I’m reading from this thread is that in 1999 it was SOP to ship a recruit off to boot camp without having the city, county, state and national law enforcement background checks included in the enlistment packet.
That people have already been processed through the recruit depot, got their clothing issue and medical checks/shots, etc, etc, and then having their rap sheet show up? Then they are reversed processed for fraudulent enlistment/entry level separation.

Sure does seem like a whole lot of wasted time, money and effort after the fact.

Not trying to bash on the recruiting procedures, but geez. A couple of phone calls from the recruiter to the local LEO’s could have prevented all this.

ChipNASA

Ahem…..”Quotas”…..
😀
/”Oh he’s someone elses problem now.

Just an Old Dog

I was on the other side of the country (SD) about he time he went in.
Looking at the time frame he was dropped ( About the 2 week of actually training) It could be very possible he took off from his detention center. lied to a recruiter and was a direct ship before the authorities got the word out.

CLAW131

Same day ship? Oh,well, you roll the dice and take your chances.

I see that as a good way to double or triple your mission for the month and get a good ass chewing from the station/area commander at the same time.

Just an Old Dog

My first tour at MCRD I ended up doing my last 6 months running Seps Platoon. Some of the cases boggled the mind.
There was one kid that was recruited out of a halfway house for mentally ill teens.

USMCE8Ret

Things may have changed, but if a poolee is dropped after he/she ships, the recruiter doesn’t get credit.

I’m not sure at what stage of the game the recruit has to be in the training pipeline, but I think these fast-track contracts got the USMC Recruiting Commands’ attention.

Just an Old Dog

As a Hat we always noticed a sharp decline in both the Quality and Quality of the “Winter Herds”.
A lot of the gung ho kids would sign up as Srs in High School, so from June to Sept we would have huge companies.
The November-March Herds were smaller. The were a bit older and often a few years out of school and looking for jobs. Sometimes we would have about 1/3 of them be overweight.
It was always a big “stat” thing to see how the direct ships did.

Hack Stone

I seriously doubt that any branch of the military has done a same day ship in the last thirty years. Back when I was on Recruiting Duty, it was a minimum of thirty days between enlisting and shipping.

That being said, my Uncle has told me on numerous occasions how he ended up in the Army, circa 1953. At the tender age of 19, he got tired of the leash his old man, my Grandfather and a WWI vet, kept on him, so walked into the Army recruiting on a Friday afternoon, signed the paperwork, and the Recruiter said he would ship on Monday. He demanded to ship right away. Never told his family, never contacted them. Weeks later, someone from the old neighborhood recognized him while he was in Basic Training. He ended up a Ranger, got out as a Captain, and retired as a career FBI agent.

RM3(SS)

When I joined, I had talked to the recruiter and filled out some paperwork. He scheduled me to go to Oakland for my physical on a delayed entry. When I got there, I asked if I could just go to bootcamp now and they shipped me that night. This was in 1971 when they were still drafting.

3/17 Air Cav

Fast track? Ya I fast tracked alright. Draft number 13. Show up portland Oregon, take one step forward, sworn in. Take a milk run bus from Portland to Fort Lewis. It should be a three hour trip at most. Took all day, arrived at night. First meal in the Army, burnt black chicken. Ah that Army life, what memories!

3/17 Air Cav

Fast forward, one year five months later. Returning from the Nam, out processing discharge. My last night in the Army. I slept in a unheated barracks. No bedding, used my winter dress coat as a blanket. The only upside was I had a wet dream my last nite in the Army. My DD214 is signed by my basic training CO

Hack Stone

I have never heard of anyone reporting to MCRD that did not arrive at 03:00. When I enlisted in Philadelphia, we swore in at the AFEES, not to be confused with AAFES, in the morning, and they held us until about 17:00’ish to catch one of the later flights to Atlanta. From Atlanta, a commuter flight to Charleston, where we waited. And waited. Finally, we launched to sync up with a 03:00 arrival at Parris Island.

Now, that got me to thinking. I went to radio repair school with a guy from San Diego. So I asked him what time did he arrive. He said that the day that he enlisted, they kept him at the AFEES until about 02:30, put him in a car, and was driven across town to MCRD San Diego. Somehow, that was supposed to disorient him. He could see his house from the parade deck.

Semper Idem

The ironic thing is that Hitler’s SS would have classed this puke as an ‘antisocial’, given him a black triangle on his sleeve, tattooed a number on his arm, and sent him to a truly horrific place where the only escape lay up the chimney. You know, the same fate he would wish on the people he considers to be ‘subhuman’. It’s especially interesting that all of Hitler’s victims were a thousand times more honorable than this guy will ever be, and none deserved their fate.

Arbeit macht frei, Herr Sonier…gottverdammt mutterficker. Nazis Raus!

Daisy Cutter

He seems like a Billy Bad @$$ wannabe — Marine, Skinner, jailhouse tats, MMA… he’s dipping his toe into a lot of different waters trying to fit in.

This is actually one case that if you thought to yourself “Gee, I’d really like to see this guy get his @$$ kicked” you can. It’s all over YouTube.

Green Thumb

Mixed Martial Arts, huh?

The only thing this maggot mixes is various types of semen in his mouth.

Turd.

3/17 Air Cav

Yep…..no question about it. That is most definitely, the bod of a trained warrior! Legit without question.

CLAW131

I wonder if he is Rodney “Dan” Pratts’ Grandson?

Once a Hitler Youth, always a Hitler Youth.

Good to see a comment from you. Everything OK?

Claw…..things are going well. Finished my due diligence this morning. Transferring my wife’s 401 to my name and SS # one more account left with Charles Schwab. I should finish that tomorrow. Then I’m done, thank God.

Emotionally, I’m doing better. It’s evolving from the ugliness of the death, to the memories of the good life we had together.

Claw…..thanks for thinking about me!

Hondo

Good to see that you’re doing better, amigo.

A Proud Infidel®™

Ditto!

Seadog

I’ve never met you, but I understand your pain. Tomorrow is the 15th time I recognize the passing of my first wife. Feel free to contact me any time.

Hang in there. It doesn’t really get better, but it does get easier.

Aside from his sissy forearms, biceps, triceps, pecs, abs, shoulders, and neck, I’d say he was one helluva of a man. Thank goodness he’s got his pants on.

I’m surprised he’s not rocking a trident tramp stamp on his ab-domen.

A Proud Infidel®™

Not YET.

A Proud Infidel®™

Judging from his past antics, I’d say it’s only a matter of time until he really pisses off someone who doesn’t give a rat’s ass and he gets curbstomped. Just another little drek of a fercockt kadokhes!

Mayhem

So we know he isn’t a Marine but what about the “Mixed Martial Artist” Or did he earn that because he is known to scream “Karatay Man!” when ever he executes a highblock move from the Horse stance?

Thunderstixx

He, like all the other Nazi wannabe’s are so full of crap.
He just looks terrifying doesn’t he…

Bobo

Why is it that the chicks who hook up with these Nazi types never look anything like the chicks in Hitler’s videos and posters?

Veritas Omnia Vincit

What are you trying to say Bobo?

Are you saying they’ve taken the lean out of fraulein?

Are you saying she’s a plumper?

hehehe, I like that observation.

Hondo

Given the fact that she’s apparently OK with dating a NeoNazi (or is one herself) – maybe she’s an example of “frau-lyin’ “.

spd0302

This shitbird is one of the reasons I no longer have a Facebook profile and minimize my social media presence. I lived in philly for 12 years with my wife and daughter up until our relocation 6 months ago. We moved for a wonderful reason, but I remember this turd. He was part of an FB group for Marines and had some sob story. I was ready to help, but further discussions made me realize this fucker was a problem. He got so close to home for me that I pulled chocks. I’m still open to help any vets in need, but my rose colored glasses are gone.

What a scumfuck.

I notified a buddy of mine who is one of the Admin’s on the USMC Force Reconnaissance FB page. He said they’ll take care of it.

From the look in that photo he should change his name to Dougie Stonier.
