From his DD214, it looks like he was an honorably discharged Sergeant of Marines, promoted just a few weeks before he left active duty. He had one sea deployment for a few months. But he also left active duty just as the war against terror was ramping up. I guess he chose to leave just as the country would need him, and then he makes up stories about what he did instead of staying and doing the job that he was trained to do. He has a couple of sniper courses listed in his training, it’s unfortunate he decided of his own free will to leave the Marines – his records make it look as though his expertise would have been needed on the battlefield. But then, he shit all over that service by lying.

And if I remember correctly, wasn’t the Marine Corps calling up recently separated Marines back into service at about that time. An NCO with his set of skills would’ve been highly sought at that time. Wonder how he got outta that shit. Maybe he hurt his ankle when visiting that fine establishment The Bodyshop and slipped on some stripper sweat.
Or perhaps on some man-chowder at the nearest glory-hole.
It’s possible that he got hurt while in the service and was out on disability…even during times of recalling people, they aren’t going to take anyone that has over a certain percentage (I think it’s 10% or something).
If he did two enlistments, then chances are he had no more IRR time left and could not legally be recalled.

I rolled my ankle once carrying the unit mail bag up some stairs, I freak out now any time I see stairs. That got to be worth another 10% on a PTSD claim.
Sadly, DH – given the crap we see regarding people conning the VA, sometimes I wonder if that’s not actually true these days.
3 month deployment!! Must have been nice! Did two and a half months floating around Haiti and still had to do a 6 month deployment a month later!!
I wouldn’t put too much stock in the 100% disability claim. You don’t get 100% for missing an entire leg and I bet he is blowing smoke about that too. I can’t condemn him for getting out at the end of his enlistment but having done that, turning around and claiming service in the war on terror when he consciously made the decision to leave is the lowest of the low.

What hurts personally is he brags about %100 disability.
I was hurt while I served and am thankful for my %100 disability, because without it I would likely be in a casket. My life has been a constant battle with pain the past decade. I had a 4+ year normal enlistment and participated in OIF OEF. My disability payment keeps a roof over my head and food in my families bellies.
So for this moron to gloat about being disabled really sickens me. Hopefully TAH will give him the fame he obviously craves. Because it really hits home with me that if in face he is %100 service connected than he is a lot like me and that makes me feel uncomfortable.
I make no wild claims like this jerk. I was lucky I got to serve in the Navy until my body gave out on me. I am thankful for my VA Disability but like many I have nothing but scorn for the VA.

I at the time of my injury had 6 plus years of service I don’t count anything else from time before but the Army and VA did when the Army Retierd Me… No BS story’s. I served with 2/5 during his time there. After passing the indoc for s.s.p. Back in 2000, I met Bush and he was one of the senior marines in the plt. He was a pretty stand up marine. I never expected to read about something like this from him.
I know for a fact that this individual does not receive 100% disability because I lived with him for 3 years. He is a liar to say the least, and a woman beater to add the icing to the cake!!
