Chris Mazurak; phony “Veteran of the Game”

| January 15, 2015

Mazurek

POG O3 went to the Mets/Cubs game last year at Citi Field when they honored a veteran by the name of Chris Mazurek. The announcer said that Chris had earned a Silver Star in Ramadi and that Chris had joined the Navy and later the Army. POG O3 checked the Department of Defense list of Army Silver Star awardees and Mazurek’s name didn’t appear there. So he went to Mary and got a FOIA.

While he waited, he found an article in the New York Times from over two years ago where he made the same claims (without the Silver Star);

He served in the Navy, then re-upped and served in the Army in Iraq, saw some ugly combat, and came home in bad shape. After his discharge he stayed with his mother on Long Island for a while, then moved to New York City and wound up sleeping on the streets, drinking in a bad way. But he got sober, got a job as a dog walker with Club Pet NYC, moved into an apartment on the Lower East Side.

The Army says “Who?” and the Navy said, “Oh, that guy”;

Mazurek was an Electrical/Mechanical Repairman and spent five whole months in the Navy and had no awards. He was discharged a month or so after 9/11/01. It probably isn’t the Mets fault, even though New Yorkers blame everything that goes wrong in that town on the Mets. Nope, it was Chris’ fault, completely.

We thank him for his life time of selfless service.

Are the chin whiskers a dead giveaway on this?

Ah …

NHSparky

Nope, not even a veteran.

And while Great Lakes did kinda suck, five months before tapping out, bro?

Jeez, things must have really gotten bad there. Did they close the Helm Club or something?

Ex-344MP

Tool. That’s all. Out.

Sometimes removing a dangerous concealed “do it yourself” junction box that is hidden behind drywall and then replacing it with a box up to code with an appropriate access cover can be a very taxing process and a giant pain in the ass.

It’s difficult, dirty and if you don’t double check that you’ve de-energized the appropriate wires in the non-compliant box you can be seriously injured.

However they do not under any circumstances award silver stars for this work, nor does 5 months of service warrant “Veteran of the Game’ status to anyone.

Unless they meant “Veteran of the Con Game”, which would in fact be quite appropriate….those poor Mets, they can’t play baseball and the can’t find a real vet to honor at what passes for a game at their stadium.

Mr. Mazurak, you sir are a turd.

HMCS(FMF) ret

Looks like the umbilical cord didn’t stretch long enough from home for him to handle it. Or, the antiwar protestors got to him (they use to talk to all of the students giving them ideas on how to get out – usually it was “tell you chain of command you’re gay”)

I’d love to know where on Long Island this clown lived. Google search doesn’t show much. The local rag, Newsday has no history either.

LIRight

In all seriousness….(lol)….is Mazurek the one with the collar or the beard?

NavyCWORet

The only “game” he’s a veteran of is The Crying Game.

A Proud Infidel®™

That and he’s now a con game veteran.

I hope that LYING ASSED DINGLEBERRY OF AN ATTENTION WHORE enjoys his newfound internet fame!!

I wasn’t at the game and I read no account of the honor he received but it should have gone something like this, I imagine:

“Ladies and gentlemen. The New York Mets and Major League Baseball are honored tonight to recognize one of our nation’s distinguished Veterans. Please join with us in welcoming home and thanking Armed Forces Veteran Chris Mazurek! (Deafening applause)

Now, I would like to share with you something about Chris. He joined the Navy in that fateful year in US history, 2011. After basic training, Chris volunteered for specialized training as an electrical and mechanical equipment repairman. We don’t know whether he completed that arduous training because that information is redacted on his discharge papers and Chris is understandably uncomfortable discussing it. Nevertheless, we wish to point out that after nearly 5 ½ grueling months in Illinois, Chris rejoined the civilian world and went on to become a street drunk and a dog walker. Thank you Chris!”

Ex-PH2

‘grueling months in Illinois’???

ONLY if you’re at Great Mistakes, and ONLY if the pipes freeze, and ONLY if the beer machine in the 1st and Chiefs’ barracks is out of beer, AirCav.

2/17 Air Cav

The fateful year was 2001, not 2011. Even announcers sometimes make big mistakes.

68W58

Heh-heard the announcer at a Panthers game call someone a “Lieutenant Corporal”.

nbcguy54

It’s just a typo.
He SAW silver stars when he was shocked during Electrical School.

I wouldn’t want that turd anywhere near my dog.

Ex-PH2

I wouldn’t want him anywhere near my house wiring.

First comment…been following this blog for months and now want to join in. Evidence reinforces my reflexive suspicion of just about anyone who goes out of their way to say “look at me”, particularly in this era of the near canonization of any vet (real or fake). My rough “working rule” is that the self-promotion is inverse to the accomplishment. Always exceptions of course, such as those big egos that can really deliver, but I find that character trait distasteful just the same. Anyway, I’m glad this fellow of lame accomplishment is busted!
P.S. I didn’t realize that Club Pet NYC had such low employment standards. I’d rather my GSD pee on his leg than a fire hydrant.

Grueling combat in Iraq? More like grueling food fights over boot camp food. 🙄

Instinct

This guy is a tool.

Also, I have to share this here because the amount of fail is so strong it has it’s own gravitational field. Supposedly this company is owned by a former Marine with “multiple combat tours to Iraq, and other places throughout the world” – Course the company website doesn’t say what this guys name is.

Sounds like self imposed retro-active birth control to me.

Depending on what jurisdiction some fool might wear won of these in, he/she might well get arrested for violation of brandishing laws:

Teacher: What do you want to be when you grow up?

Suzie? “That’s easy. I want to be a pilot.”

Peter? “A fireman, like my Daddy.”

Mike? “A soldier!”

Chris? “A dog walker. I like the smell of dog shit and dog walkers get paid to…

Teacher: Thank you, Chris.

“…He served in the Navy, then re-upped and served in the Army in Iraq…”

After being booted from Navy basic training, the only thing this turd “re-upped” for was another stint in Mommy’s basement. As Hondo would say: FAK’HEEM !!!

1SG, US Army (retired)

Hmmm, let see… two planes “crash” into the WTC, one forced down into a PA field, another blasts a hole in the Pentagon. I’m at basic training, the nation’s on alert, the military is gearing up — gee, I guess it’s time to start wetting the bed, walking in my sleep and telling my drill instructor that I have felony charges that I didn’t disclose… I’ll be back in mom’s basement before you know it!!!

This dirt bag is giving dog walkers a bad name…

RazorbackStrong

He kinda reminds me of what the Rev’s stupider brother would look & act like. Ballduster, faux service dog, stolen valor, attention whore, homeless…
Maybe he’ll show up for the beatdown too.

jedipsycho (Certified Space Shuttle Door Gunner)

Is it just me, or does it appear in that picture that he is butt-pumping the dog?

Retired Master

Of course, don’t you see that “WTF” look on the dog’s face?

Big Steve

So dumb he thought he could get away with this little scam, without some real vet(s) looking into his story. God… you really can’t fix stupid.
A pathetic liar, and with a job as a dog walker. Is it safe to say this guy will never amount to much?

Hack Stone

Once he moves up to the assistant to the Assustant Manager, maybe he can use some of his pull to get Paul Wickre a job picking up the dog shit.

Enigma4you

I dont think he made it tru boot camp

Arrived 20 july
Boot camp is 8 weeks +- a few days so he should have completed Boot the 2nd or 3rd week of september

He was sent to SSC on the 7 of october and discharged the 24.

He was either set back a few times or put on some sort of hold other than Medical.

TheChief

He was transferred to Service School Command (SSC) after boot camp so he made it through boot. His transfer to TPU was when they decided not to waste training time on him and process for admin separation.

Electrical/Mechanical Repairman school is code for fireman common core, nothing special. I didn’t let strikers touch an electrical piece of equipment by themselves for at least 6 months (after cranking) unless they realy showed they knew what they were doing. Not even a class ‘A’ school so it looks like he was going to head to the fleet as an undesignated FN, but he didn’t make it that far.

This one smells like a fireman Timmy to me. Maybe he got the silver star for sweepers while at TPU?

Green Thumb

This dude strikes me as being into dildos.
