Hippies punished in Highland Falls, NY

Highland Falls criminals

Yeah, I know we haven’t heard much from the filthy band of dregs attached to Matthis and Elaine Brower lately, until today when we hear the results of their arrest way back on December 1, 2009 outside West Point. Thanks to Deborah Sweet for the report;

Six anti-war activists and leaders, aged 30 through 75 were sentenced on March 19 to eight hours “community service,” and $125 court costs for a disorderly conduct conviction arising from a protest 300 people made December 1, 2009, when Obama announced, inside the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, a huge expansion of US troops to Afghanistan.

Elaine Brower, Matthis Chiroux, Tarak Kauff, Alison Beth Levy, and Richie Marini agreed to serve the time, washing Highland Falls, NY, ambulances and police cars, and pay the fee. Beverly Rice asked that she be able to send funds instead to the National Lawyers Guild, and when that was denied, she took jail time, on the basis of conscience. Her sentence was ten days at the Orange County jail, where she was taken immediately. The sheriff says Bev, 75, will be released early.

Of course, Brower was the most vociferous of the group – that Staten Island persona, ya know;

Elaine Brower said she had been outside the gate at West Point to “petition my government” to stop the war. “My son did ten years in the Marine Corps, two tours in Iraq and one in Afghanistan. He has done horrible things” as part of the U.S. war on those countries. She said “I am seeing that injustice in the eyes of my son who is emotionally wounded.”

Still picking on her son and hiding behind his service to justify her bad behavior.

I’m just glad that some judge, somewhere finally summoned the testicular fortitude to punish the filthy beasts. And for someone who claims to be ashamed of his service, Matthis sure wears his uniform an awful lot.

Where do they get the time and the money to do this?

FatCircles0311

A Marine against war is like a Christian against Christ.

PintoNag

I want to hear from Brower’s son. I couldn’t care less what Brower has to say.

And they call washing cars “community service”? I could have found something more memorable than that for them to do for the community.

Stacy0311

somebody won’t be getting a card on Mother’s Day….

Charles Durning was born there. That’s about the only thing nice that I can say. I’d like to know when the characterization of the wars changed. It used to be “Bush’s War” or the “Bush/Cheney War.” Now it’s just a generic government war. How’s that work again?

Blanka

Dude, I live in Highland Falls… LMAO I need to grab a lawn and six-pack and head to the police station! Ahahaha

Blanka

Lawn chair on that lawn

OWB

These fools are so demented that a conviction is honorable to them. Whatever.

2/17 Air Cav

@6. Hey Blanka. Is that a plaque dedicating the building they’re standing in front of to men and women of the military or the Fallen?

Veritas Omnia Vincit

It’s a light sentence, but at least it’s a sentence…8 hours? Could at least have been 40 hours and let these lazy pr1cks put in what the government defines as a work week anyway…

MCPO NYC USN (Ret.)

They should have been sentenced to cleaning the face of “Storm King Mountain” with warm soapy water and a tooth brush in each hand.

Oh … no ropes or harnesses either!

Blanka

2/17 it states: “This building is dedicated to those men and women who have given of their lives in the service of their country in time of need.”

@13. Thank you. I figured as much given that the slobs–POS himself and that butt wipe who looks like a refugee from a CPA course.

2/17 Air Cav

“…given that the slobs…were blocking it.”

Blanka

@14, No problem… And try living with one of them for a year. Severely shakes one’s faith in mankind.

Is it me, or is Matthis looking a little worse for wear? It looks as if some form of narcotic is taking it’s toll… I mean, look at the sunken eyes, droopy skin, and signs of malnutrition…

Eric

If her son did “horrible things” in Iraq and Afghanistan, he needs to turn himself in to federal authorities and admit his “crimes” as violations of Federal Law, the UCMJ, Geneva Convention, etc. Since we are all briefed that following an illegal order is illegal in itself.

But then, he won’t do that because that would mean he might end up in Federal “Pound me in the Ass” prison.

Not to mention, “horrible things” probably means at most he yelled at some Iraqis or Afghans to get out of the way of his truck during convoys.

We have the anti-Drone committee near where I’m at now. I just roll my eyes at it, but they are fairly peaceful about it at least. We just tell our Soldiers not to try engaging them in any way because the Soldier will lose the debate, regardless and then end up on YouTube as a War Criminal admitting his crimes or something to that effect.

Ex-PH2

Hey, Eric, do any of those people know about the drones being used here?

Just asking.

Ex-PH2

Matthis. Is he the one wearing sunglasses on a cloud day? Unless I miss my guess, he must be suffering from the ‘high as a kite’ syndrome.

OWB

Thanks, Blanka, for the pic, and thanks AC for pointing out that bit of irony.

Twist

I remember as a young soldier complaining about how we trained for the big “game” and never got to play the “game”. I now know how badly that “game” sucks. The “horrible things” that we did was defending ourselves or cleaning up the mess after the bad guys did bad things. Fuck these hippies. I’m sorry for the profanity and rambling thoughts and bad grammar tonight, these people just piss me off.

Blanka is cute … I mean hot .. I mean attractive!

You know what I mean!

# 23 and # 24 was NOT ME. Some has hacked my interwebbernet.thingy.magig/computer.

@20 – The Syracuse Peace Council does regular drone protests (pretty much weekly) at Hancock Air Base. There are a couple special days they are planning in the future as well.

And yes, they are very well informed about usage of drones here too.

Green Thumb

Turds and posers.

I see this everyday in the Great NW.

Sad.

Hey Blanka, nice pic, and I really like the plaque you’re highlighting! Kids like you restore my faith in the younger generations!!
Hey, y’all, I know I’ve repeatedly posted about “National Beat A Poser Month” and I now think that we also need to crusade for “National Beat a Hippie Week”, during which any and every Vet is allowed to beat as many hippies a day as he or she pleases. During the rest of the year, Vets as well as others will be limited to beating only 12 hippies per day!!

@MCPO NYC, I’m more in favor of making them cut grass on a golf course with a pair of fingernail clippers while they’re doing a “Sniper’s Crawl”!!

2/17 Air Cav

Whoa! Is Blanka the lady in the pic?

Blanka

Lol yep, that’s me 🙂

2/17 Air Cav

Well, Blanka, then I must say that you are a lovely woman and a welcome sight for my old and sore eyes.

Blanka

Thank you, Air Cav. It’s an honor.

Powerpoint Ranger

Maybe their Occupy buddies can stage a protest at the same time, and arrange to shit on the cars that Matthis and co. just washed.

Honey Badger

I wonder how many people know that this Matthis Chiroux guy has filed a disability claim with the VA for PTSD? He claims he “suffers” from PTSD because … now hang on to something … wait for it … might want to grab a beer before reading this: He procured a prostitute in either Japan or the Philippnes and got what he paid her for … sex. But then claims that after he did so … he “felt” that he had actually “raped” her and that it has given him PTSD. I shit you not. Just curious … does he plan to give his VA disability money to this poor prostitute that he “raped”? Does he plan to maybe give his monthly check to a rape survivor’s support group? No doubt he WILL, right? Given his extreme sense of decency and respect for human rights, eh?

Honey Badger

When I first heard about this Matthis kid I thought “oh great, another wannabe desperate for some authenticity … trying to convince himself that he’s on some valiant crusade.” How much he wanted to bask in some kind of Vietnam-esque aura of Kent State and Haight-Ashbury. But how quickly I learned that he’s a con artist and his little followers are the ones with the hooks still in their mouths from his having reeled them in. This slithering little nobody is even called a “con man” by his own father. Now that takes some doing. This is a guy who wants to take taxpayer money for a PTSD disability because of the “trauma he suffered” from hiring and having sex with a prostitute. Anybody know when and where this car washing “punishment” will take place?

A Proud Infidel

If it was anywhere near me, I’d be tempted to do a “drive-by on him with some water balloons “just for s**ts and giggles”!

Anonymous in Jax

OMG, I had no idea his disability claim stemmed from the rape! I thought he claimed he had vicarious traumatization from spending several days in Afghanistan as an Army journalist. Wow, it just gets better and better. How do you know that’s what his disability claim is for?
