Aden hopes the problem will disappear
Apparently, the trolls are angry because we brought down their only viable candidate for Arkansas’ 3rd Congressional District, Ken Aden. We’re “Waffen SS” for policing our ranks and keeping the spirit of the Stolen Valor alive…ya know because the Supreme Court said the remedy for lies is more truthful speech, and apparently the trolls don’t want more speech when it comes to their liars. Of course, the troll in question opens his missive by calling us Nazis and then says some mumbling bullshit about how he supports the troops, and thanks us for our service. Color me surprised.
But, to keep the spirit of the Stolen Valor Act alive, I’ll continue with the Ken Aden story; the Arkansas Gazette says that Aden’s latest response is to pretend that if he ignores everyone long enough, the problem will just go away;
Aden was not available for comment Tuesday because he was spending the afternoon at home, Gill said. “I don’t want to bother him while he is with his daughter.”
Aden also has not returned calls from state Democratic Party leaders, according to party spokesman Candace Martin. Party officials asked Aden to apologize last week for exaggerating his military record.
Yeah, that should work just fine. I don’t suppose the Democrat Party could just chalk that district up as a loss and cut Aden loose, could they? Just spare the rest of us the spectacle of a veteran clinging to the last few shreds of his dignity and his lies. They were probably going to lose the race in the heavily conservative district anyway, so they can spare themselves the bucks they would have spent trying to redeem the liar.
I still want to know what’s up with using the alias in Ohio, though. Maybe if he clings to this fantasy long enough, someone will tell us about it.

No surprise, Jonn. People of that mindset are all for “free speech” until someone disagrees with them. Then they pull out all the stops to attempt to silence their critics.
It’s the posers like this that get me really angry. A guy who had an excellent military career and then does this….
I was just reading in my local paper about a man from our small hometown who was one of the Montford Point Marines recently honored. His tales of bravery and daring do? The war ended 8 days before he got to Japan so he pulled guard duty and unloaded ships. That’s it, and he’s proud as hell about his service. Hear that posers? You can pull guard duty and unload ships and still be proud of your service!
And I just got TSO’s email about the upcoming Stolen Valor tourney…..I can’t wait to get started!
#3 I concur. MAILMAN FTW!!!

My grandfather was reportedly very proud of his time spent in Germany with the USAF as a plumber.
Spade,
My Grandfather was a plumber in WWII. Spent most of his time in port in, of all places, Iraq. They built a railroad from there to supply the Russians. My Grandfather maintained de-salination units to keep them in fresh water. He was proud of his service as well.
Both grandfathers served. A merchant Marine in the Pacific and a cook on a submarine in the Aleutians. Day before the boat sails for combat, he gets pulled for appendicitis. Never saw action, never lied about doing so. He could tell great stories about being aboard though. The merchant Marine keeps bugging me to go Warrant because my father and uncles are/were Warrants, and I keep telling him being an NCO is where I am and I like it. It’s pretty funny to listen to. “Hey granddad, you see all my deployments, all the hooah stuff I am doing, and have accomplished over the last 18 years?” and he always says, “Yeah, but it would be great if you would go Warrant, wouldn’t that be something?” Bless his heart…

Nice job, Cop. His deputy campaign manager has put himself in the position of saying that everyone, including the Army, is wrong, and Aden is right.
I dont get it. If the “missing time” is his National Guard service, why isn’t there a dd214 proving he was discharged into the RA(Regular Army). Or a certificate, or a DD368 voiding his National Guard Service to join the Regular Army. I may have lost this over the numerous posts about Aden, but there has to be a certificate or a paper trail explaining this “missing time”. A DD368 will void a service to join another one(for example USMC Reserve to join Army, what im trying to do).
I understand that it was year 2000, according to the interviewer but there HAS to be some kind of paper trail proving he was in National Guard and to transfer to RA.
I’m trying to transfer branches right now and some recruiters refuse to even talk to me because I do not have a 368 signed. I was talking to a few and they only reason I got to “talk to them” is that I was willing to get a 368 signed and I had two 214s(active and reserve service) proving that I was in.
I may not know all the in’s and outs of the Army, but shouldn’t there be a DD214 for the times he attended basic training/AIT and then got back into national guard duty?. I understand national guard is sort of like reserve, with 1 weekend a month duty.
Only reason I speculate because I’ve seen fellow reservists with a ‘active duty’ dd214 because they attended boot camp, mct, and mos school; then get they return to reserve duty.
unless hes hiding his other dd214, which could be a possibility.
