1SG Camacho is a fraud

| April 4, 2012

Someone sent me this video on Facebook last night of a guy claiming to be First Sergeant Brian Comacho. You can see he’s wearing First Sergeant rank on his jacket;

“1st Sgt. Camacho, USMC” is a fraud from Rubio Films on Vimeo.

“1st Sgt. Camacho, USMC” is a fraud from Rubio Films on Vimeo.

The video was produced by a group calling themselves “Wounded Minds” who also flew Camacho from Pennsylvania to Toronto for treatment for his PTSD. The video had 20,000 hits in the first day. Wounded Minds posted this picture of Camacho;

Comacho

I’m sure most of you Marines had first sergeants whose pants cuffs were dragging on the floor. Or not. According to Vimeo, Marines came out in droves and said this guy was no first sergeant and that he was a complete fraud.

All indications point to fraudulent criminal misrepresentation and is currently under investigation.

Early unconfirmed reports indicate an arrest has been made.

Military Minds seems upset that they were too eager to find someone who will tell them what they wanted to hear;

We are a community of soldiers and civilians dedicated to PTSD awareness. The statistics on this terrible condition is both sad and alarming. When we heard an alleged US Marine cry for help, we saw no borders and offered assistance immediately.

If the allegations against the validity of the claims made in the video prove to be true we will make sure that the person(s) involved are prosecuted to the full extent of the law. All monies will be reimbursed completely or paid forward at your request.

We are immediately implementing safeguards to prevent such unfortunate eventualities moving forward. Our grassroots movement is strong, but far from perfect. We rely on our community more than ever. Help us through this.

We would like to thank the impassioned few who voiced their opinions and thank those who stand by our side during these difficult times.

Yeah, well, that’s all well and good, but someone should have asked for some paperwork before they leaped in with both feet. I’m sure there will be more instances of fraud like this because, as with IVAW, the do-gooders need poster boys for their particular cause more than they need actual people suffering from PTSD. There’s money involved, so there will be malfeasance involved in the issue.

HONDO and LOSTBOYS that fake officer on the left does not have any rank insignia on his shoulders and he should. But yes, in Dress Blue Alphas, for any award that has no associated medal, the ribbon is worn 1/8″ above the right breast pocket and centered. Unit citations and B-Billet ribbons usually have no associated medal

Side note… My eye sight isn’t great, and the resolution sucks when zoomed, but I’m pretty sure this heinous individual that claims to be a First Sergeant, is wearing an NCO Dress Blues waist plate, if he were actually a First Sergeant, than his Dress Blues waist plate would be different. An NCO waist plate has the Eagle, Globe and Anchor centered on it, the SNCO waist plate has an ornamental wreath design surrounding the Eagle, Globe and Anchor. Also, first 15 seconds of the video… The Eagle, Globe and Anchor on the right breast of his coat is backwards… Anchor points in boss, never out.

First of all I would like to say sorry to the Marines for such a slap to the face. I served in the Army, but it’s not about what branch you served in for you are my brother. This was pure out disrespect to all who serve or have served including the ones that have given their lives. These guys undoubtedly never even went to basic but yet call themselves Marines much less RECON. Then, he calls 1ST SGT by SGT which is a no go in any branch including reserves and guard. The term Top is only used if the 1ST SGT allows it, for it could be a sign of disrespect since he earned the rank. It’s at his discretion as it should be. Not cool. Immature and disrepectful people really aggravate me. The lack of common courtesy. Try not to be too hard on MM, they showed their support and when it was noted that these guys were impostors, they did the right thing. They should check but they shouldn’t have to. Good luck to all and Godspeed.

Yea… WHO is the guy on the left, why isnt he being blasted too?

Whoa!

just….. just….. bad….. i love the pants on the left…. not even the correct dress pants for officers…. to my understanding they wear white pants in dress blue Alphas

“Dress whites” are the prescribed summer dress uniform for Staff NCOs and Officers, Dress Blues (blue trousers with blood stripe) are the prescribed winter dress uniform, so which trousers we wear depends on the time of year. The are also instances where junior enlisted rate them, such as being posted at 8th and I in DC, The Silent Drill team, etc. Doesn’t change the fact both these douche buckets are fake as hell.

Turd.

Clown looks like one of those funny looking ferret creatures at the pet store.

Maggot.

What the hell.
Did the 1st Shirt shrink since his fitting?
Both his trousers and blouse are ate up.
Ya might want to borrow a uniform from someone closer to your size.

WOW! Wtf I was in NjROTC back in 83-86 and can say I looked better than this dude. I’m sitting at work lmao at those sleeves.

Camacho looks familiar. I think you busted him before. OK, I just found the TAH posts from April 4 and 15, 2012 with the same guy. Is this video new? Is he still posing after getting caught last year?

Sparks

I was in the Army. But I saw enough sharp dressed Marines to know these two ain’t them. It is unbelievable the degree to which some men will go to get money and attention. They should both be ashamed…but I know they aren’t. God bless all the true Marines who have served and are serving now. You deserve better than these ass wipes stealing your valor and service.

@64 – My bad. I saw this on my Facebook this morning and thought it was new. I see now it was originally posted last year. Probably reappeared today because someone else added a comment this morning. At least I remembered seeing this phony POS before.

64 – Sparks, they never even went after the other guy. The other guy looked like shit too. Focus was strictly on Camacho it seems.

Camacho of course has vanished and hasnt been seen since.

Yep, the 3rd Lt on the left there sure has a shitload of medals and ribbons for a guy without a hashmark. Might want to get a Sam Browne belt, too, while he’s at it.
