Jason Truitt; phony SEAL

| January 29, 2012

AverageNCO sent us a link to the Cortez Journal which tells the story of Jason Truitt who claims to be a Navy SEAL who had been a POW in Afghanistan and wounded countless times. All of which earned him a free hunting trip and a Weatherby rifle;

It was a harrowing seven tours. He was shot 11 times. He was declared missing in action, twice a prisoner of war. Once he was MIA for two months and 14 days.

He was tortured and disfigured. He was shot in the stomach, requiring several feet of his intestines to be removed. His tattooed skin is covered in scars. He has vision in only one eye.

But he never entered a combat situation that he didn’t want to.

“I’ve been through a lot, bro,” he said bluntly. “It’s kind of hard to talk about.”

According to our buddy, Captain Larry Bailey, who himself spent 27 years as a SEAL and now spends his time busting phoney SEALS, tells us that it’s even harder to talk about when you’re “100% fake”. What set off bells for me was that I went to the publicy available list of POWs and MIAs at DoD and he wasn’t listed – that’s the same thing that the author of the story could have done.

“What’s the hardest thing about being in the military, people ask me. I simply tell them, coming home. You go through all of these Christmas’s sitting in a foxhole and getting mortared, and people are back home eggnoggin’ by the fire,” he said. “I’ve come to hate the holidays. Every year I have some kind of breakdown around the holidays.”

Truitt said every time he returned, the homecoming celebrations would fade after a while, and that the aftermath of his experiences as a soldier would resurface.

“You’re a hero for the first two months and then your problems set in and all of the sudden you become a burden to your family, and they realize what actually happened to you over there. It’s things that people don’t talk about and they never will talk about,” he said.

The hardest part about coming home is seeing all of the phonies stealing your valor.

Captain Bailey writes to tell us that he’s offered to help the author of the story save himself from criticism by busting Truitt publicly for his bullshit stories of daring do, so there will probably be a follow-up to this story.

havent any of you thought about the fact that he may be ill. does it take a knife sticking out of his head to see that. our military fight for all our nation that includes the sick poor widowed the common the wealthy. shame on you takeing pleasure in name calling and harsh words. and you who gave up his home address! you know who you are. the fact that he has a wife and children who live there and now may be at risk of those who want to make him pay.others who have issues of the mind. oh and dont you think the children and wife should not have to pay fot his issues.look at the big picture people! some of your comments and hatered make me question your humanity and sanity as well.

Jacobite

What, did any of us profess to having any humanity? No humanity here, only reality. Might be doing the family a service in the long run by outing this guy btw.
True humanity is to be found in truth and growth, not in shielding or perpetuating lies.

the Crazier Sister

@ #101… hon, were you born stupid or do you work at it? I mean, seriously! Let’s look at a few things here:
1)yeah, they know Truitt is sick. It takes a sick person to lie like he has and does and not care how it affects others. He also doesn’t appear to care how it affects his family.
2) his family is “at risk” (if they even are) because of him, not these gents! The sort of people who would like to “make him pay” don’t have the native intelligence it would take to do a word search, let alone a google search, to find this site and get his address (oh, and, let’s not forget his family was shown on local t.v. news… I don’t hear you castigating THEM like you did these good folks who, I might add, protected – and protect – your right to act like the north end of a southbound donkey’s sphincter!)
3) humanity? sanity? Hon, they’re more humane and sane than Truitt and those like him (OR you!)
and, finally,
4) do you really think signing in anonymously protects you? Hon, I knew a retired warrent officer who could have tracked your computer down in no time flat (I’ve seen him do it!) AND exposed who you are and WHERE you are to everyone here. You don’t think his counterpart lurks on this site? You don’t think one of these men has the ability to find you just because you posted as “anonymous?” I have a feeling if we opened your skull, removed your brain and balanced it on the edge of a razor blade, it would look like a BB on a four lane freeway!

p.s., “castigate: transitive verb: to subject to severe punishment, reproof, or criticism” …I didn’t think you’d really know what it meant so I’m giving you your lesson for the day.

yes he lied and the reason behind one wont really know for awhile. but hes not the only one who screwed up. if reporters whould have checked his background we wouldent be on this subject at all.you all are ichen for a lenchen.its sad that he did put this crap on his family. but you all are more than ready to fan the fire.giving out his address does in my eyes set his family up for more harm by coldblodded people set on hatred and revenge. he will get his punishment.it is a disgrace to our military.but but you all only have a peice of the puzzle.yet you judge with you hatred and insults.crazysister i bet you got the rope.dont ya.

Scott

>yes he lied and the reason behind one wont really know for awhile

We know why. He wanted to make himself sound like a badass, he wanted attention and sympathy, and he wanted free stuff that he hadn’t earned. It’s not really a mystery.

> if reporters whould have checked his background we wouldent be on this subject at all.

Yeah, he would have continued telling his lies and stealing from people. Let’s not pretend for a second that this turd would have come forward, confessed his lies and made good had people who know better not seen his face in the news, and smelled his bullshit.

>he will get his punishment.

I really, truly hope that the NRA and Hunts for Heroes sues his miserable ass back to the stone age, he gets locked up for possession of a firearm as a felon, and he has ample time to reflect on his lying, conniving, thieving existence in a 6 x 8 cell.

big picture

there crazer sister. is that better. i dont care about your threats. we all have connections dont we? not shaken by ya. i would suggest an anger management class. and oh ya come my way you will be met with my very close friend.ya know we citizens all have a right to protect our brains.some are smart enough to even be lisenced to keep our friends close by.god bless our troops and vets truly , but as well the rest of the us citizens.i would like to think the right to protect the innocent, like the family of a sick impersonater is important and.and the reality is that humanity is just as important as integrity.something a solder would bear. withc you have none. im so sorry you missed out on that.

Yat Yas 1833

@107 Big picture, You talk about “I don’t care about your threats” yours don’t scare anyone else. My ‘close friend’ is a Colt model 1911A1 .45 side arm, so there. No one here would even THINK about doing any harm to his family. If I should, through some Godly miracle, wind up in Bakersfield and meet this douchenozzle, I’d beat him senseless. His family? I’d take then to Golden Corral.

Crazier Sister

At so-called big picture…. MmphsnrksnortLAAAAAAAUGH!! (wipes tears of amusement from eyes). That wasn’t a “threat,” you ill-educated twit! It was a statement of anonymous’s lack of brain power. YOU’RE the one making threats with your “meet my friend” remark. And I’ll bet you don’t have a single one in existence (and I doubt you’ll get the innuendo). You must now spend 5 minutes in the Penalty Box for unnecessary stupidity. Feel shame.
As for anonymous, the more you post, the more you show your lack of understanding. As I told someone in a previous post, however, this is how you (and not-so-big picture) get your jollies. Stirring up others. I’m done with this one. Oh, btw, I don’t have to hold the rope. He’s already (figuratively speaking) hung himself. There is NO excuse for leeching off the hard-earned reputation of others. Something I doubt you understand since you’re defending him (even tho’ you have that right).

Crazier Sister

One more thing @ not-very-big picture… Pal, everyone gets angry over punks like Truitt. But I never once made rude, derogatory or degrading comments about his family. I feel sorry for them (unless it’s proven they backed up his lies, in which case I’ll save my sympathy for those who deserve it). I’m dramatic. Learn the difference. And, point your threats elsewhere. I’m not impressed. To quote the immortal John Wayne “you’ve gotta be a man before you can be a gentleman.” You, buster, are no gentleman. (and I doubt you’ll get that, either)

Yat Yas 1833

@109 crazier sister, “That’s funny. I don’t care who you are”. Who are these people who will defend this douchenozzle, I’m not sure a ‘douchenozzle’ is such a bad thing (it goes in a good place!?), but a butt plug…I’m not making a threat, I’m making a pledge. Him? Dog meat. His family? Dinner and a movie! Is there a ‘Golden Corral’ in Bakersfield? I haven’t been there in YEARS!

NHSparky

Crazier–why would you punish the family by taking them to Golden Corral? Haven’t they suffered enough?

and @101 anon (and wherever else you’re posting)…acquaint yourself with a simple yet profound expression which applies not only to Truitt, but to you as well (assuming you’re NOT Truitt):

“Play stupid games, win stupid prizes.”

Hondo

Anonymous (105): blame the messenger rather than the offender. Classic. Well, classic bullshit anyway.

“big picture”: Actually, the “big picture” here – which you, despite your inappropriate screen bane, just don’t get – is that this jerkwad defamed all honorable veterans. He also defrauded a charity and, if he’s a convicted felon, violated Federal law.

Sow the wind, reap the whirlwind. Whatever this idiot gets he brought down on himself.

And he deserves every bit of it.

TheOneCalledDoc

@ all the anons and other “how dare you judge him” types. Your obviously not familiar with military service or the sacrafices associated with service so you really have no room to talk here. You don’t see me talking about c*ck suckin and living like a Dbag so you stay in your lane and we’ll stay in ours.

Its as simple as the guys and gals above me pointed out. He is a conviced fellon, who unlawfully accepted, possesed, and discharged a firearm, defrauded civilians into personal donations/gifts, and accepted monitary donations from the NRA.

As for my personal opinion: His family is porbably as worthless as he is. Lets face it, we have heard from several people who have known him for years and all of them said that none of this bull shit is a suprise to them. Meaning, either his blind and deaf or bought her ticket to get on the Titanic knowing full and well that it was headed for an iceberg. I do feel a little sorry for them but frankly, trash marries trash and give birth to trash.

Gratefully serving

..and they say that stolen valor is a victimless crime; “freedom of speech”. So much for the charity (and its contributors) honoring a military servicemember with a complementary firearm, trip, and expenses. From never serving Janitors being a MOH recepiant to booted airmen wearing CCT getup and ribbons up to his ear lobes..on post no less, this needs to stop. You go to jail for impersonating a law enforcement, for pretending to be a contractor, imatating a doctor, …c’mon lets restore a little honor and integrity within our boarders folks.

AWF2USN

This idiot… I cant believe it. What an eyesore…Why do people claim stuff that they are not. I never understood what drives people to do these kinds of things and make other people feel bad about actions or events that never have happened to them. But I guess that’s a criminals instinct, to be manipulative.
He was in the navy and got kicked out as an AIRMAN E-1.-FAIL He is wearing an E-6 insignia and a Trident both of which he did not earn. He got a free rifle and $500 and got his gas paid to go out to the VET Hunt. And yes he is a convicted fellon, a Theif and has been to prision in California (if my memory serves me right) And I really do hope he gets caught and Serves even more time. He is a convicted fellon with a Firearm.

I was wondering what Fred Durst has bedn doing since his Limp Bizkit days.

Who won the Cock Inhaler vs. Truitt round last August?? For that matter, who won the “Fecal Four” contest? Maybe that should be “lost”…?
