MP arrested for spying in AK
TT sends us a link from Reuters which discusses the arrest of a Military Police officer stationed in Alaska for espionage.
Specialist William Colton Millay, 22, was taken into custody at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson on October 28 following a joint espionage investigation by the FBI and Army Counterintelligence special agents, Army spokesman Lt. Col. Bill Coppernoll said.
The article doesn’t say who Millay was spying for or against, or what an MP has access to that would interest a foreign governemnt.
Sorry, but I have the impulse to do a happy dance because he’s an MP.

I don’t give a shit if they were spying for spongebob; if found guilty; life in front of a firing squad.
What OT said. And please do resist that dancing impulse!
Damn… now I have an image in my head of you doing a John Travolta scene in a disco under the strobe lights.
Why do I get the feeling he’ll be sentenced and serving hard time before Manning? Oh, right–not a member of a protected class. Maybe.
@3 – More likely because his case could be far more cut and dry. My organization has provided a small contribution to what is an enormous and ongoing investigation into Manning’s activities. His pre-trial confinement is likely to last even longer as more discovery is made and the case against him is built. Just because a subject is gay doesn’t mean that there is a big gay conspiracy afoot.
CI says: “Just because a subject is gay doesn’t mean that there is a big gay conspiracy afoot.”
True, unless they were spying for spongebob 🙂
@5 – On that, you’re absolutely correct!
Wow this is the first I have heard anything of it.
@ CI I don’t think they were talking about the Gay protected class, I think they meant the liberal protected class.
Easy on Spongebob! I heard tale he was on Marine, a radioman working for Cpt. Kangaroo on Iwo.
I thought Spongebob would be more of a SpecOps type, after all, he is always hanging around with that Secret Squirrel and Ninja Star….
He’ll get no mercy or sympathy from me, that’s for damn sure. I bet he gets prosecuted long before Manning does though and can understand why, since building the Manning case is likely to be much more time consuming. As for this other one, fry his butt. Whatever he had access to, must have been of real interest to someone, somewhere?
“Sorry, but I have the impulse to do a happy dance because he’s an MP.”
😛
“Sorry, but I have the impulse to do a happy dance because he’s an MP.” Very first thought in my head.
Okay you guys! Is this pick on all MP’s night or what? NOT all of us are rotten apples, sheesh….
