Kokesh in remake of “Footloose”

| May 31, 2011

Yes, he’s finally found an issue that can get him back his former glory which he lost when he quit associating with IVAW. It’s right out of “Footlose” – Adam Kokesh is the new Ren McCormick and Suzie Benjamin will be at his side as the latest Ariel. I wonder if they’ll cast John Lithgow as the Park Police.

Yes it’s an important issue – should ritarded anti-war charlatans be allowed to dance at the Jefferson Memorial? Oh, I found this link, thanks to Bev Perlson who sent it from the Daily Paul – the home of Kokesh lovers and associated with the OathKeepers. Toss in Code Pink and there’s a perfect circle. IVAW, Code Pink, Ron Paul and Oathkeepers.

Kokesh says to his fawning Moscovite groupie at about 4:00: “We’re going to stick it to them again.”

Good for you, sport. But don’t piss and moan like a whiny nancy when they grab you by your panties AGAIN and introduce you to the deck AGAIN.

Since we are a nation of laws, shouldn’t you fight your legal fights in the courts? Oh, that’s right. Your buddies already lost TWICE in the courts on this issue. What’s the definition of insanity?

Yeah. Doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different outcome?

Guess we know who’s insane.

so so ghey……..silent dancing? meh, those cops should have slam danced him a little harder.

Cliff Kincaid article on this fiasco.

@ #1- In retrospect it is too bad they weren’t being arrested by Coast Guard PSU…heh!

Seriously? They can’t DANCE in a public place? Yeah, this is really a free country. Don’t freakin lie to yourself. When a person can get arrested just for dancing, we have moved to a sad new low.

streetsweeper

Say what, AinJ? Did you not read Kincaid’s article?

A U.S. District Court has ruled that the Park Service has a substantial interest in promoting a “tranquil environment” at national memorials and can forbid activities that interfere with that atmosphere. The law is not intended to interfere with free speech, but to protect the rights of families to appreciate the solemn nature of the memorials.

The video clearly shows a police officer warning the “dancers” that demonstrations, including dancing, would get them arrested.

A series of email exchanges on the controversy at the Jefferson Memorial produced this response from an attorney about the way Kokesh was handled: “He was not arrested for dancing. He was engaged in an act of disorderly conduct. He was requested to cease and desist several times and did not. He intentionally provoked the Park Police to where he gave them no option but to restrain him. He resisted and got exactly what he was attempting to make happen. Where are your concerns for the innocent people attending with their families? How about their rights to attend and not have their rights infringed upon by this intentional act of disturbing the peace of another. I am afraid that I might have been a little more physical than the Park Police with this jerk.”

I know better to believe you are not able to read an article.

The innocent families had their rights infringed upon by some silent dancing? To call that disorderly conduct is a joke. And I have to agree with Kokesh that the disturbance the police caused was way greater than the one Kokesh supposedly caused with some silent dancing. Next thing you know, we won’t be allowed to dance in our front lawns because it will be causing a disturbance.

UpNorth

Nope, Code Stink and Kokesh and the rest created the disturbance, they were warned and could have walked away, they freely chose not to. So, they got what they were seeking all along. Again, read the post from Streetsweeper, and pay close attention to the bold print.
I’d hope that in the future, these mental midgets try this at the USS Arizona memorial. That way, they can get a bath prior to being booked into the closest jail.

Hey, whats wrong with Ron Paul?

Doc Bailey

Jax, its not so much the dancing as the disrespect of a national icon. this whole thing was a joke, a funny har har, “we can do whatever we want, because we have ‘rights'” here’s a thought, if you have a legitimate gripe, and want to protest something, how about you get a permit for said protest, because it’s a nuance and hassle for everybody. Freedom of Speech has limits.

NHSparky

Hey, whats wrong with Ron Paul?

How long you got?

Doc Bailey

I never got the appeal of Ron Paul. The man has said or done nothing to add to the national debate, and more often than not is a crackpot

Old Trooper

Doc says: Freedom of Speech has limits.

So true, Doc, and those limits seem to be getting tighter every day. I’m not talking about Susie dancing with that gay blade, but rather other areas where we have “hate speech” which is a label thrown on things that “offend” the sensibilities of someone else, yet who decides what is “hate speech” and what gets put on that list is added to all the time. We are going down a path that wasn’t part of the founders intentions, but people seem to want to ignore it, or aren’t that concerned, because they think that it will only go this far and no further, yet it continues to creep along. Now we have law enforcement given powers way beyond what anyone thought would be proper in our understanding of our 4th Amendment rights. TSA groping rings a bell, same with Indiana now letting the police walk into your home without a warrant just because they want to. I’ve heard people say “that’s ok, because we need to be safe” (re: TSA groping) and “I dont’ have a problem with it, because the cops need to be able to get the bad guys” (re: entering your house without knocking or a warrant in Indiana). Where do we stop? Where is the end? When government agencies have infinitely more power than her citizens, we stop being citizens and become subjects. If that’s the case; why the hell did we fight a war for independence?

Old Trooper

Doc; this is what I’m talking about in my above post:

OldTrooper,

In response to your post in #13, I have to say that I rescind any previous statements that may have been said to you because I now think you’re a genius 😉
