Draft Americans’ Daughters Act
Stars & Stripes reports that Republican representatives Duncan Hunter and Ryan Zinke, Hunter a former Marine and Zinke a former Navy SEAL, wasted no time crafting the Draft Americans’ Daughters Act to fully integrate females into the military service. The bill would require draft-aged women to register for conscription ninety days after bill is signed by the President.
“If this administration wants to send 18, 20-year-old women into combat, to serve and fight on the front lines, then the American people deserve to have this discussion through their elected representatives,” Hunter said in a released statement.
I am opposed to a draft, speaking as a former platoon sergeant, but hey, since everyone wants to be equal these days…. Women should take the bad things about equality with the good.
Jimmy Carter reinstituted the draft in 1979 to respond to the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan, just seven years after Richard Nixon presided over the last draft lottery. The hippies filed a law suit that they thought would end the selective service by demanding that women should be drafted, too, souring Americans on the whole idea (remember this was in the days of the Equal Rights Amendment).
In 1981, the Supreme Court in Rostker v. Goldberg decided that since women were excluded from combat, there was no compelling reason for Congress to draft them. Well, that restriction has been lifted now that the social justice warriors have prevailed in the halls of the Pentagon.
I’m surprised that the social justice warriors aren’t lining up behind this – it’s all about equality and it probably won’t affect any of them – the same reasons they wanted the policy changed.
And the service chiefs recommended the change to draft policy just a few days ago.

The SJWs haven’t caught wind of it just yet.
When they do, the howling and screeching will be deafening.
Brace yourselves for it!
Ex-PH2 knows me.
This guy Jack, knows his Shit. Seems a fun guy to have beers with.
It was all fun and games when it was someone else’s life on the line, huh?
I can’t wait for all the Ivy League cry babies to wrap their heads around this.
Ah, selective service, protests, tear gas, attacks on ROTC–what’s past is prologue. It’s just that I thought I would be history before I saw the likes of that again. Laodin’ up on the popcorn.
Word Bother…Word!
Sorry…I meant BROTHER…not Bother 2/17 Air Cav.
Yeah, and I meant Loadin’ not Laodin.’ Hey, I think we’ve been at this long enough that those types of things go w/o saying.
Equal under the law should mean just that, if you want equal access then equal responsibility should be part and parcel of the experience.
VOV knows me.
It will be a hoot and a half watching all the SJW wombyns getting a case of the vapors when they see all the penalties for NOT registering with the SS. Not eligible for a government job. Not eligible for federal student loans and grants. Not eligible for federal work/study programs at college, etc.
I’ll be calling my congress critters today to urge them to support this bill.
They better not come here with their vapors. They’ll find out what a REAL SJW looks like. I’ll hand ’em their *sses on a platter, because I believe with all my heart that women need to register for the draft. If you’re a citizen of this country and eligible, you should have to register for a draft. Why? Because the next war is not going to have ‘fronts’; it’s going to be everybody’s war. If I wasn’t so g*ddam old, I’d go register today! I might anyway…just to say I did. 🙂
You’re my kind of woman. 🙂
I know there’s this idea that SJWs will whine and cry about this, and despite my liberal leanings I’m not fan of SJWs, … but of the two whom I talk with regularly, both are fine with this. They have zero problems with women being included in the draft.
That runs counter to the narrative here, but I’d be curious to see if anyone has links to some SJW who is decrying this. Not that I don’t think there isn’t a sole idiot out there, but I think they are a small minority.
Just my two cents. I’m all fine with women being a part of the draft, but the bill should’ve had a better name, in my opinion. Equal Draft Act, maybe? Right now, they’re just going for maximum psychological effect, and it seems its more out of annoyance than anything else.
What will end up happening instead is that the Selective Service System as a whole will be scrapped.
Which assuming we are willing to take the risk of not having it around wouldn’t be the worst idea. We spend $23M of our tax dollars on it every year.
I disagree. I’d bet their budget will increase to over a billion annually to cover all the “extra” bureaucracy they’ll need to deal with.
Its okay though, I’m sure they’ll just take a billion away from the DoD budget to cover it, or from the VA’s budget.
BWHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAA. . ..
Laughing like a maniac here.
Yep. If the Feminazis and SJWs want all the perks and bennies that come with “equal opportunity”, then they also need to sign up for “equal responsibility”. Themselves too.
And that includes la-de-dah-dee everybody. Kongress Kritter’s kids included. NO exemptions. None. Everybody registers.
Doesn’t mean you’ll get called up and drafted, but it will put a whole new slant on your observation of the warmongering goings-on in Mordor-on-the-Potomac. Maybe it will slow down the wartalk from Sauron Hussain O’Bozo when it’s his own constituency on the line. Maybe even his own daughters. Now THERE’S a thought to warm the cockles of the heart!
I FU**KIN’ LOVE IT WHEN THE LEFT EAT THEIR OWN!!!!
B Woodman knows me.
Yep. Good to see you again, Jack. How ya doin’?
The Immutable Law of Unintended Consequences has just been brought into play.
If it happens, it’d be in a form of a “revision” to the current draft law. For example, a military related bill that’d include a statement about adding “female” right next to “male” in the applicable sections of the selected service law regarding the draft/induction process. Or, they could simply strike male out and replace it with “adults” or “personnel” or some other gender neutral word.
At the same time, or later, 10 U.S. Code 311 could also see a revision, in the form of adding “females” after “males”, or a revision using the words “personnel” or “adults” in place of “male”, and dropping “and of female citizens of the United States who are members of the National Guard” from the first paragraph.
Sometime after that, state militia law could follow suite in states that don’t include women in the unorganized state militia.
How does that old saying go “Be Careful What You Wish For”:
http://www.nj.com/morris/index.ssf/2015/07/should_women_be_required_to_register_for_the_draft.html
Someone else’s life exactly. I didn’t want women to have to serve in combat arms MOS’. It wasn’t an equal rights issue. It was an “I’ve done it and I don’t want my daughter to have to do it” issue for me. Now, again, I’m impacted by beliefs that I don’t agree with. And not just differences of opinion but beliefs that impact the lives of my children and that pisses me off.
This is why I voted for Hunter. He calls bullshit.
I honestly thought that Jonn had himself named the bill “Draft American’s Daughters Act.” It’s actually called that–which tells me everything I need to know about the sponsors’ sincerity in wanting the bill passed. Bill naming is an art, usually done to dupe us presumed dopes into thinking that a bill’s name actually reflects the bill’s content when, in fact, a bill’s content is often at odds with its title.
I’m actually all for this. The majority of Americans are oblivious to the women in combat thing Obama and the sjw’s are ramming through. This should bring the issue front and center when women are told if they don’t register like men then the suffer the same consequences. If they complain point right back at Obama
Unfortunately, the Republicans will get blamed for anything and everything that’s negative to do with this bill, because of Hunter and Zinke sponsoring it. The Left will screech about ‘hatred of women’ and use it for political affect. I’d be really curious to find out whose idea this was, because it is going to play right into the hands of the progressives — and, as usual, the conservatives involved appear to be blind and tone deaf.
Should be an easy fix.
On the reverse side of the Social Security Account Number card a small disclaimer that states:
*Greetings from the President of the United States. With the issuance of this card, you are hereby notified that you have completed registration with the Selective Service.*
Have a nice day and a nice life. Don’t call us, we’ll call you.
No registration? No tax refund. No federal student loan. Outstanding loans immediately foreclosed. No federal job and, if on board all ready, suspension pending registration. let’s throw in no federal park access while we’re at it. Golly. What fun is this!
Word.
The situation we have now is straight up federally mandated gender discrimination. If a male fails to register his PII in the federal SSS database in the required time, he is guilty of a felony punishable by up to 5 years in prison and a $250k fine even though the other gender(s) have no registration requirement.
Replace “male” with “Muslim”, “Asian-American”, or “transgender” in that last sentence and watch the heads start exploding, which they should, because mandated discrimination like that is completely F’d up.
Television restricted to C-Span I, II & III until the registration is complete !!!
Unfortunately, the Constitution has a very clear definition of “cruel and unusual punishment” being prohibited. I think this would fall in line with that.
Waiting for L. Taylor on 3…2…1
Well timed.
If this were not just politically motivate bullshit I would think it was progress. But this is just a temper tantrum over the administration ordering the opening of combat roles to women.
We should have a legitimate and informed discussion on the need and nature of the draft.
But that is not going to happen with the current state of right wing politics.
You should be embarrassed at the actions of these two who are acting like petulent children in a political sandbox.
Men and women should be treated equally under the law, so I guess I should just be happy that a few on the right agree for once even if they are just doing it because of a political temper tantrum.
I’ll bet real money that your favorite sound in all the world is that of your own voice, cockfuck.
“I’ll bet real money…”
Ok. I will take your bet. How much ‘real money’?
Let’s go with $600.
And then I will tell you what my favorite sound is.
I bet $100 that you won’t take my bet or that you won’t pay up when you lose.
Keep saying one thing while demonstrating the opposite, you poor insecure attention whore. You make it too easy.
But when you vote for Bernie and he becomes president Lars, you’ll have to give him at least 400 of that so he can make everything “free”.
Putting women in the Infantry is politically-motivated bullshit. Why not respond in kind?
PS, you’re still a dickhead.
No, it is not politically motivated bullshit.
It is intended to try to reach a point where people are treated equally under the law.
This is especially necessary when the military is essentially our only well financed program for social opportunity and women are precluded from maximizing that benefit since they are precluded from some of the branches and schools that lead to the greatest long term career success on average in the military.
And you stand out as someone that first made me realize there were some serious mentally deficient assholes on this site long before my first post. In fact I think one of my very first posts was directed at your idiocy.
You don’t know me AT ALL Commissar.
JS, you’re my hero. Keep up the good work!
Thanks, and yes, YOU know me, AW1Ed!! ?
“It is intended to try to reach a point where people are treated equally under the law.”
If you truly believe that Lars, then any credibility I have given you just went up in smoke. It would make you no different than the opposite ignorant member of your very polarizing belief system.
Stay intelligent Lars.
It is part of a larger political struggle.
In every place we where a protected group is not treated equally under the law it undermines efforts to gain equal treatment in other areas due to the president it sets.
Do politicians exploit that struggle for political gain?
Yes, on both sides.
But if we truly believe in a free and equal society then we need to address these kinds of disparities because they are used to bolster legal arguments and create legal precedent used to undermine equal treatment for any targeted group. And one day you or one of your children or ancestors may belong to that targeted/oppressed/suppressed group.
I do not believe women and men a physiologically the same. But I do believe they should be treated the same to the maximum extent possible under the law.
If women are physiologically less capable of being infranty then men then fewer women will succeed at it. As long as the system does treats them equally.
Equal under the law does not mean equal outcomes but it should mean at least equal access to opportunity to the extent possible under the structures of our system.
You don’t know me, Commissar.
Thank you for continuing to prove my point, limp-dick. If putting girls in the infantry is about equality, then so is female draft eligibility. You just don’t like it because it’s pushed by a Republican who also happens to be a combat infantry vet. Deny it all you want, but you know it’s true. Your lack of integrity is astounding.
“Protected group” ha. Its funny you don’t see the irony when you talk.
Yeah, Lars is full of shit. I wouldn’t spend much time on him. He’s a fucking political hack. And you have to break things down Barney style for him to understand anything. He’s so dumb I’d be surprised if he knew the difference between a sneeze and a wet fart. Although, he’s a legend in his own mind.
I am neither dumb nor a political hack.
Then why do you keep acting like textbook examples of both?
BWAHAHAHAHAHA !!!!!
Ignore what he posts… I can tell everyone here the truth… I AM A POLITICAL HACK!!!
LARS McPoodle Dick, the United States Military exists for ONE REASON and ONE REASON only, to protect and defend the United States of America and her interests, IT IS NOT meant to be some “Huggy-kissy-warm-fuzzy-everyone-gets a-ahug-and-a-trophy” Outward Bound kind of experience, try to get through your Smurf-hugging cotton candy-brained head. I once thought I’d try to see things from your point of view and quickly realized that THERE IS NO WAY I could put my head THAT FAR up my ass, you wield your stupidity and feeble arrogance as fast as Chuck Norris wields his fists and feet!
Let me know when we start using the military for only that one purpose and that one purpose only.
And if a female is able to perform the duties as well as her male counterparts then she should be allowed to serve.
Your entire argument is premised on the notion that all males are better than all females at combat arms.
That is flat bullshit. I guarantee I have served with far better female soldiers than you ever were.
There is absolutely nothing fair about combat. By definition if a commander isn’t taking advantage of every weakness of his enemy he needs to be relieved. Line up 1,000 men and 1,000 women and the men will kill them in small unit infantry combat every time. Not hand picked, but straight of the street. That is the standard of warfare. Anything else and we’re just going ourselves.
And with the equality being enforced on the military that’s all we’re doing. Fooling ourselves.
No, by creating standards and filing those positions with the best qualified regardless of gender we are creating a stronger army.
The question is not whether 1000 men would be better than 1000 women.
The question is are there women who would perform better than some of the men we are recruiting right now? If opening the job up to women allows for more recruits competing for the same number of jobs then the minimum standard will be higher and we have better soldiers overall.
As long as we truly treat men and women equally.
And what about after those first 1,000 are dead and the next 1,000 are sent to take there place?
You do not know me, Commissar.
I wasn’t addressing just the issue of gender and I don’t agree with your assumptions even on that point, but you have a right to your opinion.
…but I still deal with active duty troops on a daily basis and some of them are women. The standards are not the same and the political pressure at the ground level is suffocating.
Lars Mc Poodledick, you’re more full of shit than ten million geese! Unlike YOU, I’ve served as a “Line Doggie” in Combat Arms units and I’ve done my fair share. I’ve seen plenty of Troops both male and female that were excellent all the way to dirtbags, but GUESS WHAT o candyassed overeducated sugarbritches? MEN AND WOMEN ARE DIFFERENT in more ways than one. Take the US Army’s Medium Girder Bridge (MGB, also known as the Mean Green Bitch) where the lower panels weigh 350 pounds apiece and are carried by four personnel at once until latched and the upper panels are 250 lbs and are lifted above the head for assembly. doing just one span gives one more physical activity than a heavy duty seeion in the weightroom, how well will Women be able to endure that kind of physical exertion? Look at the load a Light Infantryman has to carry on a ruck march or Field Exercise and try to tell me that any Woman could do the same o over-educated Smurf-kisser! Old Jack Shit is RIGHT, you DON’T know him!
4 people carrying a 250-pound load comes to 62.5 pounds of load per person. That’s not particularly heavy. Simple powerlifting training can provide acclimation for that. Ditto the 350lb. girder: almost 90 pounds each, prep for it by power lifting training. That’s not so hard, API.
What matters more is the height of each person in this train. If one of them is substantially shorter than the rest, it presents a problem: it throws the load off-balance.
Height is a factor used in determining who does what in assembling one of those and the tallest are assigned upper panel assembly, shorter ones lower panels (350 lbs apiece) and so on. It’s very hard and heavy work.
Lars, where is the proof that you served? Just send a copy of your discharge papers (W/redacted PII) to TAH admin. If you were an officer? You are type that is assinged perament Officer of Day.
I was a better soldier… especially when I wore pumps and a skirt!
How did you serve with them? What was their MOS. I’ve known many WMs, but never knew one that had an Infantry MOS and certainly none in MARSOC.
I do know that on Bragg, we have few females integrated into certain minor SOF MOSs such as CA and they suffer more injuries in training per capita than their male counterparts. The training is above that expected in many MOSs, but nothing compared to operational expectations physically or psychologically.
Right-it’s not like we haven’t known for a long time that females will suffer injuries at a much higher rate than males when subjected to similar physical stresses. But that’s just so much “badthink” to those pushing all of this. They only care about “science” is when they can use it to further their agenda.
I am so thankful you were are no longer serving. It is clear you were a liability to your unit which is why the CSM had to babysit you and you were assigned to be his driver.
LARS, I honestly bet that I HAVE MORE time squatting over a cat hole or a slit trench in the boonies than you do total time in the field PERIOD!! I bet I have more missions outside the wire under my belt in the Middle East than you have days spent outside you AC-addicted TOCroach!
You know me, API.
I cried all of the time when my unit CO and CSM made me do things that I didn’t like…. that’s why I became an ossifer!!!
I am not saying that all CSM drivers are bad soldiers. Some are selected precisely because they are squared away and they are being groomed for leadership.
Especially when private is squared away and they intend to make him a corporal. Taking him out of his platoon as a driver for a while allows him to return to the platoon as a corporal without it being disruptive because it breaks him from he peer group and social circle before he returns to lead a team as a corporal.
But that is not what happened to you. They assigned you as supply and later as a driver, while you were a specialist. So you lost a great deal of time in you MOS performing you job and developing leadership skills when you were an E4, the exact time you should have been developing those skills. It is clear they did not see you as a leader.
And you inability to see anyone not like yourself as part of you in-group is likely why. You do not respect women, you do not respect people that do not share your religion, and I bet if we got to know you we would find you do not respect people of different ethnic groups than you as well.
I’M RIGHT, you do not know me, Commissar.
You don’t like E-8 Moerk… that’s why I hate all of you here!!!
“blah blah blah and you’re a racist”. Followed the leftwing/SJW script down to the syllable. If anything, Lars, you are consistent.
Do you stay up late at night thinking of this stuff?
Dontcha just love it when Lars the poodle contradicts himself?
Here http://valorguardians.com/blog/?p=64183&cpage=1#comment-2793435
he says ‘If this were not just politically motivate bullshit’ (note HIS misspellings)
And yet, here: http://valorguardians.com/blog/?p=64183&cpage=1#comment-2793453
he says ‘this is not politically motivated bullshit….’.
Right there, in front of GOD AND EVERYBODY! For the ENTIRE world to see, he contradicts himself IN SPADES!
Lars, you toy poodle, go eat a bag of gummi dicks.
i can’t help if you lack the reading comprehension to realize those two statements were directed at two different things.
We can’t help it if you’re a barely-literate hypocrite who can’t keep his own bullshit straight.
Actually, Taylor – the two are logically directly related.
In the first case, you called a proposed law requiring women to register for the draft on equal terms with men “political bullshit”. Yet in the latter, you claim that allowing women to serve in all military specialties on the same terms as men “is not political bullshit”.
Logically, the former is a direct consequence of the latter. So either both are political BS – or neither are.
Predictable. Expecting consistency from you is like King Canute expecting the tide to obey him.
Yes, Hunter is playing politics with the bill’s title – but not with the content. Your political camp does the same all the time. This time your “team” is the one on the receiving end. Deal with it, and quit whining.
Hondo-you are hitting he nail square on the head regarding Lars, but you are being unfair to poor King Canute. He was trying to demonstrate to his courtiers the limits of the power of the monarch by bidding the tide to stop.
In other words, Canute knew he was full of crap-not so Lars.
68W58: I think the two situations are quite similar. Canute knew full well the tide would ignore him. I know full well not to expect consistency from Taylor the Infallible. After all, as he keeps reminding us he’s one of die Übermenschen. He went to Berkeley!
Hell, I suspect Taylor often knows he’s full of it, too. He just isn’t willing to admit he’s wrong – or for some deep psychological reason, can’t.
Ah, well. His life, his choices. We can only try and point out to him it’s a bad idea to go through life behaving like an arrogant jerk with delusions of adequacy. We can’t force him to change.
Hondo and 68W58 know me, Commissar DOESN’T.
Lars’ hubris precludes him from understanding your logic. He is a political hack. Pure and simple.
Me thinks men and women having to register for selective service would be treating people equally.
Bingo. Give that man a cigar.
And yet, someone above calls a law explicitly requiring women to register for the draft on the same terms as men “political bullsh!t” – but also claims to be in favor of equal treatment. Kinda makes you wonder.
Akpual knows me.
The military is not a place for sweeping equality in society. It is a place to effectively maintain security and when necessary, crush enemies.
The military (and other federal agencies)is discriminatory. It has to be. It discriminates against people with low IQs, defective vision, defective hearing, impaired mobility, people that under or over a certain age, etc etc.
The idea of weakening the military in the name of diversity for diversity’s sake is inappropriate.
IDC SARC knows me.
“Equal under the law.”
Let’s focus on that for a moment, shall we?
Ya see, Lars, we have these things called, “standards.” If you don’t meet the standard, you don’t get to play, whether the standards you fail to meet are mental, moral, or physical.
Now we have thus other stuff called a “budget.” That’s what most of us have to spend and no more, even in a military environment. Does it make fiscal sense to try to jam 200 monkeys into a class to find the one who can run a power plant? Nope. Nor does it make sense to jam women who have a far lower chance of success than men into a combat arms role. Fill the billets you need with the most qualified people, then let the less qualified have a crack at the remaining spots, if any.
But you already knew that, didn’t you?
Jonn, correction. Carter did not reinstitute the draft. Proclamation 4771 reinstituted the requirement that all males, at age 18, must register with the Selective Service System. Only Congress can start up the draft again.
http://www.archives.gov/federal-register/codification/proclamations/04771.html
That said, even though Hunter and Zinke don’t mean it, I believe women should register, too. Believed it when I was 18, believe it now. The draft was never about only combat positions. In times of emergency, when the nation truly needs its people to step up, that should include women.
Besides, if both male and female have to register, it automatically takes care of all those who don’t want to identify as a gender, doesn’t it?
If the registration forms were to be like those in some of today’s universities, there would be two pages of check-the=blank choices under “Gender”.
Don’t think that would bother the bureaucrats who so adore details. They could create all kinds of detailed statistics for the SJW crowd…
MAJ- You’re splitting hairs. From your link above:
The Congress of the United States has made available the funds (H.J. Res. 521, approved by me on June 27, 1980), which are needed to initiate this registration, beginning with those born on or after January 1, 1960.
NOW, THEREFORE, I, JIMMY CARTER, President of the United States of America, by the authority vested in me by the Military Selective Service Act, as amended (50 U.S.C. App. 451 et seq.), do hereby proclaim as follows:
1-1. Persons to be Registered and Days of Registration.
1-101. Male citizens of the United States and other males residing in the United States, unless exempted by the Military Selective Service Act, as amended, who were born on or after January 1, 1960, and who have attained their eighteenth birthday, shall present themselves for registration in the manner and at the time and places as hereinafter provided.
Carter also pardoned the draft dodgers on his second day in office:
http://www.abajournal.com/magazine/article/jan._21_1977_carter_pardons_vietnam-era_draft_dodgers
So-called liberals have never understood irony.
That’s correct that the Major is incorrect. The Chief Executive –in this case, President Peanut–re-instituted selective service registration BUT that takes funding–which Congress was asked for and delivered: funding authorization. It’s no wonder we don’t know this by heart any longer: for the past seven or so years, the oBaMa administration has just told Congress what he wants and, under Pelosi or under Bonehead, he’s gotten it. It’s the Great Sword (funding) that the Republicans have refused to wield against that SOB.
2/17 Air Cav knows me.
Y’all need to study a bit; I am neither wrong nor splitting hairs. Congress funded the registration. It did NOT fund a draft. It did NOT authorize a draft. No one has been drafted.
MAJ- Studying has nothing to do with it. I reread what you are actually saying, and agree that there was no ‘draft’ reinstituted back then, only the resurrection of the Selective Service. Just as the ‘Draft American Daughters Act’ does not authorize the draft of women, it only requires them to register.
Carry on…
True. Registration requirement was reinstated. The draft was under a separate law which had expired (if I remember correctly; it’s been a while). I was teaching ROTC at the time and was interviewed for a local TV show. The concern of the interviewer was that this was reinstituting the draft. I had to explain to him that there were two separate laws involved, one of which, the actual authority to draft, was no longer in force. So even if people registered, they could not legally be drafted because the law authorizing the draft no longer existed. Congress would have to go through the entire procedure of passing a new draft law. But the registration system and requirement was still in existence, just not being used. My one and only time as a guest on TV.
Then what do you do with chicks with dicks?
Chicks with dicks? Hand them a weapon and tell them to get busy with target practice. If they whine about their manicures, tell them to get busy shooting at that thing over there with the big black dot in the center.
Ask Lars.
Who cares? Anyone 18 and up, regardless being male, female, somewhere in between, confused, or wearing unicorn horns – they ALL register.
Any other answer smacks of “all are equal but some are more equal than others.” Someone wants equality, they don’t just get the perks, they gotta suck up the same lumps, too
Simple. Change 50a USC 493 as follows:
(1) delete the word “male” everywhere it appears;
(2) change each occurrence of the word “himself” to “themselves”; and
(3) change the phrase “he continues” to “they continue”.
That would make the Selective Service registration requirement universally applicable to all, regardless of gender (actual or perceived).
They are now “Persons with Penie”
Chicks with dicks is so 90’s
I am all for DADA, because equal equals equal only if equality really is equally equal.
As any right thinking SJW should know.
Well now, whose yer dada?
Someone had to go there…
Dada…

Jack Shit: I don’t know you at all when it comes to posting YouTube links.
If I had been drinking something, I’d need a new computer….
It IS a political move, but one that needs to be made.
The SJWs are trying to cherry-pick the “rights” of females without adding the responsibilities.
The American Public needs to be made aware of the ignorance of the moves being pulling by this administration that are destroying the Armed Forces ability to fight.
J.O.D. knows me.
Not my site. I’ve tipped the offering plate now and then, but not enough and not lately…I’ll correct that. Certainly not enough for what enjoyment I have had interacting with the Cadre (H/T Chevy).
JMHO: That said, I’m fed up with Lars. If I wanted to read his shit, I’d go to a Lib site. He is no value added. I can’t track what is being said on TAH that I give a shit about because whenever Lar’s shows up, the “recent comments” get pushed. I’m now just seeing who posted a comment and select from those to read. There are some of you that I always click on. Lars ain’t one one of them.
Speaking just for me, I’m dialing it back here because of Lars. Not quitting…just not as much fun when he’s around.
Lars: you and the horse you rode in on.
Yeah, sj. The guy had me daydreaming in a bad way and I figured that the animus he engendered in me wasn’t worth it–so I took off for a couple of months. I tried to abide the guy, tried to ignore him, tried this, and tried that–all to no avail. We’ll see whether the break recovery lasts for me. So far, so good.
Glad to see you back brother. You were missed. Semper Fi.
Thanks. Yeah, I missed the place–but the break did me some good.
2/17 Air Cav, you could just do what I do: engage the gigglesnortfart machine and remember that his mother could have swallowed.
The poodle is definitely not worth an elevated blood pressure level.
It would be super if the site had the ability for readers to put someone on ignore.
Pipe dream, but it would be nice.
That was a terrific option back in the “old days” of forums and message boards.
Agree with what you said, sj. Still, I’m here to read every afternoon. When the LT appears though, it’s more like skimming through instead of reading.
I’m honestly ashamed to be an independent talking to that guy sometimes. He is living reason why I will never commission… Although tbh, I’d love to see his records, cause part of me doubt’s he’s even an officer.
Most of us doubt that he ever served at all, enlisted OR orificer.
The LinkedIn profile page on Commissar clearly shows a picture of a sort of pasty faced white man with a patrol cap sporting Captain’s bars.
Lots of good info just by simply Google-Fu searching Commissar – UC Berkeley.
Yeah, and to me he looks like a skinny sourpuss with a pissy attitude on life in every pic! ?
Lars, I know you got inundated by posts, but I really would like to hear your logic for dealing with the draft for MOS’ that are affected by mass casualties and we are drafting people straight from the civilian world, giving them bare bones training, equipment and transportation to the combat area and sending them into combat without the benefit of a stringent screening process for the best person for the job.
And I don’t think you’re arguing we won’t fight another one of those wars and that the last thirty years are now the standard.
I must be one of the few people who enjoys the dog pile. He occasionally makes a good point, more often shows his ass. Many of the counter-posters seem to construe ‘fuck you’ as a counter argument, which works equally as poorly. But wen there is actual debate, it’s fun and an interesting exposure to a viewpoint I seldom see at my age. I don’t agree – but I can enjoy the fray.
I agree for the most part. My first post about Lars was that his message is overshadowed by his presentation. I think abrasive was the word I used.
Abrasive? Hell, if that was the issue, TAH would have two or three commenters. No, abrasive is a characteristic most of us display here, some of us more frequently than others, thank you very much. There’s something else going on. Hell, I don’t even mind the pomposity as much as others do, but there is something about the guy that is difficult to handle, something more than the personality behind his words. I don’t know what it is and I don’t much care. I only know that there is something in him (or something lacking in him) that makes most of us want to slap the crap out of him.
I realize abrasive is an understatement. Please don’t think I’m defending him either. I was reading when you took your sabbatical because of Lars and I totally get it. I’ve had to stay away for a couple of days myself because of some of the things he has said. I don’t understand why he comes here or what he gets from the arguments. I can’t do it.
I very often do my damnedest to treat others with respect until they give me a reason not to but Lars has made himself to me as someone I get a thrill out of every time I piss him off and I don’t hesitate to do it. He’s SO pissy and thin-skinned it’s not even funny and he’s so damn conceited it’s unbelievable!
Well Fair Is Fair Right ? ? ?
enjoy lady’s don’t worry BCT from what I’ve hear is easy as crap

This is my two cents’ worth on the matter, and then I’ll hush. When a nation goes to war, it’s women need to be involved on all levels, and not just as the thing to be protected that got left behind, and not just as the fleeing sheep caught in the crossfire. With terrorists spreading around the world, no place is safe anymore. Registration for the draft is one way to wake up the gum-smacking curvaceous cuties, and make them realize that it’s THEIR nation in crisis, THEIR lives on the line, that it’s not just another terrible, bad, ugly news report they can hide their eyes from and ignore. If signing that card and turning it in makes them think for one minute more about their responsibilities as citizens, it’s worth it. And this might also be the one thing that makes that damned ‘hyphenated American’ bullshit drop into the trashcan where it belongs.
/end of rant.
Beautifully said, Pinto Nag.
I’ve been saying that on FB all day. Everyone as a citizen will get involved, whether they like it or not.
Something I saw on FB today:
“Do you have what it takes to be a citizen? Do you want to know more?” Right from Starship Troopers.
I’d bet if you polled even Ivy league colleges today, they’d have no clue if shit goes down, they can be called up to serve as a member of the govt or military, whether they like it or not. I used to teach my students about partial, total, full mobilization rules and they didn’t have a clue either.
It is the price of living in America. If they don’t like it, they can get the fuck out.
