Alabama DA won’t prosecute woman who lost fetus after she was shot
The woman was originally charged with manslaughter for the loss of her fetus after being shot during a fight.
MONTGOMERY, Ala. — An Alabama district attorney said Wednesday she is dropping charges against a woman who was indicted for manslaughter after she lost her fetus when was shot during a fight.
Marshae Jones was arrested last week after a grand jury concluded she intentionally caused the death of her fetus by initiating a fight, knowing she was pregnant.
Jones was five months pregnant when 23-year-old Ebony Jemison shot her in the stomach during a December argument over the fetus’s father, authorities said.
Jemison was initially charged with manslaughter, but a Jefferson County grand jury declined to indict her after police said an investigation determined Jones started the fight, and Jemison ultimately fired in self-defense. Jones, 28, was indicted by the same grand jury and arrested.

Police: Man shot at Pontiac Avenue home was burglar

A man who was shot while breaking into a Pontiac Avenue home during the early-morning hours of June 27 is facing multiple charges, according to Cranston Police Maj. Todd Patalano.Brendan Anderson, 36, Cranston, is still being treated at Rhode Island Hospital, Patalano said Tuesday. He is charged with burglary, assault and disorderly conduct.
Patalano said officers responded to 1012 Pontiac Ave. at 3:10 a.m. In the home’s basement, a man in his 30s was found with a gunshot wound in the area of his upper chest and shoulder.
In the aftermath of the police response – which closed a portion of Pontiac Avenue for a time and drew widespread attention – Patalano said the two occupants of the home were cooperating with authorities. On Tuesday, he said the occupants had acted in self-defense and are not facing charges in the incident.

Goodyear police: Fireworks stand owner shoots, kills armed robber

GOODYEAR, AZ — An armed robbery suspect who was shot trying to rob a fireworks stand Wednesday night has died, according to Goodyear police.The incident happened around 9:00 p.m. near Cotton Lane and Yuma Road.
Police say the suspect, later identified as 26-year-old Daniel Torres, of Buckeye, was transported to the hospital in serious condition and later died.
Officers are still looking for his female accomplice who fled the scene. She is described as a Hispanic woman in her late twenties to early thirties, about 5′ 9″ tall and 150 pounds. Police say she left the scene in a gold Honda ULX with Arizona license plate LAG50.

Democratic Presidential Candidate Eric Swalwell posted a poll on Twitter Monday, asking his followers if they would support a ban on assault weapons and a government gun buy back program.“Assault weapons have become the firearm of choice in too many mass shootings. We don’t have to live this way — those guns only belong on battlefields. Do you support a ban AND buy-back of every weapon of war in America?” Rep. Swalwell (D-CA) asked.
The overwhelming majority of the respondents to the poll weren’t buying the gun grabbing proposal. Off those who participated in the poll, 79% were against the idea of an Australia–style government gun buyback program, and 21% of the poll respondents favored the proposal. A total of 119,342 people voted.

Has the dust settled from the Texas story yesterday? Stepped back over there FIRST thing and the commenting was ongoing into the wee hours. And not one reply to my excellent comment on ancestral and flag history there.
I called the Alabama story too when it FIRST broke. The pregnant baby mama starting a fight with the new soon to be pregnant baby mama over the deadbeat baby daddy. She walks, maybe her wound will keep her azz from getting knocked up again to endanger another innocent child. Either way, the working taxpayer is on the hook for it all.
Shot while breaking in. YES!!! Only thing it should read is; “Killed while breaking in.”
And door # 3 for the winner; “Shot and killed while breaking in.” One of my nephews owns a fireworks shop outside of Mobile that was broken into and burglarized Monday night. They stole about $1500 worth. His Dad offered a $1500 no questions asked reward. The nephew, a preacher, prayed for the perps.
Swallows well must be in it for the attention whoring. Or the matching federal election funds. He needs to shut the eff up too.

Similar fireworks story in Houston… bonehead teen tried robbing a fireworks stand in Houston. Set his gun down to pick up the cash, and the vet fireworks stand owner picked the gun up and shot him in the face. Sadly, the teen will survive.
IN re: Swallowswell’s idiocy: his references to using nukes against Americans tells you everything you need to know about what he really is: a ________ , big time.
The responses to his twitterpating about taking guns from Americans who legally own them were 79% against it. Let’s make sure everybody knows exactly what he’s really like.
So the AR-15 style rifles belong on the battlefield. I guess the Military can get along with semi auto AR-15 types. If we go that way, bring back the ass kicker M-1 Garand. Shot them off of the OKIE 3’S fantail and up at NY State’S Camp Smith while in the inactive Navy reserve. Can’t count the number of red Maggie’S Drawers circles waved at me from the pits.
