Neighbors believe the victim and suspect shot each other.Channel 2’s Steve Gehlbach talked to a neighbor who said she had a bullet fired into her apartment at the Windrush Apartments off Kensington Road.
The mother asked not to be identified but she showed Gehlbach the bullet hole in her front door.
She said her 5-year-old son was asleep in the next room.
“(It) came through the door, got into the carpet,” the mother said. “I’m scared for my life because my baby could have got shot or I could have got shot.”

Video: Armed citizen effectively defends family in Houston
Michelle Choi
“How many of us,” KHOU’s Michelle Choi asked earlier this morning, “have showed up to our driveways late at night, gotten out of our cars thinking everything is safe?” One Houston woman did exactly that last night and got attacked by two men intending on conducting a home-invasion robbery. Unfortunately, the perpetrators chose their target poorly:Investigators said it all started when the man’s wife pulled into their driveway Tuesday night. Then the two armed suspects jumped out and tried to rob her.
First, they took her purse, and then they tried to force her into the house. However, that is when her husband showed up.
He heard the commotion from inside, grabbed his gun and ended up exchanging gunfire with the intruders. Fortunately, the couple weren’t hit, but one of the suspects was hit in the head, police said. The other suspect took off running.

First! And to put forth my WOT doctrine, I hearby order all of you dickweed and weedets off to the gun range for more practice time! Always remember, 3 midrange and 1 in the brain box for good measure~!
As the sole ranking figure here in the deep cellar, Range time is limited as to weather conditions. Fine tuning a sawed off 12 gauge loaded with double 00 buck only requires a couple of shots at short range to zero in. Enough fun for now, back down to the bottom, gotta keep a eye on those in the upper floors here.
The Titusville link is missing the last “1”, should look like this https://www.wftv.com/news/local/police-investigate-shooting-at-titusville-park/806192101 it also appears to be from Aug 2018.
Yeah, I thought I had seen that last year.
Sister Mary Grace does not wish to be obnoxious, but reporters must learn to be clear, i.e., in this particular bit:
“A bystander, who was licensed to a carry a firearm, shot the gunman, police said. He was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said.” – Titusville article.
Well, okay, was the bystander taken to the hospital? Or was it the gunman? Not clear. Be specific. The No. 15 yellow pencil is up and running – again.
Seeing as to more of this misuse of proper English is appearing, I can see the future. Judge orders bench warrant for reporter. Issues order for brain scan of said reporter as to brain mass. If not sufficient mass is found subject of warrant is banned from reporting for life. If sufficient matter is found subject of warrant is sentenced to minimum of 90 days of proper use and punctuation of English. Upon satisfactory completion of course, the reporter is placed on 10 years probation and any violation of probation is repeat of above sentence.
Put down the bong.
What’s a bong? Oh wait that’s that thing those hippies was using over in that college town at their coffee houses, never ever saw one then or even now. Nah, I stick with the cheap cigars and cigarettes I get sent by 5th, they kinda remind me of those frozen cigars my ex father in law gave me years ago that said IT’S A BOY. The 2 IT’S A BOY’S in question at that time, were from 16 to 30 years old then. Sure mellowed a person out when driving.
Well that makes your willingness to place freedom of the written word into the hands of the government even more perplexing. Had you been stoned, it would have been less strange.
Wow, got to add that to my list as to who I have been described to being in my past. “Stoner” just above Moron and alcky and pot head etc.
I remember when this happened.
Ironic that a person got angry and started shooting at children at the back to school peace event.
A licensed concealed carrier stopped the gunman.
Another good argument for why we should be armed in public at all times.
Actually another good reason to Home School children. Isn’t the first rule avoid situations of conflict? Public schools – conflict – shootings – no public school!
And the liberal left will score this as a “school shooting”.
Dekalb County…sigh…Stacey A’s former district
Titusville…Who hasn’t re-read a good book. Bad guy taken down by good guy with gun.
Houston…Center mass, then take a head shot.
Almost like a cowboy picture show today. The “Pickens” is slim. May have to delay the pickup of the winnings. I believe that outcast found the basement with charles w. There go the Class VI supplies.
Ain”t anyone here but me and got new steel gate installed to keep them that try to hide down here out of harms way. Dad blamed folks always leave a mess of cardboard and plywood they drag down here to further hide behind. As to the status of charles w, I believe I was successful in his eviction from down here and hopefully he has been banned from any floor below ground level unless he reaches room temp at which time special accommodations should be arranged in nearby swamp. Am getting low on those dusty below the flooring bottles, the one with Al C’s (may he rest in peace) label on it was a good vintage.
Unfortunately, the perpetrators chose their target poorly:
Unfortunately for the perps, maybe.
Fucking newsies.
