Food Truck Driver Shoots 2 During Robbery, Shootout in Miami-Dade

A food truck driver shot two people during an armed robbery in northwest Miami-Dade Tuesday morning, authorities said.

The incident started around 10 a.m. when an armed suspect approached the truck in the area of Northwest 35th Avenue and Northwest 65th Street and pointed a gun at a woman inside, demanding she hand over money and get on the ground, Miami-Dade Police said.

The driver of the truck heard the commotion and came around and encountered the suspect, who pointed the gun at the driver. The driver was handing money over to the suspect when he somehow was able to arm himself and shoot at the suspect, police said.

The injured suspect tried to flee the scene but was tackled by a Good Samaritan and held down until officers arrived at the scene, police said.

Seven dirtbags off the street, 1 of them for evah. They’ll be some openings for choir members too.

Believe I’ll have the apple pie ala mode with my coffee. Put ‘Ed’s steak & eggs on my tab. I’ll be at the window, collecting today’s winnings.

Where dahell is Jeff with that spare truck? He and Wilted Willie have been conspicuous in their absence of late. A little concerned about them boys.

Completely off topic, but I saw something in the news about Richard Overton passing away at the ripe old age of 112. Looks like he’s smoking a cigar and sipping his whiskey in the company of heroes. Rest in peace, sir.

The Stranger

Wow. I guess I’m really behind the curve. I just saw something about it a couple of days ago.

That’s OK, I somehow missed Bill Ruger Jr.’s passing in September until this month’s Rifleman arrived.

I note that most of the “I have a gun” or “guns/carry ok here” signs I see show a revolver, and most of the “no guns” signs I see have a semi-auto.

Mine doesn’t look like that there “no” sign, so I am good, right?
