From Apache Junction, AZ

According to Pinal County Sheriff’s Office, two armed suspects entered a home near US 60 and Tomahawk Road Saturday around 11 a.m. The homeowner struggled with one of the suspects, shooting him. Detectives believe the second suspect took off in a dark-colored car.

The shot suspect was pronounced dead at a local hospital, PCSO said.

From Phoenix, AZ

Phoenix police are investigating a shooting at a home near 19th Avenue and Indian School Road that left one man in critical condition.

The shooting occurred at about 3:40 a.m. Sunday morning.  According to Sgt. Armando Carbajal, when officers arrived on scene, they found one man who had suffered a gunshot wound.  He was taken to a local hospital where he remains in critical condition.

Carbajal said police are still searching for a suspect.

From Huston, TX

A would-be robber, according to Houston police, was fatally shot after he tried to run away with a money bag he wrestled from an armored truck guard.  “There was a confrontation, if you want to call it, a fight over the money bag,” said HPD Sgt. Robert Ruiz. “A wrestling match, but the suspect did manage to get the bag away from the security guard is the information we’re collecting at this point.”

A Starbucks had to close for several hours,  oh the humanity of it all.

Could the Phoenix story be any more ambiguous?

David

Well, if the shooter was the homeowner, they wouldn’t have to look for him/her. I suspect we’ll eventually find that two folks broke in somewhere, and the resident let some daylight into one of them.

Two out of three DRT isn’t a bad batting average.

“A Starbucks had to close for several hours”

The robber was heading for the place. Everyone knows Starbucks is “sanctuary”.

Wilted Willy

He probably would have got more cash if he robbed the Starbucks?

And lived to be able to spend it.

In the future, Starbucks will have a close for a day to conduct sensitivity training.

Somewhere out there is a millennial that didn’t get their iced caramel macchiato.

When I worked for Brink’s 70-2007, NYC only had 3 Armoured Car Companies for years and then, the industry was de regulated opening it up for other companies who operated with two man crews and no union while the big three- Brink’s, Wells Fargo and Cross Armoured utilized three man crews which was the downfall because of being out bidded on the large NYC financial institutions contract’s. During my time working, if a perp trying to rob us had a weapon, we could use deadly physical force but if no weapon involved, only an escalation of force. Looks like the Texas incident were a two person crew with the driver inside the truck. I worked NYC Parking meter pick ups before the big Brink’s parking meter scandal and if someone followed me, gun hand was resting on the holster and I’d give the person a crazy look rolling my eye balls around and letting spittle dribble down my mouth like a mad dog. Worked very well and any confrontations were avoided. NYC Brink’s parking meter scandal can be googled.
