Mark Davis; phony SEAL

| July 16, 2018

Our partners at Military Phonies send us their work on this fellow Mark Davis who claims that he was a Navy SEAL. He likes the hokey T-shirts;

And, of course, there’s a do-rag, a vest and a motorcycle club involved, but no dog;

A tattoo is required for all phony SEALs;

Military Phonies have pulled the FOIA, thinking that they have the wrong records. He’s still not a SEAL, though.

Back the fvcking truck up…this dude is a WEST POINTER!?!

I’m sure there is a story of grand dick stepping involved on this one….

SSG Kane

Paved the way for Rapacommie../

2/17 Air Cav

Whoa. There has got to be a back story in this one. I can’t even imagine. Whoa.

sj

And his FB doesn’t mention USMA etc. Strange.

An Old Arty Sgt

If I’m reading his form 2-1 correctly, it says in the last entry, DD form 794a. So I checked what a DD form 794a was. A DD form 794a is used for discharge (under other than honorable conditions).

So he was “kicked” out of the Army.

Green Thumb

Substandard discharge = shitbag.

NHSparky

Once a shitbag….

Skippy

Always a SHITBAG……

26Limabeans

Buried as a SHITBAG……

Skippy

Amen

2/17 Air Cav

Why couldn’t he have a name such as Lucas Woodrow Xylophone? This one worries me.

USAFRetired

How did this clown attain the rank of Captain in less than 4 years during the 80s while still getting bounced from the service at the less than 4 year point?

This in the day when Academy grads had longer initial active duty service commitments.

AnotherPat

USAFRetired:

That was the norm back then. He was commissioned in June 1982.Pinned on CPT @ January/February 1986.

Normal was 12-18 months from 2LT to 1LT, then about 18 months to CPT. He was also Regular Army, so he had a high promotion number.

USAFRetired

AP,

In the early 70a it was 18 month to 1Lt and 36 montha to Capt. By the time I was commissioned in the late 70s it was 24 months and 48 months. That’s why I’m having a problem with this apparent dirtbag.

AnotherPat

Understand, USAFRetired.

Were those Air Force promotion standards in the 70s, i.e. 48 months from 2LT to CPT?

USAFRetired

Also for my college roommate who was Army Field Arty and another roommate who was Naval Aviator. (O1 to O3)

I need to check with the Marines I went to school with to se if their’s was different.

Those of us (USAF) that were delayed going on EAD, like me (7-1/2 months) got day for day credit for the time between 6-12 months to wards 1Lt. So I pinned on 1 LT 30 months to the day after commissioning and 1 yr 10 months and 8 days after coming on active duty.

Just enough time to have me in one promotion year group and a later year group for retirement. The end result being the senior Maj in USAF on retirement by virtue of being passed over for promotion to Lt Col more times than everyone else in my year group.

AnotherPat

Wow…did not realize all of that…no wonder you have a problem with the USMA O3 promotion along with his discharge! Appreciate you sharing the information..thank you.

Hondo

USAFRetired: TIG for junior officer promotions was hugely affected by Vietnam – hugely accelerated during, and dramatically lengthened during the post-Vietnam period. Pretty sure all the services were affected, and given the USAF’s larger fraction of commissioned officer personnel (pilots) they may have been affected more than the Army or Navy.

Example: I knew a guy (Army) who made CPT in around 2 years during the height of Vietnam – then TIG requirements started stretching as Vietnam wound down. He spent roughly 9 years as a CPT before pinning on MAJ – at 11 years and 3 or 4 months TIS if I recall correctly.

Can’t speak from personal knowledge about typical Army TIG for O2 and O3 during the early/mid 1970s. But that was the height of the post-Vietnam drawdown/RIF era, so the TIGs you quote wouldn’t surprise me. The post-Vietnam drawdown did slow promotions greatly.

I can tell you that by the early 1980s, typical Army TIS for officers to go from 2LT to CPT was back down to roughly 4 years total. That was during the Reagan defense build-up, and the Army was expanding. I think that typical Army TIS from O1 to O3 dropped a bit more by the mid-1980s, when this guy would have pinned on CPT. I seem to remember that it did, but I hesitate to rely on 30+ year old memory when I’m not absolutely positive.

AnotherPat

Yep…a 1982 West Point Graduate. Looked him up in the ’82 HOWITZER. He was a member of the Cadet Band, President of the Astronomy Club and WAS ON the HONOR Committee during his Plebe and Sophomore Year (also Vice Chairman).

He was in H-1 and was given the Rank of Captain (O3) while a Senior.

His Senior Portrait write up reads:

“We nearly lost Nark to the EN101 attrition squad. Definitely not one to concern himself with major deadlines, he seemed to march to a different drummer. In fact, Mark is probably the only Cadet to ever be corrected for bouncing while at attention….”

Home of Record at that time was Mountain Home, Idaho.

According to the Register of Graduates, he annotated that he RESIGNED in 1986 as an O3/CPT. Am speculating a DUI while in Germany for his OTHC Discharge. West Point Graduates submit their own Bios for the Register…😉

AnotherPat

Had two Officer friends who had to leave the Army because of DUIs while they were in Germany and Japan. That is why I am speculating. Other possibilities are Marital Affairs, Theft of Government Property, hitting a Senior Officer or one of his troops being killed on an Exercise in Germany. Have seen that happened as well.

Hondo

He may indeed have resigned – in lieu of court-martial. As I recall, when an officer does that it also comes with a General/UOTH discharge.

DUI is a possibility, but as I recall that wasn’t the norm for a 1st offense at the time – as I recall, that generally led to a career-ending GO letter in the OMPF vice directly to an admin discharge. So I’d guess it was either a repeat offense or something else.

However, if the guy was a PITA to his chain of command, they could well have dropped the hammer for that. Hope Big Army made him repay 20+% of the cost of his education as well.

Patrick408

It would be fitting to link this site to his register so all his classmates can see how well he turned out.
West Point Grad becomes Navy SEAL without being in the Navy or going to BUDS makes a lot of sense lol
I was waiting to see the Army says who when then FIOA came back but this is crazy WTF is going on with these people.

AnotherPat

Patrick408: I have the hard cover of the Register of Graduates. Don’t know if there is a public link to it since it is HUGE…am sure the Class of 82 has their own Website page, but I think you have to be a member of West Point Alumni to access it.

Andy11M

So what does a Pointer in the mid 80’s have to do to get kicked out of the Army?
His last assignment was Germany, but it says he was separated at Dix. When I ETSed from my last unit in Germany I flew straight home, didn’t the Army used to fly people ETSing from Germany/Korea to a stateside post for like a week of out processing and then fly them home?

100E

When I left the Army in 72 I was flown from Germany to McGuire and out-processed at Ft. Dix. It was all done in the day I arrived there.

Frankie Cee

Kenneth Mark Davis you are on your way to gooooogle fame. Each comment here, that mentions your name, will create a gooooooogle entry that will live on to show any who look you up, just what a colossal piece of shit you really are.
What in hell must a West Point Grad, Army Captain do to get an “Other than Honorable” discharge?

Ex-PH2

Hmm… it appears that Mr. Davis couldn’t get the Army to keep him, so he decided to shift himself over to the Navy, because the Navy is just like the Army, right? Right?

Okay, sure.

What a wanker.

5JC

Never seen a ring knocker fake SEAL. He must have really stepped on his crank in the service to not finish his five and get an OTH discharge. The ring knockers normally take care of their own on the minor stuff, especially back then.

Cameron Kingsley

What’s a ring knocker?

Cameron Kingsley

Is that referencing the West Point ring?

AnotherPat

Cameron:
Yes…West Point Graduates are sometimes affectionally known as “Ring Knockers” (Term of Endearment) because they wear their Class Ring. In uniform. Informal or Formal wear.😉

rgr769

That class ring is an instant indicia of the WPPA-the West Point Protective Association. I guess membership privileges don’t include escape from the consequences of whatever caused him to resign with an OTH discharge.

AnotherPat

rgr769…Wonder if he replaced his USMA ring with a SEAL ring (does that exist…seriously..)

Cameron Kingsley

Ah okay, now that makes sense. Thank you AnotherPat. Now in that case, I’m assuming if you are from Annapolis or Colorado Springs, it is no different? Maybe with a different title as opposed to Ring Knocker?

AnotherPat

Good question, Cameron…don’t know if the other Academies have a similiar nickname. Now you got me curious…🤔🤗

The Stranger

I’ve heard “ring knocker” in the Air Force.

26Limabeans

I’m seeing a trend towards Phony Seals on Mondays. But then again, every day is phony Seal Day.

Skippy

He’s wearing a MTM Spac Ops watch
3000 buckarooos
Talk about a stupid amount to pay for a watch

26Limabeans

My ex paid $$$$ for a Rolex.
Flashed it around until a Jeweler told her it was fake. Not my money.

AW1Ed

The gold souk in Jeddah had Rolex watches on display- right next to Timex and Fossil watches. About the same price, too. Almost bought one, just for S&Gs.

SFC D

I amassed a small collection of TAG’s, Breitlings, and Porsche watches through various trips to the middle east. Might have $250.00 invested in about 10 watches. All are surprisingly high quality and I’ve been wearing some of them for 18 years.

26Limabeans

Bought a Seiko from a gook outside the Da Nang PX. Four hours later it was an hour behind.
FNG

sj

Mine is still tickin! Phan Rang ’68. Gave it to grandson.

26Limabeans

My understanding was that they removed the jewels (tiny rubys) and sold the pretty watch to idiots like me.
A buddy had his graduation gift Timex stripped off his bare arm by two guys on a motorcycle. Pretty common.

2/17 Air Cav

You can tell a man is just accessorizing if he wears a watch while carrying a cell phone. Either that or it’s just habit. What it ain’t nowadays is nessa. (Not a typo. Just something I picked up for a professor.)

2/17 Air Cav

From, not for. Dammit.

rgr769

Bought one at the PX in An Khe, wore it for the next 15 months and it worked flawlessly, even in the bush. It quit working at SF school at Bragg, so I took it to a local jeweler who sold Sieko’s. He took the back off and wanted to know where I bought it. When I told him, he said the Seiko’s made for the Asian markets could not be repaired in the U.S., as they were made with parts not available in the U.S.

HMC Ret

SFC D: Those are high dollar watches. Any one stateside would go for $250. I renewed my NRA membership for, I think, 10 years back a few years ago. One of the things they gave me was a watch. The watch goes for $12 on Ebay. Keeps exact time. Really nice looking watch. That’s all I need, a $12 watch.

Jeff LPH 3, 63-66

I bought a Breitling Navitimer from one of our customers at a good price while working for brink’s. Friend of mine who went from the trucks into mg’t knew I liked these kind of high end watches so he asked me if I wanted to work the watch shows at the Roosevelt Hotel in Manhattan but at the time, I was a lot older and didn’t want to hump those 150 pound jeweler cases around. Also got an Ernst Benz automatic and got the FD discount. Years ago, Cartier used to dump all the counterfeit watches on 5th Ave outside their store and a steam roller would run over them. Nice photo op. Now I just screw around fixing old Mechanical pocket watches. Parts no longer made and you have to hunt on EBay for parts or I can go to Cas-kerco for bulk parts that are still around. Am at a stalled point because I have to practice removing and installing roller jewels onto the roller table and these jewels run like 1.5 mm long and have to be held in with shellac that is melted over a heat source. I buy just the movements which are DOA and save certain parts to use on other movements that I am TRYING to repair. Why do I also go off on a tangent and make a short story long. Why oh why. That sounds like a lead into a doo wopp song so I say no more. Whew. Okay, let me have it with both barrels now.

Daisy Cutter

I always go into long stories, then I end it up by saying:

Anyway, to make a short story long…

(smoothes it over a little bit 😉 )

rgr1480

… unless it’s a Rolex.

Dustoff

Mid 80s fake Rolexes abound in Korea. I picked one up in Itaewon for about 30.00 US. Was walking out to the flight line one morning dropped it, and of course it busted into a bazillion pieces. Dustoff says: Fake Rolexes are bad investments.

NHSparky

I have a Tag I paid $850 for in the P-Cola NEX back around 1996.

Still runs like a champ.

The Stranger

Turd 💩. That is all!

PSYOP SGM

I was thinking he figured the Army screwed him over (when he most likely did it to himself) so he decided to pretend to have been in the Navy. Come on, he has the obligatory vest, what more do you guys want?

26Limabeans

A dog would be nice

sj

Doo Rag

sj

My bad…he is pictured with a doo rag and Jonn even mentioned it.

The Stranger

No dog deserves that!

Grunt

An A-bag of cocks to suck

Roh-Dog

Dude probably has a great impression of Curly from The Three Stooges.

radar

hahaha….PO2 Curly Howard, Navy SEAL

Wilted Willy

Is this the first West Pointer Stolen Valor case on record? Talk about taking a shit on an otherwise some what honorable career? This has to be the first SV SEAL from West Point??

Martinjmpr

In terms of bizarre this is right up there with the LTC poser we had, what, a month or so ago?

Maybe he fakes being Navy so nobody looks too hard into what he did in the Army?

Atkron

I always somewhat held Academy grads at a higher standard because of the Honor Codes they lived under.

That balloon is now popped.

Mason

That balloon has been getting popped a lot lately. 🙁

A Proud Infidel®™️

Wow, what a SHITBIRD!!! I wonder if aDUI got him booted or did he do something really brilliant like pissing hot or hopping in the sack with some other Officer’s Wife?

John Seabee

Imagine that… A Hudson High fancy dick stepper. In the band??? Skin Flute player? You really have to screw the pooch to get shit canned as an RA CPT. S. M. H.

OldManchu

Goodness that t-shirt. How is it that company’s exist that can print shit like that, hats and shirts, that no Navy Seal in the History of the Navy would ever wear.

Jeff LPH 3, 63-66

People buy them OldManchu and companies make big moola shmoola from the sales. I wear Navy and FD tees. Have a lot of 1950’S Doo Wopp tees but some are a little worn and size large which is a little small for me when I carry concealed.

Jeff LPH 3, 63-66

HooYa, Monday morning start at the TAH starting gate for the fake Seals.

Oldav8r

I’m pretty sure that he was discharged from the Army for going AWOL while on a super double top-secret mission with the SEAL team he joined in his off time. Of course since the records are sealed he couldn’t show the Army and those bastards just threw him out.

Frankie Cee

Proving that he is, in fact, a Number one shithead, Kenneth Mark Davis has either blocked me or closed his fakebook page.

The Al

He blocked you, and is in full-poser backpedal mode from the looks of his page. It looks freshly scrubbed of almost everything related to the military

AnotherPat

Kenneth Mark Davis of CT, formally USMA Class of 1982, Number 39212,is a coward and refuses to accept responsibility for his lies of being a Navy SEAL.

That is why he blocked you, Frankie. You gave him love by confronting him with the truth. And he just could not face the truth.

Bill M

Makes me kind of wonder. What the hell do these bozos tell their Facebutt friends when they ask about the changes to their pages? Like “All your military stuff is gone. What’s up dude?” What do they say, “Hey, I got tired of bragging about it” or what?

AnotherPat

Bill M:

I like this answer that you wrote:

“Hey, I got tired of bragging about it”…

😎

Mason

I assume they double down. “I had to remove all that military stuff because some black ops I was involved in came back to haunt me. The [Venezuelans, ISIS, Mexican cartels, et. al.] were using Facebook to track down people like me.”

Ex-PH2

Okay, well, he got caught pants down and is trying to pull his pants up now. Taking down all that gloryhounding stuff will be sufficient (he thinks) to throw the bird dogs off his trail. He’ll lay low until the coast is clear, then run a new sneak front until he gets caught again.

Maybe someone should just confront him in person and tell him to grow up. All he’s doing is embarrassing himself in public.

An Old Arty Sgt

It seems that the Army Captain that left under other than Honorable conditions isn’t this guy.. To many Davis’s out there.. The FOIA that was sent was wrong.. A new one was requested.. BUT he’s still not a Navy SEAL..

AnotherPat

An Old Arty Sgt:

Now I understand why his 1978 yearbook picture (Danbury High School) did not match his 1982 West Point picture as well as present day picture.

Also, was scratching my head about Idaho being his Home of Record as published with his Senior picture in the 1982 HOWITZER since he graduated from Danbury High School in CT, but figured he might had been nominated by an Idaho Senator with help from relatives (seen that happened).

Thank you for the update. Learned alot today about phony, knock off watches and that Rolexes have tiny rubies embedded within them..😉

An Old Arty Sgt

LOL You’re welcome AnotherPat. Love busting these clowns, but like to get it right. When an error is made, the folks that make the pages do their best to correct it Riki tik. 99 % of the time they are right on the money..

AnotherPat

Thanks for doing this, An Old Arty Sgt…and you are right..they ARE Clowns! 🤡👍

A Proud Infidel®™️

I bet he has a position waiting for him at All Points Logistics.

HMC Ret

No honorable man would wear a tee shirt like that. A poser would just be setting himself up for an ass kicking. A real SEAL would have too much honor and respect to wear it.

Skippy

Just figured out today my neighbor down the street
Who just retired from the Navy would probably agree
With you

Green Thumb

Yeah.

What does “SOAML” mean?

Skippy

Kenneth Mark Davis…. Seriously WTF were you thinking
Didn’t west-point teach ya anything about honor
Or did you throw that out the door in Germany

The Al

There’s some debate as to whether or not West Point Grad and the phony SEAL are the same person. What is known for sure is that phony SEAL is phony

Jarhead

Kenneth Mark Davis….thanks so very damned much for letting all the TAH crowd know when people see you on an air line or a cruise ship, they say seeing you “makes them feel safer” Personally whenever I have ever seen a bald headed homo in a leather jacket, I thank God for the Village People.

HMCS(FMF) ret

Does MARK DAVIS, phony SEAL, juggle balls…. off his chin?

Assclown

Jarhead

Why not take a short minute or so to voice your opinion on the Sons of Armageddon web site. This is the organization Mark Davis touts membership in at least five different MC chapters.
