Geezers for Peace at Daytona 500

| February 20, 2009

I can’t think of a worse venue for the Veterans for Peace latest protest than the Daytona 500 – yet there they were;

In the blog post about the event, they raved about the resounding success of their presence. You can tell from these pictures, race fans weren’t much interested in the smelly hippies.

It might have had something to do with the truther message and the worn out “war for oil” cliche.

Keep it up, guys, you’re doin’ a bang-up job.

Jonn:
Their “resounding success” lies in the fact that none of us “Redneck Good Ole Boys” beat the living shit out of them. Hey, victory is where you find it, eh? (Learned that “eh” thing from a canuck; cool, eh?) They probably think that the fans that passed their site, (or passed gas at their site), took the message onto the Speedway and mulled it over during the Yellow Flags. I am sure the the impression the wackos left on the fans caused them to not be able to concentrate on the race. Yeah, right……

I was thinking the same thing when I read this post! Although there’s places in this country (my hometown of Rochester, NY for instance) that would give the moonbats a pass, there’s other places where anti-American protesting is totally frowned upon.

I just had an encounter with a “truther” on my local newspaper’s comment forum. He commented about we tortured terrorists for revenge, and I posted back to the dude that he must be getting his information from Democrat Underground and asked him if he believed 911 was staged by Israel. Bingo, he admitted it! These moonbats are so predictable.

I just want to reinforce what my friends above have written – having had a family of Nascar and short track fans for many years, I am totally shocked that no one beat the sheeyit out of these punks… and I would personally enjoy seeing them show up at Talladega, where our local good old boys are perhaps a bit less genteel than the Daytona fans… just to see how many made it out again.

M’kay, according to the 9/11 troofers, explosives were planted in the Towers. Anyone ever collect any samples of ground zero dust & analyze it for explosive residue???

Have the troofers ever IDed anyone who helped stuff the Towers with the explosives???

Have any troofers ever submitted to have their brains tested for brain wave activity??

proof

I think there were a couple of Flat Earthers in there as well!

Marooned in Marin

Junior AG: Don’t forget that the troofers are also looking for the gunman on the Grassy Knoll as well.

Like everyone else, I’m surprised these idiots didn’t get their collective asses kicked.

UpNorth

JuniorAG, and how did the evil Booosh/Hitler ever get everyone involved in this conspiracy to keep quiet? I can’t remember anyone I ever talked to keeping a secret, if someone had succeeded in bringing down the twin towers, how would they have been able to keep quiet. Oh, that’s right, they’re all dead and must be buried in the Rose Garden.

Just A Grunt

Sorry what was this post about? I got distracted by the attractive lady with the cellphone and knee brace who was walking by without even giving them a glance.
A real journalist would have followed her and got her reaction. You know to add context to the story.
I am surprised the raceway officials didn’t escort the obviously Alzheimer suffering senior citizens back to their retirement home.

I never have *gotten* what is meant by “No War for Oil.” If this war is about getting Iraq’s oil, then where is it? What would be the benefit to people who own stock in American oil companies if we got all the oil we needed by stealing it from Iraq? Can someone please explain this connection between War and Oil for me?

UpNorth

Mia, it’s easy, really. To them, the oil is in the mideast, therefore, anything the US does over there is for the Oil. If a war is waged to evict an occupying power, ala Gulf War 1, or to overthrow a murderous dictator and his sons, it has to be for the oil. Not one of these morons has been able to explain why gas went to $4.35/gal. around here last summer, but it was “blood for oil”.

Frankly Opinionated

Bush n Cheney have always been accused of going into Iraq “For the Oil”. Because the Bush family is “in Oil”. And because Cheney once worked for Halliburton.
I know a few things about “Oil”- Yes, the Bushes are “In Oil”. Exploration for Oil. Getting Iraq’s oil does them no good. And Halliburton? When I worked in the oilfield, if we needed a specialty job done right the first time, we called “GOD”, as Halliburton is called in the oilpatch. As best I know, among all those in congress; the Democrats own/did own more shares of “Oil” than the republicans. Trolls, correct me on this if you have a reliable source. If we had truly wanted Iraq’s oil, we’d have taken it and been home for Christmas with the desert smoking. As it is, George W. Bush, enabled Iraq to begin to get on its feet, by seeing that their oilfields got back into production, putting Iraqi oil on the market. And while he was at it, he made it possible for dumbphuck reporters to throw shoes at visiting dignitaries. The anti-war antiques don’t have a clue and they share their playbook with the Code Stinkos.
