Authorities confirm three people were shot and they have been taken to a local hospital.
Police say this shooting was not random. Two of the victims were targeted and followed to the Kroger. Police believe the shooting stemmed from a robbery attempt.
We covered this in our Feel Good Stories this morning. What actually happened was that three armed thieves tried to rob a couple leaving the grocery store. The couple was armed, too, and shot the three criminals. Neither of the robbery victims were injured and all three criminals wound up in the hospital. You would never know that from the CNN story, though.

Having CNN report it at all is unusual- the spin is not. How far the once flagship of by-the-minute news has fallen.
The initial reports locally didn’t say anything about hiw it was three assholes attacking two people and they got shot for their troubles. In fact, it was covered like some maniac was shooting up the shopping center. After the details emerged, you had to go look for the story on the local news channels.
Fox5 had it right when I was looking for FGS last night.
Interesting. Factually, it’s correct, but how the facts were reported bypasses the actual story, which is that two would-be robbery victims successfully defended themselves.
Like that group of BLM thugs attacked that mentally challenged white kid last year in Chicago. To hear the news reports, you’d have thought it was a bunch of Klansmen attacking a poor urban youth walking to church.
I kind of liked the coverage. I was a good teaching point for people speaking from ignorance.
Just what we’ve come to expect from today’s TARDO moonbat mess media, spin and bias to serve a political agenda.

Source on the “innocent bystander” being shot? I’ve read 5 articles on it this far and all say “the victims and no innocent bystanders were injured”.
Until or unless a CNN dweeb/ette is held up at gunpoint and the criminal is shot by a cop or a bystander, this slacker reporting will not stop.

No. They will never change. An MSM reporter in Chicago was, at 2 AM waiting in the parking lot of a donut shop across from a police precinct and was carjacked.

Years ago the Violence Policy Center said they were going to cover all the shootings by CHL holders. It very much backfired on them and they then decided to delete all the stories for justified shoots and just keep the ones for unjustified shootings.
A narrative is a narrative. Tough to stay on message when the facts get in the way.
Wish I could say I was surprised by CNN’s “factual” reporting. To read that it sounds like a terrorist attack with a “not random” gunman targeting people.
It was “not random” in that the victims fought back! That they were randomly targeted by a group of felons doesn’t enter their minds. UFB
Having been the victim of biased and ill framed reporting in the past, I can see why Trump wanted (or still wants?) to strengthen libel laws against the press.

Agree with you; Trump has gone out of his way to see the character of people can not be tarnished at will with nothing to corroborate it. Factual or not, ESPECIALLY in smaller towns and cities this is what people love to repeat to one another. Years ago, I remember some old lady occasionally coming over from her house next door just to talk shit and always begin with, “I heard so and so” with the term “They say”…Whomever they were. I can also remember her favorite response to something she did not learn until my gossiping ol’ lady would tell her. The comment always was, “Well I’ll swanee!”
More than once I wondered if that meant she had crapped in her Depends. Small town gossip can leave mental and emotional scars as if it were a knife in the back.
Few believe TV anymore. Unless there is a video that reasonably supports whatever narrative they believe.
Nobody I know of believes things published in any newspaper unless it supports their narrative of the world.
