Christian Gerald Desgroux impersonates Army LT General

WRAL reports that Christian Gerald Desgroux was indicted today for pretending to be a lieutenant general so that he could land a helicopter at SAS Headquarters in Cary, North Carolina (not Special Air Services SAS);
Christian Gerald Desgroux, 57, posed as a three-star general who was transporting someone for a classified briefing and asserted authority to land the helicopter at SAS, authorities said.
No other details of the incident were released.
If convicted, Desgroux faces up to three years in prison and a $250,000 fine.
Nice try, dimbulb. I don’t think even the president has any 3-star pilots flying him around.
The News Observer reports that he’s been a good boy until last year;
But he has multiple pending charges from 2017: assault on a female (April); misuse of the 911 system and violating a domestic violence protection order (May); felony conversion (November); and interfering with emergency communications, felony fleeing to elude arrest, misuse of the 911 system and misdemeanor stalking (December).

DUMBASS!
BMC Red Forman concurs.
To call “it” DUMBASS is being too kind, that perverted freakazoid is so retarded he didn’t think all 3 star generals were known and accounted for? LOL 3 years is not enough to keep this moron away from the public imho
Before anybody requests a Name Scrabble score, I worked it all out already.
Mr. dimbulb here pulled a DAM (Dumb Ass Move) so:
Christian Gerald Desgroux – 39×4= 156.
Go big or go home….at least he didn’t run out of fuel.
When is the last time we had a phony LTG on TAH?
I think his last name is misspelled.
Shouldn’t it be DEVGRU??
Nah. He’d have to have been a VADM in that case. (smile)
Yup, a LGen taxi-ing a VIP. Total legit.
A Captain or Major would have been somewhat believable, but he had to go FULL Retard.
He went past full retard, past full potato to full rutabaga.
He went full Bernathian!
No, he didn’t crash.
I believe his story … we need to keep him talking a bit longer!
I knw him. He also said he received the medal of honor a couple of months ago. Also said Black Hawks landed on his yard to whisk him off to the Pentagon on a routine basis. The most recent “trip” to the pantagon was so he could pick up a secret code and deliver to Trident which was poised for action in South Korea. ALso said he captured Bin Laden. Listen the guy isn’t nuts. He knows he is lying becasue I have countered some of his lies with fact. There are some who feel sympathy for him bcs they see him as sick. He’s not “sick”. He’s just a huge lier who feels he needs to give his personna a “little” boost.
What is not mentioned in any article bcs it’s small fry is that he is actually a back yard mechanic who has ripped people off. He recently billed me for abt $700 for work he never did. One thing for sure, social media in this area will prevent him for EVER working as a mechanic in this area again. Adios “General” Desgroux Mission accomplished.
SMH
At least he didn’t claim to be a Lt.Gen of SEALS ?
As the authority on Army SEALS, you have to be Sub Private (P) to enter the course.
The highest rank you can achieve is Brigadier Specialist (E-4.5).
Also, the list of Army SEALS is very low.
He’s definitely not on the roster.
It’s frightening to think of the number of dumbasses in the air. Yeah, I know, there is one fewer as of last month.
MrFace approves this message.
From the FB comment above. ” I was in the courtroom for his initial appearance and work with the agent who arrested him. Let me tell you…there is a LOT more to this story…and it is hilariously dumb.”
Dude, Seriously, you can’t just leave us *hanging* here….
Throw down with the “deets”
he was just tryin to get some numbers from them to play the lotto….
LOL
The story describes that he “..asserted authority to land the helicopter”
If convicted and does jail time, I suspect he’ll find out what “asserting authority to do X-Y-Z” really means.
All I heard was helicopters and SAS…..
Think the FAA will suspend his pilot license?
At least he didn’t try to take off without sufficient fuel afterwards.
Sounds like a DAB wanna-be already.
So I am thinking that maybe the “general” was not the actual pilot of the helicopter, just like he’s not really a general. Just a General Jackass.
Respect muh authoritah!
Field Marshall Cartman!
Had to send a LTG ’cause the W5s were on coffee break. regards, Alemaster
Was his dog Phideaux with him?
Shouldn’t that be “Phildeaux”? (smile)
If you’re going to pose as a LTG, why not add on SAS as well?
0 x 1,000,000,000 still equals zero.
We could have had our first SAS poser.
Jonn,
Send this guy an email. Tell him we believe him and we want him to come here and tell us more.
He needs to be heard.
I am serious.
Out …
It has to be posted. Apologies in advance.
I wonder if this song will be his defence…..
Looks like someone is going to get DORKED in the SQUEAKOLE for an extended period of time…
Generals get a driver, right? That fellow from the “stole a Humvee” thread would be perfect.
“According to state criminal records obtained by The News & Observer, Desgroux has pending charges from an alleged assault on a female from April 2017, misuse of the 911 system and violating a domestic violence protection order from May 2017. He also has pending charges on interfering with emergency communications, felony fleeing to elude arrest, misuse of the 911 system and misdemeanor stalking from December 2017.” Fox News
Makes me feel so cozy knowing that this clown flies the skies.
He needs to hook up with Marilyn Hartman, the serial stowaway. They are two of a kind.
I believe ALL Army Generals ie: BG, MG, LtG, and General are now, regardless of how much experience they have, required to fly Army Hellicopters ONLY with a current Instructor pilot in the other seat.
I like this guy! If you are going to be a military imposter go big and I’m thinking LTG is a record am I right? Helicopter involved, some sort of high tech company, and all in all it was an impressive effort.
Some of the other poser fooks need to step it up as this was a game changer!!
Kirjath Toney and Joshua Anggoh Lee come to mind right away.
They both posed as Four Stars.
He’s getting famous-

This incident does bring up an interesting question, though. Has the US Army or USMC (or USN, for that matter) ever had an O9 on active flight status who was current on some type of rotary-wing qualification?
USMC O-8 Air Wing Commanders are on flight status/maintain currency in type/model/series, but I don’t remember ever hearing about any USMC O-9s doing so.
However, that doesn’t mean that it has never happened…
The only one right off the top of my head might have been GEN Richard A. Cody.
IIRC from reading in the 101 Association Newsletters way back when, he was still on some type of active flight status when he (as an MG) was the 101st Airborne CG.
No idea, and absolutely no reason to even offer an opinion. However, would guess that there have been/are simply because most fliers will maintain their flight eligibility status until forced against their will it give it up. Unless there is a serious overage of flight eligible officers, is there a reason not to allow them to do so?
(Then) BG Patrick Brady, MOH, was on “limited cockpit duty” in the UH-1H while assigned as CoS, 1st USA at Ft. Meade, MD back in the mid to late 80’s. He had no instrument or currency minimums and had to fly with an IP. Guess who had those honors! regards, Alemaster
I don’t know about 0-9’s; but, as a 561st MP gate guard at Davison US Army Airfield, I had a Major General stop at my post on the way off of the airfield. He chatted a bit about the weather aloft, and asked me about the weather I was experiencing at my post.
