Haley; US negotiated UN budget cut

| December 25, 2017

According to the Associated Press, US ambassador to the United Nations, Nikky Haley, claims that the US has negotiated a nearly $300 million cut to the UN’s operating budget.

U.S. ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley said that the “inefficiency and overspending” of the organization is well-known, and she would not let “the generosity of the American people be taken advantage of.”

She also said that while the mission was pleased with the results of budget negotiations, it would continue to “look at ways to increase the U.N.’s efficiency? while protecting our interests.”

It’s a drop in bucket, but it’s a good start. I guess it’s $300 million dollars that can be put towards the gloom and doom domestic income tax cuts. Those countries that voted against US policy in Jerusalem should be worried about their own tin cups.

If only I trusted our federal government to find ways to not take advantage of the taxpayers.

Negotiated or did she tell them “guess what you anti Semites. I was damn serious about taking names and cutting our funding to you assholes. Consider this a down payment. Obama ain’t in charge anymore and for all you woman hating Muslims, this must be quite a slap in your raghead faces to hear this from me. Deal with it”

Since the Associated Press and/or Yahoo! were too lazy to include the relevant information, here are some additional factoids:

The U.S. contributes about $3 Billion per year to the U.N. operating budget, and an additional $5 Billion per year for peacekeeping. Those numbers amount to 22 percent of the U.N. operating budget, and 28 percent of U.N. peacekeeping.

The U.S. has a population of around 330 million. By way of contrast, India, with a population of about 1 Billion, contributes 0.66 percent of the U.N. budget.

Any funds the US provides the UN should first be reduced dollar for dollar by the amount of unpaid parking and traffic fines UN vehicles run up annually and given to NYC in compensation for having to contend with that cast of characters. The UN should then go after the individual countries to make up the resulting difference in revenue, NYC would be able to provide a detailed list easily I’m sure. But, if they continue to act like a-holes, I’m all for shutting off the money completely for a year or permanently. Since they’re so offended by things in the US like traffic and parking laws, maybe they really should relocate to a neutral nation. Might I suggest Switzerland? Or perhaps the DPRK might be more to their liking. Fatty Kim would be most accomodating to them I’m sure.

I’d like to see her run as Pence’s VP in seven years.

Why do we have to “negotiate” with them? We simply tell them what we are contributing, and if they don’t like that amount, they can always kick us out.
