CIA tip thwarts Russia terror attack

According to Associated Press, Russian President Vladimir Putin thanked President Trump for the tip to Russian Intelligence agencies that thwarted a bombing attack by terrorists in St Petersburg.
Russian TV stations have aired footage daily since Friday of the suspects in the foiled attacks being apprehended and questioned. One segment showed FSB operatives outside a St. Petersburg apartment building detaining a suspect, who appeared later saying he was told to prepare homemade bombs rigged with shrapnel.
“My job was to make explosives, put it in bottles and attach pieces of shrapnel,” the suspect, identified by Russian media as 18-year old Yevgeny Yefimov, said in the footage released by the FSB.
Several other suspects came from mostly Muslim regions in Russia’s volatile North Caucasus, and one man was from the ex-Soviet nation of Tajikistan that borders Afghanistan.
According to the article, Putin assured Trump that the Russians would return the favor if roles are ever reversed. The attack was planned for Saturday according to BBC.

BZ, CIA! Also it’s nice having the Russians watching our back as well 🙂
Thus DTrump builds good relations with Vlad Putin, and perhaps the pre-election collusion stuff has stopped? Just askin’.
They both look like they’re in the middle of telling each other jokes in that photo.
Has Vlad invited The Donald to his bunker mansion on the Black Sea yet?
Trump telling Putin joke:
Trump: How many Democrats does it take to screw in a light bulb?
Putin: Ah, none … we don’t have have any light bulbs in our Siberian work camps.
“Before, or after, Tea?”
Thank you! Try the cheeseburgers and be sure to tip the waitresses before you leave.
Hurray for collusion! Yeah.
But but! Russia! Bad guys!!
Anywho, it’s nice to see a public reminder that folks (or countries) that may not see eye to eye can still work together to achieve a common good.
Maybe our politicians could take note?
They’re not all sweetness & light by any means, but I’ve always felt that we had more in common with Russia than China.
“Maybe our politicians could take note?”
I suspect they need a 2×4 upside the head first, to get their attention.
9/11 was exactly that. But our politicians seem to have forgotten its lesson.
On both sides of the aisle.
Within about a year they had forgotten that lesson. Especially the Dhimms.
“Willing slave”
-still- difficult for me to believe they exist.
And Robert Mueller’s staff is demanding all the notes on the tip.
The libidiots heads explode as they read this post !!!
Word is out that we had intel on the Ain Shin Rikyo cult’s plot to release Sarin on the Tokyo Subway and sat on it instead of sharing it with the Japanese which did wonders for relations with them. Adversary or not, I see the sharing of that intel as the right thing to do, no telling how many lives were saved.
One of those nutballs is from Tajikistan. That’s a surprise. That little country, a spinoff from the breakup of the USSR, wants tourist traffic, because they don’t have the terrain or population size for industry. It is on part of the Old Silk Road trade route, and can be a mecca for hikers and mountaineers. It’s a beautiful, if extremely rugged, country with high plateaus full of old, shallow lakes.
The Tajiks want tourists. This twit is bad PR for them.
Collusion!
If I knew how to embed a picture, you’d be getting a Ruxin meme.
Now that is what I call COOLUSION.
Such cooperation is actually typical. US and Russia do see eye to eye on domestic and homeland terrorism issues.
This press is good press and highlights the need for senior leaders to chat on occasion.
Maybe we need to revive the Cold War method of the Big Three keeping a tenuous peace in place.
“Never trust a Russian” – Nikki Haley
We are going to need the Russians to help defeat the Aliens.
Which ones? Those here after sneaking across our borders or the ones from outerspace?
You let -one- Martian in…..
