Beeker on Bergdahl

| October 19, 2017

Brandon Friedman, known around TAH as Beeker, has been trying to besmirch the reputation of Bowe Bergdahl’s platoon mates at least since 2014, when we first noticed him doing that. The Daily Caller noticed that he’s back at it.

Friedman probably isn’t the best judge of military leadership – he worked for Jon Solz at Move On’s VoteVets, then when VoteVets board member, Tammy Duckworth went to Shinseki’s Department of Veterans’ Affairs, she took Friedman along with a bunch of other VoteVets writers, at the moment that their blog crashed, with a little shove from TAH. Then, as the Shinseki ship crashed on the rocks, Friedman and Duckworth jumped ship ahead of the other rats.

I guess it’s not hard for Friedman to defend Bergdahl’s walkabout, seein’s how Friedman went on a walkabout to get away from the impending leadership failures at VoteVets and at Shineki’s VA.

The shithead plead guilty. What is there to defend? He admitted he did everything he has been accused of. The trial was over before it began. The only thing left is sentencing.

Netflix has that documentary out, the confession files, in which all kind of people confess to crimes they didn’t do.

The difference is that those people confessed under pressure, while Bergdahl was treated with kid’s gloves and received as a hero by the community organizer in chief.

But that angle might be what they are trying to exploit.

Apples and oranges. A confession is made under interrogation and usually without the benefit of counsel. The conditions favor the interrogator. In my state you cannot arrest based in an uncorroborated confession, otherwise we would have arrested the guy that admitted to killing Jon Benetton Ramsey.

A plea is made in court under the advisement of counsel. They are two totally different things.

I’m gonna ask for a note from your doctor explaining how you were sick the day they taught law at law school. Because you make it sound like evidence isn’t evidence unless an attorney is present and that evidence has little bearing on plea bargains. Fail Cake.

Sentencing should be damned easy! ‘GET A ROPE”

Ex-PH2

Well, Beeker — err, Brandon, what if the real problem is that you’re full of froth, foam and gas bubbles, instead of being three quarts low?

Eden

Is his truth meter related to a certain ex-pilot’s gas gauge?

Bergdahl plead GUILTY to desertion and Misbehavior before the enemy. As in “I have no defense, I did it”
So what is this twatwaffle quacking about?
Oh, yeah, anything to stay in the news.
Loser, go away.

ChipNASA

What a *dickhead*.
Seriously.
Dick. HEAD.

I recommend you all listen to the Serial podcast on Bergdahl. Fascinating stuff, to include lots of interviews with Bergdahl himself.

Nowhere does he state or even imply that his platoon did anything remotely close to being psychopathic. He does think his leadership made some bad decisions, but from my point of view those decisions were in scenarios where someone had to pick the least bad of several bad options.

He comes across as an intelligent but not sensible immature kid that thought he was smarter than everyone else. On one hand he studied the language and culture and all of the nuances of the war, on the other hand he was the dumbest of dumb privates that believed everything that Rumor Control put out.

The Other Whitey

So he’s an idiot with delusions of genius who foolishly assumed himself to be smarter than everyone else? No wonder Beeker identifies with him!

Here’s the thing about the Holocaust and the jump-to-conclusion mats: What if Auschwitz was long on delusional schizophrenics and short on tellers of truth?

What a stupid argument. What a stupid human being.

I bet if the desertion happened during Pres. Trumps time in office, this shit bird would want the deserter shot.

Doesn’t Beeker understand that Bergdahl HAS PLEAD GUILTY? And it’s been said that he WAS an Infantry PL, he sounds like the kind of know-it-all LT that is an NCO’s nightmare, the kind I’d allow to fuck up badly enough to get relieved without endangering my Soldiers and fellow NCO’s.

CWORet

And he gets sentenced on Monday. I’ll be F5ing all day on separate tabs.

The Other Whitey

I’m told there was a time when officers like Beeker found grenades under their pillows.

There’s also the “Super Troopers” method: “Goddammit, Farva! There was a time when we’d take a guy like you out back and beat your ass with a hose. Then you got your goddamn unions!”

Rosalee Adams

Beeker appears to be too mentally challenged

Alberich

You could try to use a claim like his in mitigation of sentence…”He ran away because the psycho platoon mates were hazing him so bad he had a nervous breakdown…”

Problem is, Bergdahl already gave a really lengthy interview (to General Dahl, available online at the “Bergdahl Docket” site), and that wasn’t the story.

Also, Bergdahl himself was diagnosed with a personality disorder…Schizotypal rather than psychopathic…so accusing his unit of personality disorders is counterproductive…

Alberich

(He did try to claim that he had a problem with his battalion commander’s leadership…and that he was going to “report” it…but that will not make very good mitigation. The interview reveals that he “realized” this after he got bawled out and article-15’d for failing to wear armor outside the wire…

Also, his disloyal letter home tells you a lot more about how he was thinking at the time.)

NHSparky

Poor Beeker. Sucks when irrelevance smashes you in the face like a Louisville Slugger.

This guy is what I’d call a “seagull leader”: swoops around, shits all over everything, then leaves.

A Proud Infidel®™

“seagull leader”, I am SO gonna steal that!!!

Walking eagle…too full of shit to fly.

He is searching for relevance,

In the ashes of his reputation.

OldSoldier54

Geez … is this dingleberry for real!!??

cato

How can any American defend the cowardly act of desertion and treason?
This is beyond my comprehension.

rgr769

Easy, if you are a proglodyte or what I like to call a “Hate American,” because they really do hate us. They prove it every day, in every college, university, or other center of DemonRat thinking and power.

Tammy Duckworth is a clown.

I respect her service but she is a clown.
