Wilson sentenced

| September 11, 2017

Yesterday we talked about 56-year-old Marine Corps Colonel Daniel Wilson who was found guilty of child abuse and conduct unbecoming an officer on Saturday. He was sentenced yesterday, according to WITN;

A Camp Lejeune Marine Colonel found guilty of several charges including sexual abuse of a child has been dismissed from service and sentenced to five and a half years of confinement.

Seems pretty light to me.

Thanks to BNG for the link.

…Light in civilian terms, yes – but he is likely to go to Leavenworth.

I suspect a former O6 will not do well there.

MSG Eric

I hope he’s crying in the corner of his cell every night of that 5 and a half years from taking it in the keister and anywhere else.

Hayabusa

A former O6 and kiddie raper.

Rock

He won’t go to Levenworth as they require a minimum of a ten year sentence now, or a national security risk. He’ll more than likely spend his time at the Brig in Chesapeake, or if he requests sex offender treatment, the brig in Miramar. Either way, for his first couple of months, he starts off alone, in maximum security, not authorized to speak to any other inmate.

Mick

Too bad that they can’t keep him in the brig at Marine Corps Base Camp Lejeune for his full 5.5 year sentence.

They’d take extra-special ‘care’ of The Colonel there…

Rock

You are right. Too many dirt bags transfer from Lejeune to Chesapeake, mainly if their sentence is over six months I believe.

It’s sad that the military prison system is full of sex offenders. One of the most disgusting groups of people I’ve had to treat.

The Other Whitey

If there’s any honor among thieves, he won’t leave alive…

A Proud Infidel®™

I hope he gets stuck with a shank that was rubbed in shit!

Stacy0311

He should pull a Manning and claim to be Dainella and that xhe is being persecuted for being trans……

JimV

Does he still get his retirement pay?

Cobrakai99

No, he got the officer equivalent of a dishonorable discharge.

CWORet

That would be a great big cup of NOPE, Jim.
He’ll be eligible for Social Security (once he gets out) But that’s pretty much all that’s left for him. And probably more than he deserves for that matter.

Devtun

This guy’s pension w/ his grade & yrs of service would have been right around 100K a year after taxes. Wow – he really deep sixed it.

Mick

No retirement pay or other benefits following a dismissal from the service.

His wife and family will now also receive nothing as a result of this conviction. No retired benefits for them, either.

Rock

He could possibly get six months, if he requests it from the covening authority to specifically support his dependents, and sets up an allotment so he doesn’t see the money. The convening authority would have to approve it though, but it would be pay to benefit his wife basically.

OC

So this douche gets 5-1/2 years. Big effing deal.
The kid(s) he abused have a life sentence….

Silentium Est Aureum

Bingo. Also consider sexual offenders have an incredibly high rate of recidivism.

Early release? From a C-17, maybe.

The Other Whitey

Why isn’t this cocksucker’s existence being cancelled?

Ex-PH2

Oh, you guys are far too nice. He gets only 5.5 years in prison. After he leaves, then what? He looks for a job?

He should be required to wear a tattoo on his forehead that spells out clearly what he is: P-E-D-O.

He can starve to death for all I care.

SFC D

Tattoo? Negative. Brand it on there.

The Other Whitey

How about the Aldo Raine method?

AnotherPat

Since he was convicted in a military court system, would he still be registered as a Sex Offender?

River Rat, RVN

AnotherPat: Yes he will. It’s still a Federal crime. Handled one while working as a Congressional Staffer.

A Proud Infidel®™

May he spend his time in solitary and wander the streets homeless for the rest of his days.

Sparks

When he gets out he’ll have to register as a sex offender forever. But, I hope he doesn’t make it out after the shower accidents.

Old 1SG, US Army (Retired)

Way to go douche bag…

He really screwed his wife over, after putting up with his shit for how ever many years she ends up with a big zero…

A Proud Infidel®™

He royally screwed his kids over as well.

Starbux

Thats only true for Enlisted. All officers go to Leavenworth. Unless that changed since 2003. When I commissioned we were briefed by a AFJAG officer back in 03 who said all officers due their time at the USDB. I personally know a former Major who is sitting in there on a three year stint for a similar crime.

Rock

This has changed since 2003. All inmates under 10 years go to a brig or a regional confinement facility, whichever is closer or whatever meets their needs. Over ten, or a national security risk, they go to Leavenworth.

Trust me, I treated plenty of pre-trial and post-trial confinees at the brig that were officers.

Just An Old Dog

Wonder how much time he will actually serve?
Military Prisons/Brigs are no picnic, but they are run by the guards.
Civilian Prisons are run by the shot callers who respect the guard’s authority to a large extent.
This bag of shit would be a trophy in civilian facility. He would have to be in the SHU full time. Even then a shot caller could have him shanked.

Wee willy

Sure am glad that at least one of these ‘above the law’ senior officers has found out where the bear shit in the woods. Too bad. He must have had other exemplary qualities before getting busted for weenie waving or whatever.

I bet it was not his first time either.

Pinto Nag

And just think….when he gets out, he’ll find some nice quiet neighborhood and show the civilian kiddies what he did while he was in the military.

His sentence should have been a short walk to the nearest alley and a bullet through the back of his head.

A Proud Infidel®™

Alley hell, shoot him dead somewhere out in the boonies, vultures and maggots have to eat too, ya know!
