Monday morning feel good stories

From Dauphin County, Pennsylvania;

Police say the suspect forced his way into the home with a baseball bat, and was met by the homeowner who shot him. The suspect was taken to a local hospital where he later died.

When officers arrived at the initial callers residence and found an elderly woman suffering from head trauma. She was taken to Hershey Medical Center. Her condition is unknown.

Police are unsure how the elderly woman became injured, but believe that a domestic dispute occurred between a resident of the home and the suspect.

From Broward County, Florida;

Weston homeowners watched on their home security cameras as two burglars crept through their home, 2536 Monterey Court.

When deputies arrived about 3 a.m. they encountered two teen boys, a spokeswoman from the Broward Sheriff’s Office said.

Deputies shot one of the boys outside the home. He is hospitalized at Broward Health Medical Center with injuries that are not life-threatening.

The other teen was arrested.

From San Diego, California;

A couple were inside their home on the 4600 block of Dwight Street when they heard Gustavo Fernandez, 23, pounding on the front door at 11:15 p.m. Saturday, said Officer Robert Heims of the San Diego Police Department.

“The suspect broke a window, reached in and opened the front door,” Heims said. “He entered the house and confronted the residents. The male victim stabbed the suspect in the stomach and then ran out of the house. The suspect chased the victim outside.”

Fernandez continued to chase the homeowner until police arrived and took him into custody.

I thought it was “don’t bring a knife to a gun fight”. But with the state of today’s education, I could see that being dumbed down to a baseball bat.

Certain States only allow you to have a knife, and that may end before too long.
