Shots Fired on Earth Day 2017
On Earth Day (4-22-2017), late at night after a parade, someone did a drive-by shooting, firing seven (count ‘em – 7 casings found) at the 4th floor of National Space Science and Technology Center (NSSTC) building at UAH where John Christy, a specific climate scientist works. It is no coincidence that Dr. Spencer is a skeptic about the popular notion that we puny humans are responsible for, and bear the entire burden of guilt for, a natural occurrence that is showing distinct signs of changing.
I am quoting Dr. Spencer here: “When some people cannot argue facts, they resort to violence to get their way.”
The article is a relay of those events at UAH to WUWT, plus a link to Dr. Spencer’s blog.
This is not science at work. It is mob violence and political terrorism, the lowest form of behavior modern humans can engage in.
You may also be interested in Neil deGrasse Tyson’s self-aggrandizing efforts in another article on WUWT, labeling elected ‘science deniers’ as a threat to democracy. Now since he makes such a generalized statement, it means that anyone who does not follow the diktats prescribed by the Noisy Few (like Tyson) are people who should be viewed with suspicion.
I’m really not sure what he means by ‘science deniers’, because he isn’t rattling on about physics or genetics or chemistry. No, he zooms in on the buzzword “climate”, as it is the current bone of contention. Like Bill Nye, the not-so-scientific Science Guy, he grabs the spotlight whenever he can. Tyson tried to dictate the terms that define a planet, and failed, as his dethronement of Pluto was rescinded by the IAU when that august body declared Pluto (with 4 satellites) and Ceres both as dwarf planets. It must have hurt.
In a democracy, all views are allowed to be heard. People like Tyson and Nye and Mann refuse to acknowledge this aspect. It represents a threat to their finances and their public status.
We can agree to disagree on something without trying to destroy each other in the process, but they don’t want this. In their perfect worlds, only their views are allowed to be heard.
If our tax money is to go into research to provide answers to the puzzles this planet presents to us, and it does go there, then denying an opposing view, or attempting to use an unrelated law to prosecute those who have the opposing view is Lysenkoism at its worst. It is not science at work. It is politics.
Social media may be a waste of time in many respects, but in this case, without this near-instantaneous relay of this drive-by shooting, which was not reported in the press, we would not have a clue about what is really happening with the surging hordes of the Crazypants protesters. I did look at still shots of the Earth Day marchers and saw several wearing those pink pussy hats. What do those idiotic separatist symbols have to do with Earth Day?
Nothing.
Dr. Spencer is correct: the protesters frequently cannot even articulate their angst or viewpoint when confronted or questioned. Their response is, instead, a resort to mob violence. Are we to submit to mindless executions and destruction if we refuse to knuckle under to the lies of dictatorships?
That is not what science is about. Refusing to even allow the notion of a different point of view is as Medieval as you can get. This is NOT the era of Galileo and Pope Urban VIII.
We must stay alert.

Liberals are OK with the views of others. I need to point out, though, that the views of others must parallel their views. Dissent is not tolerated.
Too harsh, maybe?
There are cracks showing in the protests. If they can’t get enough TV people to show up, it kind of fizzles.
One of these days, sadly, these facists-clothing-themselves-as-scientists (Lookin’ at you, Bill Nye the White Guy) are going to get some of what they’ve been dishin’ out returned to them.
Kinda like “Moldy-haired-girl” who tried to throat-punch the guy who responded in kind – and laid her out like she’s never been laid before.
Clarification – not advocating this, but observing that some folks will only get pushed so far before they resort to violence in response to violence.
To be fair, she does Pr0n so she’s probably been laid pretty hard before.
Only by equally hairy and smelly hipsters, so nah, not really.
Unless you consider getting tapped on your head with a feather having your brains beaten in.
“Are we to submit to mindless executions and destruction if we refuse to knuckle under to the lies of dictatorships?”
That is an excellent point, Ex-PH2, because as most of us here at TAH already know, the “Big Lie” has been tried before, with similar catastrophic results:
‘Joseph Goebbels: On the “Big Lie”‘
http://www.jewishvirtuallibrary.org/joseph-goebbels-on-the-quot-big-lie-quot
“If you tell a lie big enough and keep repeating it, people will eventually come to believe it. The lie can be maintained only for such time as the State can shield the people from the political, economic and/or military consequences of the lie. It thus becomes vitally important for the State to use all of its powers to repress dissent, for the truth is the mortal enemy of the lie, and thus by extension, the truth is the greatest enemy of the State.”
If “Truth” is the enemy of your intended “State”, you are doing it wrong.
Explain that view, please, 11B.
Seriously?
DRG looking for mailbox’s and cisco?
None of this is about actual science. Follow the money.
Always, hence my statement: In a democracy, all views are allowed to be heard. People like Tyson and Nye and Mann refuse to acknowledge this aspect. It represents a threat to their finances and their public status.
And I have addressed that same ‘follow the money’ aspect before, more than once. Always follow the money.
“Always follow the money.”
YEP!
Another climate denying circle jerk. This thread is too stupid to even bother with today.
A – Then why do you even bother to post a comment on this thread?
and
B – You didn’t read anything I wrote, as always, because like the others of your ilk, you do not tolerate open discussion or differences of opinion. Their only interest is lining their pockets at taxpayers’ expense.
and
C – Since Huntsville, AL, and the University of Alabama at Huntsville (UAH) are involved with each other in the space program, explain the reasoning behind a drive-by shooting at a university building. Oh, that’s right, you don’t have an explanation. You just want to pick a fight, so you use your usual TRIGGER WORDS.
Try these trigger words: Commissar, FUCK OFF AND DIE.
Ditto. And to cheer you up, PH-2, go over to Ace of Spades and read the post re Chelsea Clinton’s tweet about the bogus letter she claims she wrote to Pres. Reagan as a five year old. Make sure you read the comments, they are a comedy gold.
The only one doing any denying around here is you, Commissar.
Exactly how does one deny climate?
I’ll say this for Commissar. The boy has no quit in him. Clearly, he intends to remain an asshole to the bitter end.
His ex wife will be cooing in his ear at the moment of his death, “Trump has been impeached.”.
*Snicker*, Roger. I see what you did there.
Even though I still enjoy laughing at Babbles McButthead, I still wish my ex-Wife on him!
Be a lot better when his future roomie Bradley Manning is screeching that Trump got reelected.
Put your dogmatic little condescension back on the leash, Lars. It’s been trying to hump my leg.
This has been a TAH discussion topic repeatedly, and it always comes back to the fact you have a problem when others show a healthy skepticism about the demonstrably weak data on the anthropogenic aspect of climate change research. Something that could impact the lives of everyone on the planet. Of course people are going to question the science, and it’s being narrow minded to not understand why they should.
If it will make you feel any better, I spent part of last week running the numbers for solar panels on my house. But I’ll also say this: I am not a good prospect for owning an “adorable” self-driving Google mobile, nor plan to freeze my ass off next winter because some climate change acolyte thinks it’s politically correct.
Commissar, you know nothing, and you prove it every time you post here.
“Another climate denying circle jerk.”
And Chicken Little Lars is the pivot man, congrats.
No way you saw my reference to Chicken Little before you posted your cmt. See mine below.
You are correct, I did not. All I can say is, Great Minds Think Alike.
*grin*
Hau ab, Herr Kommissar.
Lars T. aka Babbles McButthead, do you enjoy making yourself everyone’s favorite punching bag/chew toy? I’m certain the answer is YES.
Well, he fantasizes about Hillary Clinton with a baseball bat, so…
And a good pegging from a Clintoon.
And yet here you are.
“Another climate denying circle jerk.” Yes, Lars, you do get to eat the slice of bread again.
Commissar, aka: Commissar – you all wee wee’d up over another marxist/libtard talking point? Gonna throw out some of your famous “empiric data” to try and convince us that you are right and we are wrong? Do you believe Nye? He’s a fucking ENGINEER, not a scientist. Mann’s been dealing with fallout over skewing his “data” for years. And Tyson is nothing but an attention whore that has been riding the coattails of Carl Sagan.
So, I’d like to express my sentiments on you and your opinion… Major Dunsel, SHUT THE FUCK UP!
Tyson couldn’t be more of a whore if he started selling cheap blowjobs at the Bunny Ranch.
Here’s an update, the news report about the shooting. It has been termed a random shooting.
http://whnt.com/2017/04/24/multiple-shots-fired-into-uah-building-over-the-weekend/
This shooting doesn’t make any sense. Why the Spencer Center building, why so many bullets expelled, and why so specifically targeted?
I doubt that any answers will be forthcoming, although there was another story about some woman’s car being shot into at around 1:30AM, same date, near a campus coffee shop.
Neither incident seems like random shooting to me.
The NSST building is used for space science and technology research by NASA, since some person seems to have missed that point completely.
This is kind of interesting. I’m sure the “gun guys” who read this blog know where I’m going with this. Compared to, say, 9mm, .40 S&W, or .45 ACP, the Belgian 5.7X28mm round is relatively obscure in the U.S., and the guns that shoot it are pretty expensive and not all that common. Some government agencies use it, most notably the Secret Service, but I haven’t seen too many in private hands.
Not what you would normally expect too see in your usual “random” gang-related drive-by shooting, is what I’m getting at.
5.7mm, you say? That shit don’t come cheap, and compatible bullet launchers are indeed rare and expensive on the civilian market (though strangely not illegal in California). Suffice it to say, it’s definitely not the average Joe’s plinking round.
Despite the “cool” factor it gets from Hollywood and the overblown reputation of its supposed armor defeating capability*, you’re not likely to see it in the hands of some random banger when they can get four glocks or a dozen shitty throwaway HiPoints shooting much more readily-available ammo for the same price.
* My understanding is that a burst from a P90 SMG’s long barrel will chew through a lot of bullet-stopping material; semiauto shots from the FiveseveN’s short pistol barrel, not so much.
I would not expect to see the 5.7X28mm in a case like this.
And I find the fact that the university police have decided that it is a
to be a bit odd. That just smells like a cover-up to me.
” … smells like a cover-up to me.”
… and politically motivated at that.
I was curious about that rather detailed description myself, Hayabusa. Also, the description of precision firing interested me. That does not sound like the work of an amateur.
By that token, nor the work of your typical anti-denier liberal… I mean, really, how large of a cross-section is there between climate change activists, rare gun owners, and liberals who would shoot up a building?
Get yourself one:

Kinda the point, LC. If we’re following the money, then a lot of people with a vested financial interest in promoting the climate change narrative have the means to pay an unscrupulous individual with such a weapon to pull a little kristallnacht-style intimidation. It would be smarter to use more generic hardware, but such individuals tend to not be as smart as they think they are.
Fair enough, but it’s all speculation – I read this article pretty fast, but it seemed the initial implication was that since the ‘denier’ was possibly a target, eeeevil liberals were behind this. But it’s just as easy to speculate that it was a false flag by a conservative to blame liberals, since most liberals wouldn’t have guns like that.
Simply put, we don’t know much, and each side is going to blame the other. Shocking, isn’t it?
I personally don’t put much stock in one-off things; if people skeptical of climate change start getting shot at with some decent frequency, I’ll obviously pay a lot more attention, but I can point to one-offs that fit any narrative. They’re simply not much use beyond riling people up, in my opinion. I’m all for a less ‘reactionary’ media / population.
“if people skeptical of climate change start getting shot at with some decent frequency, I’ll obviously pay a lot more attention” That’s the way I feel about assassinations of office holders. Shoot one, who knows? Shoot two? Maybe a coincidence. Shoot three? Yeah, I’m starting to wonder. When four and five get taken out, well, hell, I’m ready to make a conclusive pronouncement.
Once is an anomaly, twice is a trend.
Always follow the money. Always….
There’s big money on both sides, isn’t there? In fact, I’d guess (and will look this up tomorrow) there’s probably more fluid money on the ‘climate change is fake’ side than on the ‘climate change is real’ side, at least historically. Maybe that’s changing now.
The point is, it’s hard to follow the money to a specific conclusion when it leads everywhere.
70 yards away with what was evidently a handgun? (I’m not familiar enough with the round to know if there are any rifles chambered in 5.7x22mm.)
They don’t say what the grouping was at that range – but three in the glass four in the rock could be a large spread, assuming the perp was shooting with a rest of some sort (car window edge?).
The perp did not police his brass – either they wanted to leave that behind as a statement, or they really are amateurs.
If the UHA kiddie-kops really wanted to follow that trail, it shouldn’t be too hard. For now, I’m calling ‘BS’ on the ‘random’ tag.
There are semi and full auto rifles chambered for this cartridge. You can buy an upper for an AR-15 lower receiver that will fire this ammo. Of course they are illegal in the totally progtard controlled states because they take a 50 round magazine.
rgr769, UAH is the University of Alabama at Hunstville.
Alabama is not a progtard state.
That was an aside. I wasn’t implying they are illegal in Alabama or that it is a progtard state; it surely is not. These rifles with the 50 round horizontal, over-barrel magazine are illegal in the states where large capacity magazine semi-autos are verboten, e.g., California, New York, Maryland, Conn., etc. Neither the FN pistols nor the rifles are likely random drive by gear, as others have observed. I was simply responding to Graybeard’s query as to whether there were rifles around that fired this 5.7mm cartridge that was apparently used in the subject shooting.
When Al Gore did his Chicken Little horror film, any chance that the climate-change-is-man-made-and-can-be-controlled-by-man group lost me. Add that bullshit carbon credit ponzi scheme to it and fahgetaboutit. Science is science and is not subject to majority rule. That the earth’s temp has risen in the last 100 years says nothing in itself. That some scientists aren’t on the bandwagon interests me much more than those who are. Many a dissenting opinion has come to later rule the roost and be recognized as correct. So, screw this ‘inconvenient truth.’
Well 2/17, for Lars, Gore, and all the other climate nazi’s, the truth is inconvenient…
Zactly. It’s the name game played so commonly by critters: give a law a good name and people will wrongly assume it’s actually what its name indicates. When An In convenient Truth was released and Algore was associated with it, I knew immediately that the only truth in it would be found only in its title. The content was pure fiction and sensational speculation.
I figured that Gore himself must not believe it, given that he did his promo tour in his private jet, talked about carbon footprints from his mansion that lacked so much as a single insulated window, and pitched population control before going home to his four kids.
Gore is cool with using useful idiots to get lots and lots of money … which hypocrisy is right up there with Ahab and Jezebel Clinton pretending to be pious disciples of the Most High.
Back in the ’60s the SJW told us we would all freeze to death from all of the pollution by 1990; now we’ll roast to death. I will admit “Out in the Country” by Three Dog Night was a good song, the breathing ain’t gone.
When I was in elementary school in the early/mid-90s, they told us that the ozone layer was fucked, we’d be unable to spend more than 5 minutes outside without being mortally injured by sun exposure, and Australia would be uninhabitable, all by the time we graduated high school. I graduated in 2002. The sky in 2017 is as blue as ever, and the Aussies haven’t died off yet, so I’m thinking maybe they fed us a line of falling-sky bullshit.
I grew up in a small town in the Midwest, my teachers were on us to tell our parents to stockpile can goods and find alternative sources of heat because an ice age was coming. The nightly news told us the same. This was the mid 70’s, no shit my parents had 30cases of vegetables and put in a wood burning stove and 3 cords of wood. Well we never froze to death and dad said it was all bullshit and stopped listening to the ‘intellectuals’ Lars can kiss my lived through it ass. But I was an enlisted Marine Sgt. Not an Army officer, what do I know of my actual experience in the real world. Friggin idiot.
Where I live, the sky is as blue and clear when the clouds move out as the photo I shot, up at the top. Even Chicago on a sunny day is as clear as a bell, and yet, the idiot anchors at local news stations keep telling us how polluted it all is.
I guess they never go outside if they don’t have to.
However, if this was a one-off meant to scare someone who basically works for NASA, I shouldn’t think that finding the jerk would be all that difficult if the gun and the ammo are somewhat sparse, and expensive.
I think it was more of a scare tactic than anything else. I was curious about the fact that the gun and ammo are Belgian in origin.
Earth Day is a cocksucker.
Look at who created it.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ira_Einhorn
“his lawyer, Arlen Spectre” That guy was always a douche…
Both are sucking the Barbed Cock of Satan… at the lowest levels of Hell.
Funny, I live in Huntsville/Madison and haven’t heard a thing about this until right now reading TAH. Seems that something like this would/should garner more attention. Something certainly doesn’t smell right.
It didn’t start to appear on the internet newslinks until about an hour before supper.
Ever since the first Earth Day (which for some strange reason is also Vladimir Lenin’s Birthday)we’ve been hearing that the end of human civilization and life as we know it is only five to ten years away.
Didn’t one of the cofounders of Earth Day kill his wife and dump the body in a compost pile?
Co-founder? Hell, he was the founder and the only MC at the first earth day staged celebration, according to NBC News. His name is Ira Einhorn. He was an anti-war activist who was against violence, except where his ex-girlfriend was concerned. He murdered her, stuffed her in a trunk, and his crime was discovered only when neighbors complained about the stench and drippings coming from his apartment. He flew the coop but was caught, blamed the CIA, and was packed off to prison. He has been written out of Earth Day history. Like Jared and Subway, Ira is not a good association for the Earthenwares. The official founder is some senator who wasn’t even present for the first Earth day.
Funny how the proggies always “disappear” any inconvenient fact or person from their contrived narratives they call history. Kind of reminds one of Uncle Joe Stalin’s antics with recent history. One thing you can say for the lifelong proglodytes, they don’t have a problem disposing of “inconvenient” friends or lovers.
Some bad history there. I think you are mixing Einhorn up with John McConnell and some mix up with the senators.
Einhorn did kill his old lady and was an MC at the Philly Earth Day but the larger one was in NYC. He was a radio host not an activist. It was organized by Peacenik McConnell. Also Sen. Muskie was a keynote speaker in Philly.
Sen. Gaylord organized a completely different Earth Day so he would not have been at the “first one”.
Still trying, eh, The Old Major? I referred to NBC News as my source. Here’s the link. If you want to contact NBC regarding the “bad history” reported, you go right ahead. http://www.nbcnews.com/id/42711922/ns/technology_and_science-science/t/earth-day-co-founder-killed-composted-girlfriend/
As for mixing people up, I didn’t. Muskie was a keynote speaker in Philly, sure, but not the MC. That was Einhorn. And Gaylord did not organize a completely different Earth Day. He is the recognized founder of Earth Day. Google him. I won’t do everything for you. As for Einhorn not being an activist, you could be more wrong, I suppose, I just don’t know how. But keep trying with me. Maybe one day your butt will stop hurting from my spotlighting, at your invitation, that bullshit story you told here a few weeks ago.
I really do think all these people who get so hysterical really need their own planet so that the rest of us can get on with our lives.
So here’s a thought: according to the most recent estimate, the number of Sun-type starts (yellow dwarfs) that may occupy space in the Milky Way is around 100 millions. There are already numerous red dwarfs with rocky planets in the Goldilocks zone, so the hunt is on for Earth-type rocky planets in orbit around the yellow dwarf stars, and the guesstimate is that they number somewhere in the 40 millions ++ range. That’s a lot of habitable worlds.
There’s also a push to find a coherent signal that indicates an alien civilization, even if it isn’t trying to contact us directly.
Since the people who are protesting want to reduce EArth’s population by a serious margin, I think they should be designated as the first colonists for the nearest Earth-type planet, even if it takes a lifetime for them to get there. In the 17th century in England, when people could not find work and resorted to a life of crime, they were deported to the colonies (the New World) and eventually to Australia.
Deportation would likely clear out a HUUUGE population group of slackers, criminals, and malcontents, and the rest of us could live in peace.
They could go to Ceti Alpha V. Garden spot of the Ceti Alpha system.
Mankind has been predicting the end of the Earth since the beginning of civilization.
This is all superstition akin to voodoo dolls, Ouija boards, palmistry and fortune tellers if you want the truth.
Just superstition.
The crap coming from these so called climate scientists is the same crap that the Inca’s told their subjects whenever there was a red Moon or the rains didn’t come or something out of the ordinary.
So, with that in mind I would imagine that these klowne’s will start sacrificing virgins to appease the God’s at some point in time…
Why is it always the virgins when it comes to religion crap…
I have a tough time accepting that a liberal could: find, load and shoot accurately a gun in 5.7mm. Guns being icky and all.
Please have your hippies spayed and neutered.
Thank you.
‘The Days of Rage’ are coming again. Be safe brothers and sisters!
