Saturday morning feel good stories

From Empire, California;

Two people were robbed by three men and a woman about 11:20 p.m. Wednesday at Oregon Park, according to Stanislaus County sheriff’s deputies. The robbers all left the scene before officers arrived.

About 20 minutes later, officers received a call of a home invasion with a man shot in the 5200 block of Campos Place in Empire.

Deputies found the man dead inside the home, and a 15-year-old boy was being detained by a homeowner, the department said.

A third man and a woman were seen leaving the home immediately after the shooting.

Homicide detectives discovered that the homeowner shot and killed the intruder during a struggle inside the home.

The teen, whose identity is being withheld at this time because of his age, was arrested on charges of homicide, home invasion, robbery and a prior outstanding arrest warrant, deputies said.

Investigators believe the robbery at Oregon Park and the home invasion are connected and that the crimes were not random acts of violence.

From Warren, Michigan;

The gas station clerk said a customer left his Dodge Challenger running outside as he went to pay inside just before 4 a.m. When he was inside he looked out the window and saw someone in his car.

The customer ran outside and fired two shots at the person in his car, who was struck in the neck. The car ended up hitting a pole as the person jumped out of the window and fled on foot.

The shooter was taken away by police to be questioned.

The other day we talked about a DRT in Foley, Alabama. Two more have been arrested in the case;

According to the Foley Police Department, 32-year-old Adam Bond and 20-year-old Katlyn White helped plan and carry out the home invasion.

The crime happened Tuesday night at the home and business of Elite Marine on Chestnut Drive.

Authorities say the homeowner shot and killed the intruder, 20-year-old Sedrick Jemison, in self-defense.

Investigators say White was the getaway driver and Bond was on lookout.

Both have been charged with first degree burglary and robbery.

They’re both looking at charges for the murder of the pal, Sedrick.

When Thugs get shot and killed during the commission of their crime, their partners will get the murder charge. Is it really worth the risk, punks?

One LEO I’m friends with once told me they rarely have the time to go after the “Smart Criminals”‘because the stupid ones keep them busy 24/7. I have NO doubt we’ll keep seeing and endless stream of stupid goblins because they never think about consequences, they only focus on what they want right here, right now.

Virtual Insanity

FWIW, my daughter works for the local PD detectives’ office, where among other tasks she transcribes interviews, builds case files, and registers felons and sex offenders.

She will tell you the myth of the criminal mastermind is just that–a myth. They turn to crime because they are too stupid to make a buck legally.

Sometimes the stupid is genetic. Sometimes it’s chemically induced.

They are always stupid.

Sometimes they go so far as to be stoopid. It’s even a level below real stupid.

That Michigan dude might have shot up his own car and certainly contributed to it wrapped around a pole…and now quite likely faces serious charges….I could give a damn less about the thief but it seems it was all emotion and no thought applied to a non life threatening situation..then again, I see a lot of assholes driving dodge challengers and other “muscle cars”
