Thornberry; Obama holdovers thwart Mattis’ attempts to rebuild Pentagon
The Daily Caller reports that Chairman of the House Committee on Armed Services Mac Thornberry told the media that Defense Secretary James Mattis is having trouble rebuilding the military because of Obama holdovers;
“I am concerned that … to fix these problems [it] is going to take a lot more money, and yet a lot of the folks who are coming up with the budget to fix them are the same people who have been fighting every step of the way against our efforts to fix these problems,”

Thornberry emphasized that Mattis can’t solve the problem by himself, and that the slow process of filling defense roles at the Pentagon is preventing the Trump administration from fulfilling its promise to rebuild the military. He also said the issue goes beyond budgets, and that the U.S. has a moral obligation to support the troops.
That’s no surprise, and it’s why Mattis was hired for the job. I expect Mattis to erect gallows in the Pentagon parking lot. Or guillotines.
It’s the way things work; the Left dismantles the defense structure so they can feel good about themselves hoping that the Right will rebuild it.

Having been in one of his commands I can tell you this: Mattis isn’t one to let a shit bag shuffle off and retire quietly at your 20 or 30 year mark.
If you aren’t doing your fucking job he has no problem telling you to GTFO.

Obama worked hard to purge the military of effective combat leaders and replace them with SJW insurgents whose goal is to degrade it, not enhance.

Washington just doesn’t work that fast. While I’d like to point the finger at Obama hold overs, its pointless when the current administration hasn’t nominated people for the critical 2nd and 3rd tier position in the Pentagon bureaucracy (USD for Policy, USD P & R, USD-I, all the Assistant Secretaries).
I think that what is happening is that Trump releys on those in charge of the different departments to handle the people under them. Trump puts them in charge, lets them hire who they think will do the job and will ok the picks. The Dems are obstructing this with every tantrum in their bodies. Once the cabinet and senior positions are filled it will roll along much faster. Remember, we are only 3 weeks in.
I have to agree, I’ve already read plenty of accounts of the previous administration’s holdovers doing all they can to sabotage the transition to President Trump’s Administration, they’re acting like spoiled toddlers with dirty diapers having a hissyfit!

You don’t have to knife hand ALL of the asshats in the Pentagon. Just 10~15. The rest of them will get the message and pack their trash.

Sounds like Mad Dog and those who support him, including myself, need to consider options to give him all possible aid and assistance, to include doing whatever may be possible to render those persons who oppose efforts to reinstate military strength and readiness to the point where the United States may defend itself in the event of any possible conflicts or other contingency, inoperable or otherwise no longer capable of offering such opposition and obstructions. Whether this involves forcing such persons into permanent disability retirement confining them to their residences, administering to them corporal discipline measures including the use of “blanket parties”, inducing their exposure to diseases of the kind rendering them incapable of health, or whatever needs to be done to accomplish the task of taking those holdovers that prefer deference to Barack Obama and or his traitorous colleagues, and rendering them no longer capable of offering problems.
trump seems to be the type of guy that hires the most competent people he can and then sets them loose with the faith they will do the job. I think Mattis is about to stomp some ass and all those ass licking social climbers in the Dept Of Defense that went upwards because they went along and not because they are competent are in for a rude awakening. This goes for the other departments as well.
