Apparently, the libidiot SJW set claims that many newer animated and/or children’s films are racist and/or sexist. Those films deemed by SJWs to be racist or sexist – or both – include Sausage Party (decidedly not a children’s film); The Secret Lives of Pets; and Disney’s latest, Sing. Not to be outdone, some British SJWs claim that many if not all Disney children’s movies are racist, sexist, or both – and have convinced British educational authorities to approve lesson plans teaching that to kids in British schools.

True, I chose to use that video as an example of what idiots I find SJWs to be. That and it’s at UC Berserkely.
My favorite movie as a small child was “Dumbo.” Now I’m told that it’s horrifyingly racist because of the Crows, who were admittedly a bit caricatured, though it was made in a very different time and I wasn’t associating them with black people at age 5. Instead, I noticed, then and now, that the Crows were the only ones in the whole movie apart from his mom and the one mouse that didn’t automatically treat Dumbo like shit over his ears. In fact, they were cool to him right from the getgo and helped him overcome his issues and learn to fly. He never would’ve been able to do that without their help.
So I look at it this way: is “Dumbo” really racist, or is it subtly teaching that racism is bullshit?
I’ll take answer #2, TOW – racism is bullshit.

One of the “lessons” from Dumbo and Song of the South was that folks is just folks. That the Crows in Dumbo, and James Baskett in Song of the South used dialectical language is part of that lesson – and part of history.
To pretend it is “racism” is intentional self-delusion without consideration of the context of the films, the times, or reality.
It would be just as stupid to insist that movies all have to have their actors speaking the same dialect – American News, Scots, Irish, Italian-immigrant, whatever.

I was thinking of “Song of the South” while reading Hondo’s post. I wonder how many SJWs are aware of that movie, much less seen it? I’d love to watch their heads go ‘splody.
Now, see, if they’re attacking Disney, they’re also attacking Princess Aurora from ‘Sleeping Beauty’ and I resent that, because in my 12-year-old mind, I was Princess Aurora/Briar Rose, and I can have all the daydream fantasies I want to. I also thought SGT Rock in the comic books, which my mother threw away, was a hunk.
Somehow, I think I was and am far more normal than these people who are protesting every single thing they see around them. They are only getting notice because they make a lot of noise through social media. But instead of saying things that make sense, e.g., ‘Sausage Party’ definitely not suitable for children, they take offense at almost the entire world’s existence.
I’d bet money they would object to white-collared ravens. They don’t even understand their own species, nor would they believe you for one second if you said ‘the great apes such as gorillas and chimpanzees are KNOWN to make war on and kill each other off, and gang up on a clan member on a whim’. They would not believe you, in spite of your being able to show them Jane Goodall’s thorough research of the subject.
This is all hogwash. The need to read Desmond Morris’s ‘The Naked Ape’. Denial of the real world, or twisting it to suit your fantasies or butthurt notions, is a definite sign of mental illness.

I live somewhere in “Red State America” in a State that allows law-abiding folks to pack heat, let some of the little shits try to block the road in front of me and I won’t give a shit, I’ll stomp on the gas pedal and see how good of a deer/brush guard I bought for my pickup and the moment any of them messes with my Wife, Kids, home or pets their lives mean NOTHING to me.
