Thursday morning feel good stories

| April 21, 2016

A homeowner in Denver, Colorado is not facing charges for shooting a burglar who broke into his home on Monday. After the criminal was treated for his new orifices, he was held in the local hoosegow on burglary charges.

A woman in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, accidentally shot herself in the leg while defending herself against a burglar. The thief left the scene without any stolen property, and the woman’s injuries were non-life-threatening, so I guess it was a winning strategy in the end – but not one that I recommend. Train with your gun before you use it.

A man knocked on a door in Sapulpa, Oklahoma, and he was shot when the resident opened the door. The police are calling it a home invasion, so you’ll have to fill in the details for yourself. In an updated article, they report that he forced his way into the apartment and that he was shot by the resident. Still no word on his condition.

Note to the Bad Gjys:
Behind many doors is a legally armed citizen, determined to protect life and property. Expect to see a pool of blood spreading from around your body.

Training and RANGE TIME are very necessary for those who wish to procure and/or carry a firearm for self and home defense. I sincerely hope that the young lady recovers quickly and painlessly and gets herself a copious amount of what I mentioned. Frankie is absolutely right, but being familiar and trained with your weapon is also essential.

It’s like driving a car, you train to drive a car, why not train to use a weapon? It only makes sense

“A homeowner in Denver Colorado is not facing charges. . .”
Awww, ain’t that nice of the po-po. (eyeroll).

A homeowner in Denver, Colorado is not facing charges? But — I thought guns weren’t allowed there, or something.

‘Train with your gun before you use it.’ That should also include ‘before you BUY it’. And get more practice, too.

As best I know, Colorado was the first state to use the phrase “Castle Doctrine”, allowing the use of deadly force on one’s private property. I don’t know of any excessive gun denial there.
