Wednesday morning feel good stories

| March 30, 2016

This morning we read about a homeowner in Mount Orab, Ohio, who encountered two burglars in his home and fired at them. he may have hit his targets, but they left the scene at a high rate of speed – but not before the dog could also bite one of them.

In Saint Louis, Missouri, a fellow chased a car thief who made off with his automobile. He busted caps at the thief a few times, but it’s not clear if anyone was wounded.

In Terrell, Texas, a 61-year-old woman grabbed for her gun when she heard folks breaking into her home. She busted caps on the first one she saw, but she ran out of ammo and when the unwounded guy heard the firing pin fall on an empty chamber, he beat her pretty badly. They escaped, but the police picked them both up at the hospital.

Last week in Beloit, Wisconsin, Joshua Smiley and William Slawson decided to rob a home where DeAngelo Evans was playing video games with the homeowner. He watched the home invasion from the top of the stairs when the pair of thugs pushed the homeowner to the floor. It was then that the masked man, Smiley, saw Evans and approached him on the stairs. When Smiley checked his footing, Evans pulled out his legal and licensed .357 Magnum and drilled the Smiley twice, then fled up the stairs and out a window. Smiley was DOT (dead over there) at the hospital. Evans turned himself into the police and presented the gun and expended rounds to them. The police are certain that it was a self-defense situation.

In Pasagoula, Mississippi, two thieves ended up stabbed when they forced their way into a home, one was DOT (dead over there) at the hospital, the other is wounded.

Glad to see dogs participating in the Home Defense System method.

Where’d the dog bite the invader? In the living room. Thank you. I’ll be here til the weekend. Try the chicken.

I wonder if that TV crime show trick works–recovering a tissue sample from the dog’s mouth for DNA?

That poor lady in Terrell Texas needs range time, at least an extra magazine and probably a double stack magazine of a large caliber weapon so the last sound the puke hears is him saying goodbye to Earth and all its trappings…

betcha money she had a revolver, has only fired it single action, and sprayed the landscape. Almost no one actually practices double action any more, like practicing a rifle standing. Most ranges won’t even allow it.

Good point. I never shot a deer from the prone position.
