Thursday morning feel good stories
In Las Vegas, Nevada, Joey Imerti met an intruder breaking into his house at the window the criminal was using and fired two shots at the crook until his rifle misfired and the bad guy ran off.
In Little Rock, Arkansas a homeowner was injured when his wife struggled with intruders into their home. The homeowner was able to return fire and struck the crook in the chest twice, and in the legs. Both were treated for their non-life-threatening injuries.
In Alton, Illinois, an armed intruder, wearing body armor, shot himself in the hand when he got in a struggle with the resident. He was arrested for being a felon with a handgun.
Bobo sends us a link to the story of a 65-year-old woman in Manchester, New Hampshire who shot a 23-year-old who assaulted her outside her home. She says that she has owned the gun for ten years and this is the first time that she had to protect herself with it. The criminal was arraigned from his hospital bed.
UpNorth sends a link to a story which happened in Detroit, Michigan where a fellow on the street announced that he was sticking up a concealed weapon carrier, and the licensed gun owner refused to submit and sent the criminal to the hospital in critical condition.
David sends us a link to a story in Houston, Texas in which car salesman Jose Martinez was kidnapped and stuffed in the trunk of the car in which he was accompanying a person he thought was going for a test drive. Jose pulled the trunk escape latch and threw himself to the pavement. The pair of thieves went back to get him when one of them dropped his gun. Jose retrieved the firearm and shot one of the thieves. They unassed the AO and there’s no word on the condition of the target.

Finally a car salesman I can respect!
I live in Houston, I want to buy a car from this guy!
I’m in Houston too:
“Gillman Chrysler Jeep Dodge dealership on West Sam Houston Parkway South in southwest Houston.”
“…until his rifle misfired…” – MAINTENANCE, just as important as range time, need I say more? As to the Alton IL story, it’s ALREADY illegal as hell for a convicted felon to possess firearms and ammo, but it didn’t keep THAT goblin from doing so, so how are more laws going to help prevent that and will they vigorously prosecute him or will they give his case to a lazy Prosecutor and a “Let ’em loose Bruce” kind of Judge?
Two shots and the perp ran off? What rifle and caliber was the homeowner using? A pellet gun?
that Alston story, wearing body armor? Holy bat crap.
Regarding the Alston, IL, story:
Perhaps my math is a little sketchy, but it seems to me that 2011+9 does not equal 2014. Call me crazy, but maybe if this habitual felon was still in prison serving his sentence, he wouldn’t be out in the community committing additional violent felonies. Gotta love the revolving door justice system.
Feeling much better after reading the stories….
