Wednesday morning feel good stories

| December 30, 2015

Amy and FormerUSN sends us our first story this morning from Pasedena, Texas where a fellow was breaking windows trying to force his way into a home when he was met with a wall of lead from the homeowner. There’s no word on his condition yet.

In Jefferson County, Tennessee, a man and his wife were going out for the evening, but the man realized that he forgot his cell phone, so he returned home and found a strange car in his driveway. He went inside and retrieved his hand gun. He saw the intruder running for his getaway car, and reached in to put the car in park to prevent the thief’s escape. That didn’t work so he shot out the tires and held the man until the police arrived.

In Columbus, Ohio, a resident shot 18-year-old Amir Kirby who had forced his way into the home. Kirby was DRT (dead right there).

In Davidson County, North Carolina, a man who happened to be home from work because he was ill encountered three people in his house. He fired at least one shot at them which sent the three scurrying for the woods where the cops picked up two of the three.

In Taylor, Michigan, a homeowner shot a burglar in the leg when he found the thief in his garage early yesterday morning.

Roger sends us a story that happened in Watauga County, North Carolina, a man caught three folks burglarizing his property so he held them with his shotgun until police arrived.

A convenience store owner in New Hannover County, North Carolina says that he pays for his employees to take firearms training and pays for for their licensing;

“If we know they’re gonna take our money and leave us alone, we have no issue with that,” Agil explained. “But what guarantee do we have that they’re not gonna kill us after?”

An enlightened businessman who takes care of his employees.

Heard an update on the radio this morning about the Taylor, MI incident. The intruder was in a garage that was detached from the house. The homeowner went out to investigate and the intruder ran away, whereupon the homeowner shot him. Doesn’t look good for that homeowner right now…if the suspect is no longer a threat, there’s no justification in shooting them.

The ROE is the same here. The guy should have made no statements and immediately lawyered up. With the perp dead, they could have come up with a plausible scenario that didn’t involve “I shot him as he was running away.”

Here in NC deadly force is not authorized to protect property whereas in Texas for example, it is.

Gotta know which laws you’re breaking.

Dapandico

Amir the aspiring Amish rapper?

Dana1371

Yeah, that Amir, alter boy turning his life around and on his way to college.

Jackie

These comments are unbelievable!! How can anyone make jokes about a person losing their life, especially a teenager. I’m sure none of you are perfect as you are not God. EVERYONE makes decisions that obviously are not the best ones. But you get older, more mature and learn from mistakes. These are someone’s son, brother, best friend, grandson etc.. Please people have some respect for these teenagers and their family and loved ones.

Virtual Insanity

Jackie, you want me to have respect for a criminal?

Are you stupid?

Pinto Nag

Jackie, violent criminals aren’t humans, they’re vicious animals on two feet. And it’s fairly clear, from what you wrote, that you’ve never met one. Until you do (assuming you survive the encounter) you have nothing to say to us about respect — or the lack thereof.

Grunt

“How can anyone make jokes about a person losing their life, especially a teenager”

It’s easy. Example:
Why did the home invader cross the road?

Answer. He didn’t! He’s fucking dead! LOLZ!

You want us here to have sympathy for idiots that directly set in motion the events that led to their demise? Nah, not happening.

Eden

Jackie, the blood of those teenagers and other intruders is on their own heads. None of us here make decisions to threaten innocent people in their own homes, vehicles, or businesses, or going about their normal lives. These aren’t “mistakes”; they are criminal, violent acts, and the perpetrators and their families have no justification for complaint whatsoever if they meet with the natural consequences of their actions.

IDC SARC

She wants me.

Story #1 in Pasedena, TX… the intruder took one in the face and two in the buttocks. The son took the first shot, then mama got the gun and shot him twice more. Perp was 43 and had a lengthy criminal history. Imagine that. Looks like it might be several days before he can talk to the cops, with that hole in his face and all.

Gotta love Harris County!

Charlie

Yes, Harris county; home to about 50% of the baddies thatescaped Katrina, but they are slowly being eliminated.
