In Cincinnati, Ohio, a gas station owner grazed the torso of an armed thief with his own firearm when the fellow tried to stick him up. The wounded crook flagged down the local constabulary for some medical attention.

A woman in Belmeade, Texas stopped Andre Dawson from stealing another woman’s purse in a Walmart parking lot by sending some lead in his direction. Dawson tripped and fell, avoiding the gun fire, but he was tackled by a group of men and held for the police. The police want to talk to the gunslinger, she walked away from the scene.

A jewelry store owner in Jacksonville, Florida shot and killed an armed thief after suffering his own wound. The thief was declared DOT (dead over there) at the hospital. The owner’s wound was not life-threatening.

In “Now, that’s a knoife” news, a convenience store clerk in Worcester, Massachusetts thwarted a robbery of his store when a thief tried to rob him using a machete. The clerk pulled out a larger machete and the thief un-assed the AO.

We need to close the knife show loopholes and institute thirty day waiting periods for all machete purchases.

Exciting times we live in, aren’t they? Someone with a brain the size of a pea tries the holdup routine as a way to pad his resume, but when he gets whacked for it, asks the police for help. That kind of ingenuity is not seen as an asset, you know.
