Kerry says Assad must go

| September 20, 2015

Reuters reports that now, after four years of civil war, the displacement of more than 5 million people, more than a quarter million deaths, it’s time to negotiate with Assad to step down from his job as president of Syria. It’s time for negotiation.

Kerry said the United States welcomed Russia’s involvement in tackling the Islamic State in Syria but a worsening refugee crisis underscored the need to find a compromise that could also lead to political change in the country.

“We need to get to the negotiation. That is what we’re looking for and we hope Russia and Iran, and any other countries with influence, will help to bring about that, because that’s what is preventing this crisis from ending,” said Kerry.

We talked the Shah of Iran into stepping down and we put him up on a tropical island paradise. Who knows where the Haitian generals are – we paid them to leave the country and we never heard from them again. I’m sure Assad would have had a cheaper price tag in 2011 when this whole civil war thing began, but now, with all of that death and destruction behind him, it’s a seller’s market. When Assad leaves, all of those loyal government troops will pay for his betrayal of them when he gets bought out.

So, nice timing, Kerry.

I despise Kerry almost as much as loathe Obama.

As that great scholar, Stan Laurel once said, “two peas in a pod.”

Pod-duh!- Oliver Hardy

And in other news, water is wet.

Fucking politicians would fuck up a wet dream.

And a two car funeral…..

Is this because Russia has suddenly jumped into that fight, and we’re backing out in order to avoid going to war against Russia?

John Robert Mallernee

If we are against ISIS, and we’re against Syria, why are we there?

I never did understand why we were involved in the first place – – – in ANY of those countries.

The more likely scenario is Assad will still be in place after sKerry* is long gone.

*sorry, forgot how to spell “feckless dipshit.”

UpNorth

No, you spelled feckless dipshit exactly right.
Going by the picture of Ass-ad and Ms Botox, we should arrange for both of them to spend the rest of their days together. On Greenland, perhaps?

Blaster

Greenland doesn’t deserve that!

Assad: Hello?

Kerry: Hi! Is this Mr. Assad? This is John Kerry with State. We’re calling you today with a special offer that can make your golden years something you’ve always dreamed of. But you’ll need to move fast, this is for a limited time only. Sound good?

Assad: Well…

Putin: Who is it, Bashar?

Assad: Some guy selling retirement plans.

Putin: Hang up the phone.

Assad: I don’t know, Vlad. This sounds interesting.

Putin: Nyet, dummy. It’s a scam. They’re worse than the timeshares in Sochi.

Assad: Mr. Berry? I have to go now. My mother-in-law just pulled in the driveway and I have to let the dog out.

Putin: Any of those nachos left?

I’m still trying to figure out what side we’re on over there. It seems like we aren’t for isis and we aren’t for assad–looking at the syrian war wikipedia map, those are the two with any goddamn chance at ‘winning’ the war. So we’re pretty much throwing our vote away on a third party. Goodie, I’m sure the people of syria will love us for whichever extreme minority we’re trying to install as their government.

…Or have I missed something here?

One wonders which side of the Sunni-Shia divide his imperial highness Obamination is on, he and his principal high priestess and keeper of the Chicago flame, Madame Jarrett. Mayhap that might explain the indecision? That and electing an incompetant media prettyboy with no experience of any consequence, and a backstory that reads like a socialist soap opera written by Stephan King.Only in America, by gawd!

“but a worsening refugee crisis underscored the need to find a compromise that could also lead to political change in the country.” What the hell is Kerry worried about refugees in European countries for? We have our own shitload of illegals and refugees here to worry about. I agree Assad is better gone than there but let Europe stand up and take care of their own borders. Just a friendly hint to them though, don’t take border security lessons from Obama and Kerry or you’ll end up like America.

The Arab Spring Fling didn’t work out. What’s worth, several years ago, Assad appeared on CBS and made good sense, saying, in effect, that language–terms, that there is legitimate internal opposition to every government (including oBaMa’s regime) and that is usual and normal. What isn’t usual, normal, or acceptable is outsiders coming into Syria to destroy the government and wage war. He asked whether the 9-11 attacks were carried out by “the opposition” or by terrorists. oBaMa wants us to think that Assad is using all manner of weaponry to stifle internal, political opposition. Assad says oBaMa is full of shit–in so many words. Inasmuch as oBaMa’s stupid and deadly Arab Spring Fling bears out what Assad elsewhere–in places where, for instance, the oBaMa-endorsed Muslim Brotherhood was booted, I’m buying Assad’s view.

Isolationism is due for a comeback!Lindberg just got bad press.
Plus a couple of hangings, with a soupcon of public floggings.
Why can’t Jeanne-Paul gherkin just retire, and go live on his pickle earnings? Oh, he wants to make a difference.. God protect us! Just so long as I don’t have to see him, his coiffure, and listen to neoKennedyesque maunderings.

Jawn Fraud sKerry is angling for a Nobel Peace Prize. Then, his resume suitably enhanced, he can spit at the Swift Boat Veterans and run for Preezy, probably in 2020.

Yeah, I fairly butchered that but you’ll figure it out.

I hope they checked with Nancy Pelosi before making this statement.

kerry is a braindead asshole. If he ever had a clue, he lost it a lo-o-o-ng time ago. Maybe we’ll get lucky and he’ll choke on his own tie before bodaprez leaves the White House in a shambles.

All that shit you all put up with in Iraq has been destroyed by the Iraqi government through graft and corruption. They do not support their own soldiers. Period. Those soldiers are slowly, bit by bit, leaving for new horizons. They say yes, Iraq is worth fighting for, but the Iraqi government IS NOT.

Expect to see more of this. Much, much more, and expect also to see Vlad increasing his troops’ presence in Syria, not because he feels any allegiance to Assad, but because he is setting up a front to blow back the next wave of ISIS attacks. Syria is just a demolition project.

Blaster

AND,, he could also be pre-positioning forces for the future. You know like we kind of did in Iraq before his majesty “ended the war” and pulled all of our forces out. Now we have no one on the ground to deal with whatever could spring up (like Iran). So, we are no longer there, but the Russians are. Obama’s administration just keeps outdoing themselves. Just when I think they couldn’t F it up any more, they show me that they are not quitters.

We all better pray for our country and the next president, because they are going to have one hell of a mess to clean up.

Ex-PH2

‘one hell of a mess to clean up’ – That is a serious understatement.

“At least 75 fighters trained by U.S., British and Turkish forces have entered northern Syria, a monitoring group said. The fighters crossed over from Turkey on Friday and Saturday and are now located in areas north of the city of Aleppo, said the London-based Syrian Observatory for Human Rights. Their arrival comes shortly after U.S. officials acknowledged that the Pentagon’s program to train and equip moderate Syrian rebels to help fight ISIS had fallen far short of its original aims.” Source: CNN Today

There’s that “moderate Syrian rebels” description again. Gotta love it. I believe that a moderate rebel is one who will slit your throat but not burn down your house. In any event, I want to see the passports of the 75. I also would like to know how it is the US or the UN or, for that matter, the LGBT Coalition gets to decide what governments need toppling, when, and how. These so-called moderate rebels are what I believe Assad would label terrorists. And if they are not, how does inserting them into Syria help to defeat ISIS? That’s a rhetorical question.

B Woodman

I wonder how sKerry would feel if Assad said that he must go, to step down from his position as SecState. And that Assad was involving the Russkies in the negotiations.

I know how I’D feel (YYAAAAAAAAAYYYYYY!!!)
