Thursday morning feel good stories

| May 28, 2015

Our first story this morning happened in Nevada where, I guess, they try to make people dance like in the old Three Stooges cowboy scenes;

D’Vontae D’Shawn Richard, 22, approached Kinard because he believed [Kirsten] Kinard had stolen the gold chain from him about two weeks earlier.

Richard tried to snatch the necklace from Kinard’s neck and the two began to wrestle, the arrest report said.

[Eric] Blake, who police said has a concealed carry permit and a registered handgun, drew his gun from his hip when Richard grabbed Kinard. The man who was with Richard also pulled out a gun, and both men fired several rounds, according to the arrest report.

Blake told police he emptied his magazine, which held about 15 rounds, and thought he hit one of the robbers. He didn’t know where the rest of his rounds went, the report said.

One of Blake’s bullets hit Richard in his right calf, the arrest report said.

Kinard tried to crawl away when he saw the robber’s gun, but was shot in the pelvic area and fingers. Blake was shot in his right ankle. The car wash employee, who had been detailing Kinard’s car, was hit in the right foot, the arrest report said.

Richard told police in an interview that he initially thought Kinard’s necklace was the same one that was stolen from him weeks earlier.

But now Richard thinks he had it all wrong and Kinard was not the person who stole his necklace, he told detectives.

In Georgia;

Once on the scene, according to a media release, deputies were contacted by Lynette and John Jackson. They went to the mobile home park to check on Hubert Brady, who lives in the park, and found him lying on the floor. As the Jacksons were trying to help Brady, they say a man by the name of John Ferguson came inside the home. They didn’t know Ferguson and told deputies he was acting “crazy” and was very aggressive. John Jackson told Ferguson to leave, but when we moved towards Lynette, Jackson grabbed a gun that belonged to his wife and shot Ferguson.

In New Jersey, the women don’t shoot as well as they should, but they shoot well enough;

A 36-year-old woman heard noises outside her house, followed by banging on the rear door. While the door was being forced open, the woman fired a shot from a handgun, Lt. Stephen Varn said.

About eight minutes later, Varn said, police received a call about a man shot on Eastburn Avenue.

Police were able to place the man, Jermoine Morris, 35, of Trenton, at the Sheridan Avenue residence earlier, Varn said.

As always, thanks to Chief Tango for the links.

15 rounds fired with one hit on the target and that in a non-lethal place? Range Time! And a bystander was hit? One “aw shit” wipes out all the “atta boys”.

Pinto Nag

Range time, indeed. I would think a qualified instructor to explain why ‘blaze away and hope you hit something’ isn’t the proper approach should also be required here.

Thunderstixx

That idiot is proof that you have to know your target and aim at that target before you fire.
Also, make sure that the guy you are aiming at is the guy you think he is.
He’ll lose his gun rights over this moronic stunt, as well he should.
Sheesh.
