Tuesday morning feel good stories
The first story this morning happened in Missouri where a woman had to shoot her neighbor in self-defense;
When they arrived on scene, authorities found Clint Collins, also from Annada, dead.
In a statement from the Sheriff’s office, they believe the shooter to be the homeowner and, so far, police believe he acted in self defense.
Sandy Couch lives on the river and says just about an hour before the shooting she watched Collins and his family float by in the small tributary of the river.
“I’m sad about it, two weeks ago he cut my willow tree we laughed we talked, he talked about taking the boys out fishing,” Couch said. “His girlfriend and his children going down river toward his home at a slow speed and I waved at them and they waved back.”
The next story comes from Upstate New York;
The investigation has revealed that at approximately 1:37 a.m., the owner of the residence was sitting near a campfire with two female subjects when he observed a male subject standing behind the residence.
Troopers said the homeowner retrieved a .223/.20 gauge shotgun rifle combination from his residence and returned to area where he last saw the subject.
Upon locating the unknown male subject, a physical altercation ensued where the homeowner was stabbed several times in the left shoulder with an unknown weapon. The homeowner responded by discharging one round from the long gun in the direction of the subject as he was fleeing the scene into a wooded area.
The injuries suffered by the homeowner were superficial and he declined medical attention at the scene.
New York needs more range time, whereas Missouri has found just the right balance.

Jonn,
We get plenty of range time in NY … it is just that we have do it 7 rounds at a time.
